But no smoking rooms, fuck. At $11 a room though, who can argue.
This post implies you smoke. If you do, pick up some Gauloises. I've never had them here in the States, but I've heard they're really good.
Have fun.
I met some really decent Quebecois while I was in paris, they helped us break into a park there, or a fenced off bit that looked interesting, though right now I'm trying to remember what it was called. Ah yes, Parc des Buttes, if you google maps it you see this bridge thing, which is fenced off, should be good to see. When are thinking of going anyway?
Watch out for the black guys who come to you showing little eiffel towers and saying: "forre for wan joero".
edit: Musée de la découverte is really cool
Be sure to go to Disneyland Paris to try the Space Mountain: Mission 2 rollercoaster.
It's fucking awesome, it's like, you get launched from the inside of this cannon thing into a pitch black building with like lights 'n shit, it's fucking cool.
Have fun!
Been there before, it's a nice place with some nice people but a majority of the people are assholes for no reason
Bumping my thread as it were, since I was on an international flight. Now I'm three hours from Paris, and its just a matter of, you know, fucking getting there.

Will do. What kind of flavour they got? I smoke rooftops (Marlboro Reds, I don't know how prevalent that nickname is) when I do smoke, and nothing else.

There's black guys selling shit everywhere in Europe. When we were in Venice, they all spoke like twenty languages each and selling these impressively well made Gucci handbag knock offs for like $100 (Compared to $2,500 for the real thing). Bought one for my girlfriend in the end. She doesn't need to know, hurf durf.
Looking up Musée de la Découverte as well.

Disneyland Paris is way out of budget range. I could afford it, but then I'd be missing out on a great deal of Paris itself, sadly.

Hah, I've seen some of such knock-offs here for about $10.

Impressively well made?
Yeah, I'm no expert, and neither is my girlfriend, but needless to say two years later and I'm still the only one who knows its a knockoff.
Well, that and the guy who saw me buy it/made it.

Most are, I can't really tell the difference.
dont go to Paris it's the biggest disapointment ever.
Paris is awesome. Well for me it was.
I stayed in a hostel next to the subway in an Arabian street. The subway costs 11,60 for 10 tickets. We (5 of us) ended up using 30 tickets (so about 7 euro pp) in 2 days and visited the Notre Dame and the Eiffel. Kinda cliche i know, but it's awesome to see for real. Photo's just don't do justice.
I went there expecting nothing. After all, it can't be that different from my own place.
But it was. Musicians on the subway and all. Awesome.
