The first time I met my mum's boyfriend's son.
Damn, it was so awkward.
Last time there was an awkward silence with me i just suddenly told a joke
Me:"hey guys..how much does a polar bear have to weigh?"
friends:"i dunno..."
Me:"enough the break the ice"
goes down either reeeeally badly or badly.
Ah you have so many of these if you're not a naturally good conversationalist as I'm sure many of you are not and know what I'm talking about.

Except it doesn't.
:colbert:
Why do you have to break the ice with your friends?
I when to hold the door for my girl friend, but I elbowed her in the face. It was silent till I noticed the blood...
Today when one of my friends made fun of one my other friends mum while she was picking him up, apparently the other side of a car park is in earshot
I was on a "double date" as they're known. It failed terribly just so you all know, she was silent the whole time, apparnetly because she didnt feel well. Anyway, we went otuside the cinema and she grabbed her mouth and ran back inside to the toilet, like she was going to be sick. I looked at the other two and said "I wasnt THAT bad, was I"?
They stayed silent.
Was that not funny??
my friend drove me home once
after about five minutes she was like "well, someone just had gay octuplets"
a good icebreaker
"I when to hold the door....."
I stopped reading there for some reason
Didn't have my contacts in the other night and thought I saw my friend walking towards me so I was casually just looking at them and smiling. As I got closer I realised i didn't know the guy and it must have looked like I was checking him out. Bad times.
Almost every time I speak, seems like.

yeah and im sure youre such a pro at social interaction
We're on Facepunch, we expect people not to have much social confidence. Generally those with most posts don't and just look at that weird habits thread to prove what crazyness we consist of.
I kid, FP.

I didn't say I was. That's why I posted that.
When my mom told me my grandpa died. I did not really feel anything, while she was crying on the phone. I just felt like the biggest prick ever.
And of course the silence after she announced he died. I just didn't say anything while she sobbed on. :(

This, when I talk to friends/people it's okay, they laugh and shit, but If I do this to girls and some people I don't know, they fall as silent as if I said something really improper, like:
"Hi, I fantasise about you in my sleep and I'm gonna rape you someday! :haw:".
...
Goddamnit.
