Just saw it, was amazing. It still had the quirky comedic moments from the other films, which is nice.
lol my theater was empty as hell when and after it ended
still a good movie and saddened that it ended :\
Just watched this, and I wasn't disappointed.
Actually, I was disappointed with a few things, but I still loved the movie.

But shit, I'm sad that it's over.
Going to become a wizard so I don't age, because clearly that's what happened at the end.
Better that than using other actors, in my opinion.

They could've used some make up or prosthetics or something.
They could've used some make up or prosthetics or something.
Actually they did, to the point where people complained so much that they ended up re-shooting it.
Actually they did, to the point where people complained so much that they ended up re-shooting it.
I think i remember seeing set pictures of that.
Watched it at the midnight premiere on Thursday and loved it to hell. People there were going nuts (there was this one janitor sweeping the floor and he goes: "You guys may have amazing costumes, but none of you can say that they've held a Nimbus 2011!" and then continues sweeping the floor with his broom).
The movie is awesome though. Sticks to the book plot the best, outstanding performance by the cast (especially Alan Rickman, he steals the show in the second half of the movie), superb visual effects and an extremely satisfying end to an era of pure awesomeness. It's like I have nothing left to live for now. :(
I did feel emptier after finishing the 7th book in 2007 though....this is just a milder version of that Post-Potter Depression feeling. :/
That bit where [sp]Snape is holding Lily's body and crying next to baby Harry[/sp] stuck in my mind.
:C
I really enjoyed it.
I thought that was the best moment of the movie, to be honest. Seeing Snape show such emotion after 7 movies with nothing but a cold hard stare really shakes you.
I can't take my mind off the films now.. I was around 7 when I watched the first. And here I am now, 17, the series just ended. This is the only series I've ever watched that stuck with me. I'm mega sad now.. :(
I've seen every HP movie in cinema but I can hardly remember anything about the story :saddowns:
Still, solid movie but I miss the catharsis from the ending.
Just saw the movie. Great movie, I loved the part where they show [sp]Harry's parents as ghosts[/sp]
But 1 thing that's bothering me is, [sp]How did Harry live? I thought he was killed?[/sp]

[sp]Dumbledore said he had a choice to go back to living or stay there in Ghostly Kings Cross and be dead. Harry Chose to live[/sp]
[sp]Dumbledore said he had a choice to go back to living or stay there in Ghostly Kings Cross and be dead. Harry Chose to live[/sp]
Ah, I couldn't hear that part with all the yapping girls laughing and crying
[sp]Dumbledore said he had a choice to go back to living or stay there in Ghostly Kings Cross and be dead. Harry Chose to live[/sp]
No I'm pretty sure it's because he used the [sp]Resurrection stone.[/sp]
No I'm pretty sure it's because he used the [sp]Resurrection stone.[/sp]
[sp]That caused Harry's parents to appear. And Sirius Black. I'm pretty sure it wasn't the cause of Harry living. Like Mio Akiyama said, Harry had the choice to live or not. And he said he wanted to live[/sp]
No I'm pretty sure it's because he used the [sp]Resurrection stone.[/sp]
[sp]He left it there in the woods where he used it, right? He definitely didn't have it when he was "killed"[/sp]
[sp]He left it there in the woods where he used it, right? He definitely didn't have it when he was "killed"[/sp]
[sp]He dropped it after he asked his mom and dad if they will be there with him.[/sp]
[sp]He dropped it after he asked his mom and dad if they will be there with him.[/sp]
[sp]Which is why he couldn't have used it when he met Voldemort.[/sp]
[sp]He disarmed its owner, the wand couldn't kill him.[/sp]
[sp]He disarmed its owner, the wand couldn't kill him.[/sp]
[sp]But the owner of the wand is Harry. Malfoy disarmed Dumbledore[/sp]
[sp]But the owner of the wand is Harry. Malfoy disarmed Dumbledore[/sp]
[sp]in the Room of Requirement Harry disarmed Malfoy, therefore Harry was the owner, and it could only kill the horcrux inside him[/sp]

It doesn't work like that. It merely projects images of people close to you who have died, it drove the original owner of it insane with grief; It's why Dumbledore went for the ring (He knew it was cursed, he wasn't stupid), because he wanted to see Ariana again and set things straight with her/beg forgiveness.
But I guess that's book stuff.

Cadmus Peverell was a sad bastard :v:

He seriously got the short end of the stick
[editline]16th July 2011[/editline]
Also, why did nobody test whether or not you could die under the cloak?

Well, I do know how it works. I just mentioned he dropped it, so there was no chance at all that he could have used it.
Anyway, I'm being silly.

Though, on a totally unrelated note, there were some parts that were a lot better in the books.
Most notably, in my opinion, [sp]the battle, the death of people like Fred and Lupin, the kiss of Ron and Hermione etc, etc.[/sp]

It was more a symbolic thing, rather than "haha death you can't touch me I'm invisible.". The point was, the other two chose extremely selfish objects and weren't very wise, Death could easily claim them. Why would anyone want an invisibility cloak if they're widely available? People would kill for the most powerful wand ever, and people would kill themselves over the Stone.

How is immortality/invisibility not more selfish than resurrection from the dead?
