I'm starting to really hate the whole "hipster" trend, and not in the way you may think.

Hipsters don't seem to show up that much in the UK. It's mainly just people who like pop, people who like rock, and people who like heavier stuff (metal etc.) You don't seem to get many people who hate things just because they're popular over here, at least in my area.
FUCKING THANK YOU. you have NO IDEA how much people call me a hipster for either
1. the things i wear: SORRY i like the way i look, why does it matter to you? (i wear flannels and v-necks and that automatically makes me a hipster)
2. the music i listen to: sorry i cant fucking stand hip hop or post-hardcore (or "screamo" as most retards call it)
and 3. i read books. YEP. kids in my school are so fucking unintelligent and arrogant that someone called me a hipster because i was reading a fucking book while wearing a flannel.
i fucking hate our generation.
For me hipsters are people who try to make themselves different so hard they are actually classified in a group.

if you wear deep v-necks then yeah, you're a hipster
if you wear deep v-necks then yeah, you're a hipster
nope. average v-necks. my friend bought me a deep v and i threw it away but i said my mom did by accident :v:
Sometimes I like to piss off my friends by acting like an ultimate hipster :v:
Anyways, I do have a little hipster in me, but in a positive way. It's more like doing something new and different stuff for fun than not doing stuff because it's "too mainstream".
TBH when I think of hipsters I think of people using ipads as big mp3 players with Beats by Dr Dre headphones.
Oh yah, I saw that exact type of person 3 days ago.
Being hipster is too mainstream for me.
When I was clinically depressed I was called a hipster, and I still don't know why. I wasn't doing anything to indicate it.

So much effort just to be "original"

I guess that's just your area. There are so many of the fucking things here i feel like I need to Kill it With Fire.
And also, sorry OP, but no-one wears just Ray bans. Is not possible.
Ray Bans only work with other faggotry attire.
I have vans :saddowns:

Pardon? Is it my fault I walked over to get a slushie saw a person fitting the description I gave and told someone about it?
If so them I'm terribly sorry.
Skinny jeans are gross on men.
Way to sterilize yourself.

He was agreeing with you, not talking about you.

He didn't clarify it well. Pardon me for following standard English rules. If you reply to somebody without giving a target for your statement you're directing the statement at the person you're talking to.
If I could hear people's tone of voice I could tell they're was talking about other people but as we're just using text you need to give a target for your statement.
I got called a hipster once for saying a few songs on the radio sucked
Only reason I hate most of today's music is because it's played all the damn time.
99.5 K-A-T-Y, bringin you 35 hours of non-stop commercial free replays of Teenage Dream and anything by Rihanna!
But then again, I've been listening to another 12 songs in winamp on loop the past two weeks :v:

I apologise if you misunderstood me.
So, according to you, I can go around calling people "gay niggers"?
Technically, you can.
It doesn't mean you won't get your ass kicked for it though.
get over yourself
people can call you whatever they want
What ethnicity are you of? I don't think you'd say the same thing if I called you same rather racist names. eh?
Definitions change. Sorry man.
What ethnicity are you of? I don't think you'd say the same thing if I called you same rather racist names. eh?
but the point is that you can still call him anything you want.
taking life too seriously bro.
Hipster bastard.
I never see that on Facebook
When I read the title I was like, hey, he's gonna say that he hates people who call other hipster. I was right. I agree though.
1) Hipster- not a new thing. Term has been around since the 40's.
2) There are no such things as "hipsters". It's called being an affluent dick. Most everyone has some hipsteresque trait regardless of how insignificant, it just comes down to how much people was to point out this trait.
End of story. Everyone fits into some sort of label in some way. Don't like it...ignore it.
I hate being called hipster. My friend calls me that all the time just because of my clothes and my hair.
I look like shit in loose jeans and loose shirts and without my current hairstyle.
if you wear deep v-necks then yeah, you're a hipster
I hope you're just saying that to annoy people.
I opened this thread fulling intending you to say "it had become too mainstream"
I've never heard hipster used in conversation as an insult, used to tease someone occasionally but never in a hostile way.
