I pulled a when people clapped at that part and also throughout the entire movie.
when it hit 12:00am some chick stood up and said am i the only one who is excited that it is 12?
Me and my cousin are like bitch plz sit down.
Also Neville was a badass.
Dude, don't go to those things if you don't want to be part of the atmosphere. Killjoy.
I saw it earlier today, holy shit it was fantastic but before it started they played a mini-documentary thing about it which might as well have been part of the DVD special features, I mean they were talking about how they made the whole ending scene before the movie had even started.
I have just arrived home from seeing part 2.
All of you have pretty much summed it up on how amazing and spectacular it was.
But this one damn 8 year old kid in the cinema ruined the atmosphere for me, every time he saw Voldemort, he burst into tears.
The kids dumb mother kept taking the kid out for like 5 minutes, then brang him back in to which he only started crying again.
But other than that, when[sp]Neville was having his heroic times, everyone in the cinema clapped.[/sp]
Then there was those little funny moments which were secretly slipped into parts of the movie, everyone laughed.
It felt good to know everyone else in the cinema were feeling the same things as myself and were enjoying it as much as I was because we all grew up with Harry Potter.
God, why do parents bring babies and todlers into movie theatres, sure I can understand if it's for Cars 2 or something but goddamn.
Trying to enjoy the movie and theres 3 babies crying.
Part 2 airs Friday in America. Got tickets for my folks and me, can't wait!
I saw it, I (mostly) liked it. A few gripes:
- Why the fuck didn't Harry repair his wand? Major plothole...
- Pairing Neville and Luna is nothing but fanservice, way to totally split the canon.
- So many characters underutilised. I don't think Percy spoke at all and his return to their family was one of the more meaningful moments of the book.
- Why no Teddy Lupin? I couldn't wait to see him in the epilogue then they didn't even use him onscreen.
- Grawp not used at all. It would've been epic for him to pop up and kill that giant that was mauling all the soldiers.
- All the death/horcrux destruction scenes were very overdone. Bellatrix was described as kind of flying backwards, but now she completely shatters? Voldemort too, he was supposed to just fall over and die.
Apart from that, very nice and a great way to end the series.
Oh, and the [sp]Oliver Wood[/sp] cameo was a bit of a throwaway. I don't think people actually knew it was him unless they knew about it beforehand.

D: NO TEDDY! Well that sucks... do they at least mention him? Or is he completely cut from the film?
he was mentioned when he was born, and Remus mentioned that when he's older he'll understand that his parents died for a better future (When he was resurrected.) I think he might've appeared in the background at King's Cross, but other than that, nothing.
I was actually amazed at all the cameos they had.
There were just so many characters from past movies that didn't even have lines, they just appeared in the background for a few seconds. This movie must have been really special.

hmm... better than nothing I guess. I guess they have to cut some things out or the film would be twice as long! (tbh I probably wouldn't mind but oh well)
Seeing this tomorrow.

Well it happened in the book, just not that early...
What..? They were always and just friends.
I really liked the spell Kingsley cast at the DE.
Am I the only one who noticed/was annoyed in Trailer 1 how the used the exact same Voldemort scream at least four times? I just hear "MYYYEEEEEHHHHHHH" again and again. Ugh.
Regardless, I've seen every movie in the series the day it came out since I was a young-un, so I'm not breaking the trend here. For the first time since the Goblet of Fire, I'm actually excited for a Harry Potter movie!
I just wish I hadn't lost my first edition signed copy of the book, I wanted to read it before the movie comes out :C
[release]This entire movie is dark, gloomy and filled with shadows. So it should be. That makes it particularly inappropriate for the additional dimness of 3-D. There are a few shots that benefit from 3-D (I like the unfolding of the little magical globe) but none that require it. Avoid the surcharge and see the film in proper 2-D with brighter color.[/release]

It actually never happened, Luna went on to marry Rolf Scamander while Neville became the Herbology professor and married someone who's not important enough for me to remember their name.

Hannah Abbot, she was a member of the DA.
Also going to send a letter out to Alan Rickman to see if I can get an autograph
That was the best movie I've seen in a long time.
Maybe it was only because I grew up with the series.
Also Hermione is hot, but not Emma Watson.
woo tickets booked for Monday, can't wait... I remember seeing the philosopher's stone at the cinema when I was little! Now, 7 films later, the story is going to end. It seems pretty sad really, but still, films gonna be great! Watching it in 3D, will probably go to see it a second time in 2D in a weeks time as well
I skipped my 2 hour afternoon class to watch it.
I can't wait to see this. Probably gonna see it a few days after the premiere.

Make sure to not mention HP, because apparently he doesn't respond to any of it.
My movie theater won't let anyone line up until 6:00 which is lame. This theater is always so unorganized at midnight showings. I have a feeling that this 6:00 thing is going to confuse the employees at this theater somehow.
I would like to see this, but I haven't seen any movie or read any book since the Goblet of Fire (4). So I would have to catch up. The only reason I am even remotely interested in seeing the movie is because of IMAX 3D. :|
My friends got excited when I told them [sp]Molly Weasly would say "Die you bitch!"[/sp] in the movie
My friends got excited when I told them [sp]Molly Weasly would say "Die you bitch!"[/sp] in the movie
I still fail to understand what's so damn exciting and amazing about that single line.
Yes she said the "B-word" big whoop, but that's not really a reason to excessively glorify it. Yeah I read the books.
Just came back from the cinema. I didn't read the books and I very enjoyed it. I went to see it in 3D, but I agree, not really needed.
