What's great about Riven's soundtrack (YT playlist), though, is that by the time you reach the point in the game where you hear this, you've already heard it several times, as parts of Ghen's Theme are used as leitmotifs in multiple other tracks for important locations [sp]symbolizing his absolute control over Riven and the Moiety[/sp]... starting from very early in the game:

eerie as fuck.
In particular, there are only two places in Dark Souls that have ambient music; the rest is cutscenes and boss fights only. The first is Firelink Shrine; Ash Lake is tucked away somewhere and it's possible for players to miss it entirely.

It's a great soundtrack IMO, but it seems it is only used in pre-rendered cutscenes...because the rest of the music is ambient sounds of shit.

Alive Inside is probably my favourite track from TWD.

My friends and I used to set the combat sim music to Chicago, it's perfect for that.

It's really a beautiful piece, both happy and sad all at the same time. The song itself is an experience, let alone the game.
Seriously, this fucking game, one of the best executed pieces of storytelling I've ever experienced in any medium. I hope S3 really delivers something powerful.

dude, oh my god I was going to post this but you beat me to it
one of the most incredible scenes in gaming for me, the music, the dialogue, it's just perfect
i've said it so many times on facepunch but i'll say it again: KOTOR II is easily the best Star Wars story ever told, including the movies. If you're a Star Wars fan it's a must play.

I almost cried when I heard it in Season 2 (Episode 5).
Long ago, in a time before times, (about four years and a bit) my father traded in everything for a Kinect.
And just a week ago, I bought myself a PS2 and some games to rebuild what was lost.

I love songs from the X series, this one in particular:

Gives a great sense of vertigo and depth.

This one is quite soothing too:

serious contender for my favourite song of all time, i play this game literally every day for at least an hour, and have heard this song soooo many times over the years yet i never get tired of it. and it's only a 50 second loop. how can music be this good.

Even though Skyrim gets a bad rep even from me, the soundtrack really makes this game very enjoyable with some mods added in of course. There's something about this first track in this video that brings upon the listener a feeling of warmth and comfort if you're taking refuge in a village or camp.

Woah, I never realized the same dude made the music for Human Revolution and XCOM, but now that I pay attention to it it's quite obvious.

Years back, I made a version of this that looped and would play it to help me sleep.
