How is my post above dumb, the books just didn't interest me.
The part about reading the very first page of the book and then getting bored maybe
The part about reading the very first page of the book and then getting bored maybe
That is what happened, I didn't like it, not my style.
That is what happened, I didn't like it, not my style.
1 Page? You based the whole book of one page? - Says it itself really doesnt it
That is what happened, I didn't like it, not my style.
Believe me... the books get better. Book 1 and 2 are my worst, but they are so short you can just stick with it for those and then once you get to the chunkier books, they get so much better
Is the 3D good?
Is the 3D good?
It's alright. Some parts are really good in 3D, but then for a lot of it, the 3D isn't exceptional. It's not the best film in 3D, but it's still good
1 Page? You based the whole book of one page? - Says it itself really doesnt it
I judge a book by its first couple of pages, if I don't like them, I move on to avoid wasting time.
Is the 3D good?
i would imagine so, i saw it in 2D though so iunno [editline]24th July 2011[/editline]
I judge a book by its first couple of pages, if I don't like them, I move on to avoid wasting time.
you said you read one page though
I liked the movie overall, but throughout the movie found that a lot of parts were missing that I was expecting.
I judge a book by its first couple of pages, if I don't like them, I move on to avoid wasting time.
Seeing as you have already watched the films and you know the story, you should start reading 4 or 5 if you really think the 1st one won't be worth it. Don't base your whole view of the series on the 1st page on book one. I admit, yes it is boring... but that doesn't mean they all are.
.. get out
What??? [editline]24th July 2011[/editline] Why??
Some scenes they cut from the film: - Some more shots of the Carrows at Hogwarts. - Death Eaters at Gringotts after the dragon escape (probably explained how the goblins ended up in Malfoy Manor). - More shots of Death Eaters in Hogsmeade. - Percy showing up at Hogwarts, walks up behind the Weasley twins and they nod at him. - Slyhterin students breaking out of the dungeons, running over Filch. - Some more shots of the Hogwarts protection being destroyed by Voldemort. - Snatchers running through the forbidden forest on their way to Hogwarts. - Neville carrying a dead boy. - More Voldemort speech, Ron yelling. - Big battle between students/teachers and Death Eaters. - Hagrid throwing Death Eaters off a bridge. - McGonagall stunning a Death Eater in the Great Hall. - Oliver Wood dueling in the Great Hall. - Bellatrix taunting Mrs.Weasley. - Harry setting fire to Voldemort's robes. - Voldemort asking Harry why he lives, and Harry responds with "Because I have something worth living for", as shown in the trailers. - Two more shots of Harry and Voldemort during the final duel. - Flitwick fighting Nagini. - People walking out of the great hall to look at Harry after he defeats Voldemort. - Teddy Lupin cut from epilogue. - Station guard from PS and CoS cut from epilogue. - Conversation between Harry and his daughter. Confirmed to be on the DVD/BD: - Hermione disguising Ron outside Shell Cottage. - Extended conversation between Aberforth and the trio.
Two things I learned from this movie: splashing water looks hella cool in 3D, and no one EVER thinks to open their plastic wrapped candies until a quiet part with crucial plot details.
I actually thought that was her. Before I saw a picture of Rowling, I always pictured her like Lily in the first movie. Those hpotterfacts are pretty darn interesting; can anyone say something about their credibility?
anyone else think the way voldemort died was sorta disappointing? i know the wand wasn't his but he was kicking ass before the snake died. this begs the question, why does he leave it unguarded inside a room full of wizards, knowing that if it were to die he would fail?

If they all come from the same source, I think they're pretty credible.

[sp] Voldemort's death was a bit annoying, even without the elder wand, he's a brilliant wizard[/sp] I guess he left the snake because he was [sp] so angry that Harry was still alive, and let his emotions get in the way. i.e stalk harry no matter who and what gets in his way/left behind[/sp]

Seeing Bellatrix get blasted off the table and hitting the floor with loud thump would have been more satisfying than the disintegration she got.[/sp]

Neville sees the sword, pulls it out, and charges at Voldemort and cuts Nagini's head off who is next to Voldemort because Harry requested Neville to do so. But the movie wanted to be flashy so yeah. In the books they both drop down limp, and iirc Harry jabs at Voldemort's body to check if he is truly dead while everyone is watching and everything...

Like what they did with Lord of the Rings extended editions. I don't see why they wouldn't do it, but I have heard Order of the Pheonix was originally 3 hours long and theres still no extended cut of it. I REALLY hope those scenes are in the dvd. I felt like if this movie was just fifteen minutes longer, it would be my favorite movie of all time.
I think Yates said he didn't want to do an extended edition, so I really doubt that's going to happen. Though I hope they release them all as deleted scenes, though this is wishful thinking, as WB sucks when it comes to DVD/BD extras. So it's safe to say that most of these will never be released (like the huge amounts of footage they cut from OOTP).

PS/SS and CoS Ultimate Editions have already been released/will be released soon. They include versions of the film with all deleted scenes put into them, and I doubt they're stopping at the first two films. And I just googled it and apparently ALL the films have ultimate editions. And WTF again, looked into it, apparently although all films have/will have Ultimate editions, only the first two will include extended movies. Now they're just takin' a piss.
