Have a Momo wheel, can confirm Dirt Rally is a shitton of fun when you try your best with it. Fferm Wynt in Wales is my favorite so far.
I just bought DiRT Rally, it's Early Access and on "sale" currently too. I played it for a little bit with a controller. I really loved DiRT 2/3 and figured this would be similar, holy damn is it not.. The controls are super unforgiving and realistic, I smash into pretty much everything and finish like a minute below the leader. If you have a wheel I think it would be tons of fun, all of the "sim" games seem to have pretty terrible car selection and unless you want to race GT3/F1 cars or a novelty reliant robin or other shitbox you're basically screwed. That's pretty much the reason I've never even contemplated buying a wheel or any PC racing games.
i got dirt rally and play it with a g27 it's great tbh
For you guys in Southern CA, here's a nice 4 door Valiant, and it's $400. Has A/C, power steering, 318 etc. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=314980
Put new brake disks and calipers on my mom's Subaru Tribeca today. Previous owner probably only replaced one set of pads because the others were absolutely fucked. Way easier than I was expecting for the one Subaru that is a bitch to work on. I also picked up the SPG kit and Spoiler for the Slaab recently, and it's going on after I get it painted.

Asking the British car guys here: The Supra I'm currently working on getting on the road was imported from Japan through England. It's been driving around over there for a couple of years before it came to Denmark. I got the paperwork from the Supra yesterday, but there's a bunch of different papers and I'm so confused. Could one of you kindly show me what a registration certificate from the UK looks like? Google shows me a billion different results.
I'm pretty sure what you're looking for is a log book and/or MOT record, they're the only things you really get when your car is on the road [editline]21st June 2015[/editline] Logbooks are just a single coloured paper document and MOT certs are also just single sheets but black and white. You can view a cars MOT record online for free anyway [editline]21st June 2015[/editline] I don't know what additional documents, if any you get for an imported car [editline]21st June 2015[/editline] You should have a couple of tax discs also [editline]21st June 2015[/editline] All a log book really does though is a sign of ownership

http://www.driftworks.com/forum/drifting-chat/180608-importing-car-japan-any-tips.html Japanese imports are somewhat common in the UK, you should be able to dig up someone who's posted some pictures of what they have. You could also contact an Importer in the UK and ask them what they provide and what you need which they should be able to describe in detail all of it and most likely have a few laying around even.
So people in america put Holden badges on their Chevies/Pontiacs like bogans put Chevy logos on their Holden?
Same with JDM looking cars in the States while in Japan they want their cars to look USDM.
GRID 2 was okay. I'm waiting for Dirt Rally to pop up on this sale. [editline]11th June 2015[/editline] It's 25% off now, but I'm going to hold out.
Last day of the sale. Dirt never dropped in price, but PCars is 40% off, so I grabbed that this morning.
So people in america put Holden badges on their Chevies/Pontiacs like bogans put Chevy logos on their Holden?
I've legit thought about buying a G8 or a GTO just for that
So people in america put Holden badges on their Chevies/Pontiacs like bogans put Chevy logos on their Holden?
Yeah. It's different. It'd be neat if they sold holden over here but nope, we get watered down basterized versions. You don't know what i'd be willing to do to get a commodore ute. hnnng.
Yeah. It's different. It'd be neat if they sold holden over here but nope, we get watered down basterized versions. You don't know what i'd be willing to do to get a commodore ute. hnnng.
It should theoretically be possible to get a Ute since AFAIK, forward of the bed the Ute is completely identical to the standard Commodore sedan, ergo a Pontiac G8 with different body panels and some emissions changes. The rear probably uses different suspension but you could probably get away with the standard suspension or cannibalize a compact pickup's suspension. It would just be outrageously expensive to import the body panels and install them on a G8. Conversion kits for the sedan range from $2500 to $5000. :v:
There's a shop in like Las Vegas that does conversions actually iirc
So, the other day while driving through a neighboring county for work I saw a police car had pulled someone over on the shoulder of the road, but something seemed odd to me. It had Pontiac badging (it was a G8), simply had 'Police' written on the side in blue, which is very unusual for our area, and had an actual light bar, as opposed to the more common LED lights which most of our area now has pretty standard on all vehicles. I didn't even know police departments issued G8s as marked cars in the states, and it was super sketchy to me being 90% of cop cars are marked with the county/municipality name on their doors or are unmarked only; very rare we ever see them just marked as 'Police'.

You can call the police department and ask if you or someone is being pulled over, if it seems suspicious.
I have a feeling it was. I've never seen a Pontiac brand cop car in the area and marked cars pretty much always have the county/municipality.
So people in america put Holden badges on their Chevies/Pontiacs like bogans put Chevy logos on their Holden?
I've never actually seen it, anyone here would snob at that you imply the GTO is anything other than the modern reincarnation of the old GTO.
I've never actually seen it, anyone here would snob at that you imply the GTO is anything other than the modern reincarnation of the old GTO.
pretty much everyone either knows it's just a rebadged aussie car or doesn't know enough about cars to realize that the GTO name is supposed to be prestigious.

I showed another A-body for $400, they exist, but that Satellite is a prime road runner or similar clone base. I would offer $3k and it would be a good deal. I'm not sure if $5k is a good deal but probably is. If you were to take any of those $400 dusters, put the numbers matching $340 in it, restore it completely, down to every weld, you'd be lucky to get $15,000 for it. But a Roadrunner clone, or nice Satellite, maybe $25k.
Yeah the 73 340 cars arent worth too much. The 72 done up right is about 15k keeping the slant, 20k with a nice big block. If you want, after im done doing the red 73 up (swapping parts, shoving in a 318) I can cut you a good price if you'd be able to get it.
Found the wheels I've been searching high and low for on half decent pricing. Cragar soft 8's Guy told me they were 5 on 4.5, but for how much he was asking it was too good of a deal. I now need to find adapters. :/ Hey on the bright side now my wheels wont be recessed in about 3 inches.
