Two pages worth of ambient music and nothing from time splitters?

Shame on you.
Even if I didn't like video games, I would love the soundtrack. It is unique and incredibly well made.

They are all memorable/good, but this one sticks out the most.

Fallout 1 had a wonderful soundtrack, pretty cool that these tracks appeared later in the series as well <3
I'm lazy and don't want to get a video, but I loved the music from Twilight Princess. Maybe it's because the first time I played it I had just had my wisdom teeth pulled and was blitzed on painkillers. I just loved the music. Still one of my favorite soundtracks ever.

I never actually played the game this music was from, but it was on a UT99 map that I played from time to time.
And some others:

the Payday 2 soundtrack always got me excited, it was written well and having it play in the background of anything made the game much better.

Not sure if I'd call it "ambient" but then again, most of the music being posted in this thread isn't.

C418 is a really neat producer. I wish he got more work or projects, he really set a perfect tone for minecraft. This track just gives me a huge swell of nostalgia for when I first found the game (despite not being that long ago). Another one of the artists who got me starting in exploring electrically produced music.

Pretty much the entire Fallout 1 and 2 ambient soundtrack.
These always stuck out to me the most.

Hearing them return in New Vegas was simply amazing.
Can't have a VG music thread without Dusk Horizon. I'd probably put Unreal on the top of my favorite game OSTs.

Also, I really loved the style of the original Thief games. The use of electronic beats alongside ambient soundscapes worked really well in Thief's dark-fantasy universe.
