did anyone else shit themeselves when [sp]helena ravenclaw[/sp] screamed at harry in a outburst?
Yes. Also, can anyone remember when [sp]Harry went to Voldemort to die[/sp] the music getting extremely loud and then just going silent when he opened/closed his eyes? Someone thought it would be a brilliant idea to fart when it was silent. A load of teenage girls were laughing for about 10 minutes
Going to see it Thursday, hopefully the cinema isn't too packed. Might re-watch some of the movies tomorrow to refresh my mind of the plot, it's been ages since I read the books.
i think it's amazing how the film has made half a billion in 5 days.... It beat Twilight: Eclipse for biggest midnight release theirs was $30 million Harry Potters was $43 million... Also became biggest day release at $91 million beating Twilight: New Moon's $72.7 million It became fastest opening weekend ever at $169.2 beating Dark Knight's $158.4 million and is officially the fastest film to make half a billion achieving it in 5 days beating transformers dark of the moon who did it in 9 days.... I have seen this film 3 times and am due to see it at least 3 more time I love this film!
Watched it again today (was so distracted by the 3D version. Very dark and blurry, so I watched it in 2D today). A girl behind us was sobbing a lot throughout all the emotion scenes. Got a bit annoying towards the end.
I just saw it. Was okay. The guy who plays Neville isn't that bad looking
I just realized that Tom Felton, the dude who plays Draco is having a part in the Planet of the Apes. [editline]19th July 2011[/editline]
If Harry is a [sp]Horcrux, why didn't the Basilisk fang kill him/the part of Voldemort inside him in the Chamber of Secrets movie?[/sp]
If Harry is a [sp]Horcrux, why didn't the Basilisk fang kill him/the part of Voldemort inside him in the Chamber of Secrets movie?[/sp]
[sp]I thought the horcruxes had to be killed in order. Oh and I think the reason why was because the Basilisk fang needed to fatally hit Harry in order to destroy the Horcrux, throughout the films they used the fangs to destroy objects.[/sp]
If anything she could keep writing stories based in the universe, like the spinoff books. It would be amusing to see a "History of Magic" book similar to the creatures books she did early into the series. [editline]19th July 2011[/editline] As an early teens HP fan I really enjoyed those.
Human Horcruxes are a lot more complicated so they all don't behave the same way
If Harry is a [sp]Horcrux, why didn't the Basilisk fang kill him/the part of Voldemort inside him in the Chamber of Secrets movie?[/sp]
I haven't thought about this before... I would assume that if [sp]Harry had died in Chamber of Secrets, then yes the horcrux would have been destroyed. But obviously he didn't die in CoS so it wasn't destroyed.[/sp]
Thinking about seeing it tomorrow, none of my mates wanna see it. So it looks like I'm gonna be gunning it alone.
Holy shit, I didn't realize until just now looking at the wikipedia pages for the books that the series actually took place completely in the 90's.
I watched it with a friend and thought it was quite awesome. Some parts felt a bit rushed, but otherwise spot on. My friend did mention something, which kind of ruined a big part of it for me. If the Serpeants fang can destroy Horcruxes, then when Harry got stabbed in Chamber of Secrets, how come the Voldemort part of him die? I haven't read the books, so I'm not sure if this was explained or not, but it seems like quite a plot hole. Nevermind, didn't read whole thread.
Did anyone else jump when [sp]the first of McGonagall's statues dropped down? That was one hell of a bang when it hit the floor.[/sp]
-snip- Gosh darnit
Well the first book is set in '97. So the last one is set in 2004. But yeah it's funny how the wizarding world is so timeless you wouldn't notice if it was set in the 50's.
I was reading about the Horcrux's and the first film is actually set in 1991 according to the Wikia. Philosophers Stone - 1991 - 1992 Chamber of Secrets - 1992 - 1993 Prisoner of Azkaban - 1993 - 1994 Goblet of Fire - 1994 - 1995 Order of the Phoenix - 1995 - 1996 Half-Blood Prince - 1996 - 1997 Deathly Hallows - 1997 - 1998 I also never realised it before, I guess I just presumed that it was set in modern day.
Might go and see it again, my new fav. film. Also when the shit massive box set comes out, im going to buy it
There better be plenty of deleted scenes on the DVD/BD :colbert:

The only thing I can think that I didn't like about the film was there were about 3 shots that were obviously put in just for 3D like when the Dragon breaks out of Gringotts Looked cheap
Epilogue in Deathly Hallows Takes place in 2017
Come 1 September, 2017 I'll be sure to hang around King's Cross.
[sp]"I, HARRY POTTER, now own the STRONGEST and BEST wand IN THE WORLD."[/sp] [sp]snap[/sp]
yeah, but if he kept it, he would of been like the most powerful wizard, and get greedy, he was doing the good thing
yeah, but if he kept it, he would of been like the most powerful wizard, and get greedy, he was doing the good thing
Then why did he keep the other Deathly Hallow (the invisibility cloak) as that could be used for truly evil things (my mind is brilliant). Or did I miss something - like my dad who slept through it all bar the last 20 minutes.
yeah, but if he kept it, he would of been like the most powerful wizard, and get greedy, he was doing the good thing
I was referring to how easy it was to [sp]break the strongest wand ever[/sp]
I was referring to how easy it was to [sp]break the strongest wand ever[/sp]
Didn't it start cracking for Voldemort (I think) / You Know Who / The root of all evil / [sp] Harry's other half [/sp] - or was that something different.
I was referring to how easy it was to [sp]break the strongest wand ever[/sp]
I never got the idea that breaking a piece of wood with hair and feathers in it would be all that difficult.
