There might be a trend happening.

So, after a 9 month coma, Jules Bianchi has passed away. RIP, what would have probably been a legend.

I thought it fit here since he was an F1 driver and all
So I did a coolant flush this morning and my coolant reservoir was making this odd hissing sound.
[t]http://i.cubeupload.com/OjMpC0.jpg[/t]
Oh. That's why.
Kinda-related... I was filling up an aeration tank at work yesterday when it was about 3/4 I heard this weird hissing noise. Half a second after it dawned on me what it was, the o-ring burst and started spraying fully-pressurized water everywhere after a four-hour install. The tank was hard-plumbed into the plumbing, so I had to cut it off, recut the tank out, relube the o-ring, and reseat the head of the tank back into the threaded adapter of the tank. All this because it wasn't torqued about 1 ft-# more than it was.
And suddenly, I realize how infuriating it must be to work on something seemingly small and unimportant on a car, miss a single bolt, and wonder why everything is so borked all of a sudden.
miss a bolt? Round a bolt.
You only round a bolt once. Never again.
Wait. You're not supposed to have extra parts left over after the job? And they're supposed to be useable? Shit...
Whenever I rebuild laptops I always have screws left over. Pfft. Those are just extra.
miss a bolt? Round a bolt.

PO somehow egged all the bolts but didnt round them
I don't even know what kind of tard strength that requires.
Like
literally some of the bolts are oval shaped
Went to the airshow in Hillsboro,Or today and saw the Blue angels. Bad ass but I'm sooo sun burnt. There was some mustang club there too but I was more interested in the vintage Jets parked on the other side of the runway.
Whenever I rebuild laptops I always have screws left over. Pfft. Those are just extra.
whenever I rebuild laptops I put the wrong sized screws in the wrong places and the end result is a fucked plastic cover
Just kidding, I was taught to pay reeeeal close attention to every screw you take out, even if it's 1mm different

Not mine. Plus, what would have been the point of boring it .050 over and not stroking it?

I went up and saw that a while back when the blue angels were there. Pretty badass. You've been to the Evergreen Aviation Museum right?

About 2.75" depth for the sub when it's all said and done. I routered the edges, wrapped it and resin'd it before I hung up the job for the night so far. Going to choose an 8" to put in it.. unsure of which sub yet.
Last weekend featured prepping and painting a bumper for a friend's Monte.

I keep getting the same mad pussy on the hood of my truck every day I deliver to the same place during work.

The gas pedal on my 97 Civic is really not smooth, to the point that it almost feels like I can either slowly accelerate the car or pretty much floor it. I sprayed some lube on the throttle cable but I don't think it made a difference at all. Is there anything else I can do or is the car just old?
If it's a bit of a 'pop' you feel, pull the intake hose off and open the butterfly looking for lots of black carbon buildup on the back of it. If that's the case, pull the throttlebody and clean it.
Championship White, Flamenco Black Pearl, Milano Red or Phoenix Yellow. If you really want to expand to the newer colors Super Platinum Metallic Silver, Vivid Blue Pearl or Premium Deep Violet Pearl work too. Those are your only choices of Type-R colors that will be acceptable :v:
Really though, Honda has tons of really awesome colors. I'll refrain from posting Sunburst Orange Pearl which I'm a huge fan of for the fourth time in this thread.
Well, it already is Sunburst orange actually, or at least close to it.

I just went to the Evergreen Museum for the first time since they opened the Spruce Goose exhibit, they have so much more crazy stuff and they have 4 buildings with a theater and the "biggest" waterpark in Oregon. Definitely go check it out, so much cool stuff.

You need to adjust the throttle cable, it's usually on the list of things you do when you do a "tune up". The throttle cable stretches out over time.

No no, that's not the Honda Sunburst Orange Pearl. It's actually not very orange unless you're in the sunlight. The later picture better depicts the most Orange it really gets, it's a really cool color.

Got my drivers license and started to look for a relatively cheap but reliable and fun car to purchase.
Really digging the MX5 NB's, the dark green ones in particular. Very excited to get one  .

It seems it's really a hate it or love it kind of car. Heard very different opinions.

That is pretty, now I am deciding that or that Championship white with those bronze rims, honestly I don't thing that orange would look good with those rims but then again, I am not too sure!

A friend of a friend of mine has an NA and over the 16 years he's had the car, he's only had to replace 3 minor things. Miatas are indestructible little things. And loads of fun to drive.

Might be it got wet inside the lining at some point, started to rust and now it's frayed somewhere along the way. At least I've seen that happen to a clutch cable on a VW Lupo.

Found this image trying to look for bronze wheels on a champ white car.. Honda sold his car in a similar color(Vivid Blue Pearl), here it is with STI wheels :v:

I don't think I'd necessarily paint a car to match wheels lol. I think I like Milano Red more with bronze wheels, it would definitely need to be a muted darker bronze. If you do Championship White, unless the wheels are basically the TE37's in that like signature bronze color I'd probably say meh.

Exactly what I heard. It's basicly a light weight no nonsense car so there's not much to break. And the parts it uses are shared with other more common Mazda's of that time so no exotic part prices either.
The only downside really is the storage space or better said the lack of. But I can always use my parents cars if I need to move anything big.

Without a roof, the Miata's storage space is only limited by your imagination (and bungee cords).

So my Buick LaSabre has been overheating due to what I'm pretty sure is a coolant leak. The last 3 times this happened, I've also lost power steering and brakes.

...what
...what
I think it's a problem with the alternator, I lose power to everything. But it's been coinciding with the overheating
You realize it's a different kind of power, right? I'm willing to bet your power brakes and steering aren't electric.
