I still fail to understand what's so damn exciting and amazing about that single line. Yes she said the "B-word" big whoop, but that's not really a reason to excessively glorify it. Yeah I read the books.
well, i guess since she is always portrayed as a loving mother you hardly see her rage like that, also in the manner of protecting/revenge for her children.
Just wondering, is the mirror shard explained in this film?

A lot of my older friends are really into it. I used to absolutely love it, but then my love faded away and will randomly come back. I don't think I'm as obsessed as other people I know, but I really do love the series. Sadly, I can't go to the premiere tonight. I actually have two friends who won tickets to see the red carpet premiere in New York City. They met Rupert Grint. It was chill.
Was alright I guess. I liked that they explained a lot but it ended up just being really long winded and average.
I liked the film bits were added that I enjoyed... There were bits I thought should of been added... But Mcgonagall kicks ass
that movie was fucking great! everything about it was great! and its bout time mcgonagall did something
holy fuck that movie was amazing Holy shit I'm shaking just thinking about it 10/10 7 stars Every Oscar win next year Also the gray lady was that Irish chick from Boardwalk Empire
this is more of a rating based off the book. 7/10 as a movie 8/10 the ending was what fell for me. Everything was good for the most part until then. It was nice and epic/emotional until [sp] harry dies... wait why am i spoilering this, everyone knows it. aw hell, better safe then sorry[/sp]. I wish they showed more of Hagrid at that point to add to the bond the two of them had. Also the changes with the snake just after werent needed and wasted time that couldve been put into [sp] when harry fixes his old wand, and other things from the book [/sp]. however i do have one more rating to give "the hug" 10/10 in hilarity. You know damn well which one im talking about.
there's an extent to which i can tolerate people getting roudy over a movie when i can't hear a lot of the lines because people won't stop clapping/cheering it's getting ridiculous i mean seriously can i just appreciate the acting and cinematography without nonstop shouting?
there were a few parts where people started to giggle because a scene became a little awkward, some guy yelled out "its not funny!" Sometimes people's reactions enhances a movie (usually comedies) and others ruin it (suspense/drama)
I fucking cheered inside when McGonagall started to kick Snape's ass. People clapped when the movie ended, I would've if I haden't felt that the movie made the entire series justice and made up for alot of mistakes in the earlier films. Gonna read the books now again, as soon as I finish the Necronomicon (H.P. Lovecrafts collected works, well worth a read, it's fucking MASSIVE). The statue soldiers were badass as fuck, loved their designs.
Pretty badass especially when Nevile killed the snake
loved the movie, but the 3D made it worse and I'm generally one to defend 3D but it was horrible in this. [editline]15th July 2011[/editline]
[release]This entire movie is dark, gloomy and filled with shadows. So it should be. That makes it particularly inappropriate for the additional dimness of 3-D. There are a few shots that benefit from 3-D (I like the unfolding of the little magical globe) but none that require it. Avoid the surcharge and see the film in proper 2-D with brighter color.[/release]
agree
Why couldn't all of the films have been this good? I'm very pleased with it, overall.
Am I correct in that the horrid Voldemort scream that was played over and over and over again throughout all the trailers wasn't in the movie? Good thing, too. I would've just laughed at the scene it happened in.
Just came back from my first and only harry potter premiere after waiting in line for... 11 hours. Shit's good. It was interesting to see so many people dressed up in their awesome robes. Also interesting was the fact that the girl sitting in front of me wasn't wearing a bra. Damn shame she was crazy, though.

And there was this guy who dressed up as Draco. He pulled it off SO well. I mean, fuck, two of my girl cousins, one's 19 and the other is 15, pretty much wanted his dick. Even I admit he looked pretty bamf.
Actually really liked this film, but I would've liked to see more on the "Snape / Lilly" Relationship.
I would have liked more of Hagrid being badass. Makes me sad to think of all the battle stuff they cut.

My anecdote on doing to the midnight showing. I'm not a real big Harry Potter fan, so I originally wasn't planning on seeing this movie, but a few days ago one of my friends said he had an extra ticket for the premier. Seeing as I had nothing else to do on a Thursday evening and this being the last week before I have to go back to work, I said sure. Now, I've never been to a midnight showing before, so this was a new experiance. I got there about 2 1/2 hours early. The place was packed with fanboys and fangirls all dressed in costumes and all that. When the film finally started (I almost went to see Super 8 again just to pass the time), cheers erupted from the theater. First there was cheering for the new Twilight Movie (Part 1). I booed openly. The next trailer was for War Horse, the new Steven Speilberg film. No cheering. The same happened for The Dark Knight Rises. They did cheer for Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (which is not a bad thing). Some cheering for Hugo, the new Scorscese film (which I never would've guessed if they hadn't said his name). Now the film was enjoyable. Some parts made me laugh("I've always wanted to cast that spell!"), others just felt either cheesy ("something somthing BITCH!" Sure, it was in the books -apparentally- but it felt like they were ripping off Aliens) or predictable ("..boy who lived has come to die" I guessed he'd say "shall now die," but it was close enough.) The only thing that I didn't enjoy was the audiencial cheering. There was enough of this happening where people are yelling "Whoo!" "Yeah!" "Neville's a badass!" to the point where they were overlapping dialogue in the film that I couldn't rightly here. Also, there was a massive amount of crying when [sp]Harry died[/sp]. You could hear people fucking bawling. Now probably every person who is crying has read the fucking books, so they know what's going to happen, and they cry!? I dunno, but I nearly laughed at that. Call me a heartless bastard, but there ya go. Let me be clear, I liked the movie. But I cannot say that I loved crowd I was with.
It's a shame how depressing Harry Potter actually is. In the first lot of books/films it's the dream place where you would want to be, where a child would dream of wanting to live. Then the later ones tear up that "dream" and shows how messed up it gets. [sp]Atleast the ending brings that "dream" back.[/sp]
I loved the movie. My favorite two scenes were easily Snape's memories being played to Harry, especially the part with Dumbledore. I thought the acting there was phenomenal, and it put a tear in my eye. Same with the scene where Harry sees/talks to his passed relatives. I really enjoyed the end to an iconic saga.
im going tonight for a late night 3D showing.......should be good hopefully no kids otherwise im gonna have to go all NYEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH on they're ass!
I wish JK didn't end it with that prologue of them being older. I would have much rather liked to see the trio just like walking off into the sunset and leaving it up to your imagination to play out the rest of their adventures.
I just came back from watching it. Such a fucking amazing film. I'm going to miss the series :(
Watched it yesterday, wasn't really satisfied, overally it was a little "bland", expecially when you've read the book.
