I wear Ivy Caps/Newsboy hats do to bad haircuts, and just generally liking the style of them... I get called a hipster... A lot....
Isn't that basically Indie? Correct me if I'm wrong.
From what I know people that try to be different but are pretty much the same.
Indie turned into "hipster".
You just leave it out. It goes back over time as long as there's no scar tissue.
but it stays stretched out and awkward looking when you take it out, right?

Another very old style that has been popular for decades, now a victim of people's ignorance.
OP is trying to be a non-conformist with the Hipster lifestyle and saying he is isn't a Hipster. He's totally a Hipster.
Wasn't that a skateboarder thing for awhile?
but it stays stretched out and awkward looking when you take it out, right?
Yeah. It takes a long time to go back depending on the size.
i don't even know what hipster is anymore
sonic youth and arcade fire owns fuck everyone else
OP is a hipster complaining that the term "hipster" is too mainstream now.
i don't even know what hipster is anymore

That's the point I'm trying to get at. People like you and me that like those indie and less popular bands are getting fucked over by this stupid trend.

Yeah, you're a little late on that joke.

I can't keep up with them. First the fucking annoying shutter shades.
Then their choice of awful music.
How they are irritating to look at.
How they also hang in groups and say "were so fucking original" when I can't even tell the difference between them?
Why the change in name? It reminds me of "hippy" for obvious reasons.
It makes me sad. I want to hurt a "hipster"
Also at any chance are they a cross-breed between a Hippy and a hamster?
Typical xenophobia. That's all it's ever been throughout history. What's funny is, the most despised emerging cultures have outlived the old norms.
You just leave it out. It goes back over time as long as there's no scar tissue.
Thats not true, it stays like that forever unless you either
A: Glue the two ends back together
B: Sew them back together
My friend has gauges and it creates this stuff called ear chesse, its really gross. Its like dirt, puss, earwax, blood, sweat, and other shit, all mixed together to create this cheese type cream that comes from the ear after being gauged.

I'm telling you, unless they were scarred because the person tried to increase too quickly, they will go back over time. I've seen it with two of my friends, and I've done enough research online to support this as well. I've also talked to the guys that do my piercings, and they're pretty damn experienced.

I will take your knowledge on that and fund it with my own. I suppose their are several ways to return your ears to their previous state.
This thread is rapidly deteriorating.
I don't like pop music. I absolutely hate it, except for ones that are actually meaningful and convey emotions other than the generic "lol sex love naughty hurr durr party". I also feel the same about rap and techno. Rap is just spewing out rhyming words excessively fast, throwing away any emotions that the words you say could have conveyed if you took the time to carefully and cleverly place them in a musical piece. Techno sounds like lifeless, computer generated music. I am a hands-on person, I prefer to play my music with instruments instead of allowing a machine to come up with them for me.
Those are the only things that set me apart from the crowd. Otherwise I dress normally, have my hair reasonably short, and don't have weird ass piercings all over because such things are just unneccessarily and ridiculously anti-mainstream. I don't give a damn about fashion honestly. Sure, it might show you are somewhat artistic in the way you dress, but fuck that. If I wanted to be artistic with my clothes I would make my own original designs. Clothes are, in my opinion, to keep you from dying of frostbite when you walk outside, perhaps with some aesthetically pleasing designs on them. Instead of that useless shit I draw, paint, play music, write, and stuff like that to show that I am artistic.
Being a hipster is just going too far. You are supposed to be what you like to be, not going to extreme lengths to be opposite the mainstream. If I like The Beatles, I like The Beatles. If a huge group at my school started liking The Beatles, I'd still like them because it's who I am.

I hear plenty of this music because my friends play it all the time. Of course I don't delve into whatever meanings people are trying to put into this music because I dislike it just from hearing it (herp im a terrible person dont judge a book by its cover), but you can't say I know nothing about it.

no i definitely can if you call rap spewing words
http://youtube.com/watch?v=ycJ5m5Mt9JE
every single word in that one is carefully placed and has a meaning, if you really care that much about it
but no, rap to you is just "spewing out rhyming words excessively fast, throwing away any emotions that the words you say could have conveyed if you took the time to carefully and cleverly place them in a musical piece."
it's not rap's fault you don't take the time to understand it, it's your fault
and techno is played on real instruments and it has to be painstakingly put together like patchwork.

Skinny Jeans are just wrong, so wrong.
I remember last October when I needed to get new glasses seeing as my vision rots away more and more near sighted every year,
and when I got ray bans I thought it was just another frame, and everyone was like "you got raybans??"
and Im just kinda like yea..... I mean it's just a brand name, who cares?
by the way they arent the goofy ones Im seeing on google images, they are proper, normal eyeglasses frames.
managed to find them http://www.ray-ban.com/usa/products/optical/RB6076?var=2553
I learned something today. Vans are hipster shoes now?
