I got a second job delivering Chinese food to support my car and bike habit. It pays minimum wage and tips. It depends on the night, but I usually walk away with about 60 bucks a night in tips and delivery fees, and my paycheck for my time hasn't come in yet. Overall it is some of the easiest work I have ever done, doing something that I enjoy doing (driving) and getting paid a decent amount for it. I literally walked in with a friend of mine, asked for applications, and the next day the owner called us back and we started immediately. If the local Chinese place is desperate for drivers, they will pretty much hire you on the spot.
Here in nc we get snow once a year, and a lot of the time the dmv waits till the absolute last second. Matter of fact, they've cut it so close last year, the salt trucks got stuck at the depot :v:
Dude, you guys in NC can't do shit in the snow. I remember years ago driving back from Myrtle Beach in my mom's old FWD Town and Country and everyone was absolutely lambasted by the fact that the car was going forward and not sliding everywhere when there were so many pickups in the ditches. Not that Virginians are much better, but it's absolutely mind boggling on how you get jacked up pickups stuck on flat ground. :v: [editline]25th June 2015[/editline]
I got a second job delivering Chinese food to support my car and bike habit. My route I share with my friend pays about $1,600 biweekly for two routes and you only get out of the car for one house, unless you have a really good left arm (which I don't).
Surprised my automerge worked above. I never had a paper route, but I had a friend who did - in highschool; I remember we always thought he was a rich mother***** because he got paid like $200 a month.
Yeah, it pays really well and it's really not a terribly difficult job at all. The hardest part for our route is remembering the street names and who's on vacation and who came back since it's a rich snobby neighborhood where they randomly go away for three weeks in October because: we can.
Thank you so much everyone, I've already found a few potential places to work at.
Woo big money
I'll show my ignorance, what's imgur?...
www.imgur.com just a relatively useful imagehost, probably the biggest 'goto' image host for people in this day and age in reality it doesn't actually matter where you host your image as long as it's easily accessible and viewable, imgur is just convenient and mainstream, kinda like when photoshack was /the thing to use/
I'll show my ignorance, what's imgur?...
Like Photobucket, but without any limits period and superior in every way
And then you got puush, which is even better.
I used to use Puush a lot but they don't host their images long enough. I use ShareX, it's like puush but it uploads to imgur.
I have two year old pictures on my puush account. From when I first registered on puush
These fuckin microswitches are the #1 cause of VW lock failures. They are shit to replace, i feel like i shoud just spray in brake cleaner like this lol
So, I know NOTHING about cars or how they work, I don't even know how an oil change works, or how an engine works, or what people mean when they say their 5 litre engine is better than a 3.1 litre engine. The fuck does that mean? Anyways, where can someone who doesn't know jack shit about cars (not even basic things like good brands of cars, etc) Where can I learn how these things work, anyone recommend a good youtube series or something?
AND SOME ONE HERE SAYED THE 700R4 WAS A JUNKY NO SHIFTING SLOW TRANSMISSION Come ride in my truck with a built 700 + corvette servo. Let me make you take those words out of your mouth. [editline]25th June 2015[/editline] YOUUUU
I have a stock 700R4 in my '84 K20 Detroit, I wouldn't consider the trans slow/full of slush. Sometimes 4th shifts out when I don't want it to (I really don't need to shift down to 3rd at 60mph on a mild hill) but it is likely a linkage adjustment issue. The corvette servo might be a nice upgrade, had no idea that they are that easy to do and that cheap. Overall, the 700R4 is perfect for my truck. I average 20mpg (as low as 18.6, as high as 21.5) so theres not much mpg to gain, and a manual would be a pain off road.

It was built using monster sunshells and that good stuff, all is new and heavy duty application. Inside a 4x4 case with a 2wd output shaft and tail dilly. Last time I checked my MPG I was getting 16. But 90% of my driving is highway at 75-90mph.... All I have to say to that is this thing has aero like a brick. And make sure that CV cable is adjusted right. If not you can fry your forward clutch packs really really quick. (What happened to me when I rebuilt it the first time around without overkill parts)
