They look better than 1st gens lmao, 2nd is my favorite but 3rd is still a fine car.
And foxbodies are super gay, they look like imports. I'd drive a Pintostang before a fox.
foxbodies are as slow as an import too, they're really only any good as a platform to build on. completely useless in stock form

I don't think you realize how shit the mustang 2 was.

can it be a decent upgrade platform like the fox?
Nope, there is almost no aftermarket parts for the mustang 2. Engine parts are fairly easy to find because the 302 was used in other mustangs but that's about it.
I do realize how shit the mustang 2 was, but I really dislike foxbodies.
the thing about mustangs is that they're all unibody, not body on frame. unibody is nice but for the most part it basically means that you have to have the right parts for that car, and making things from other cars work is possible but a huge pain in the ass and pretty useless
so engines are fine, rear axles are fine, transmissions are fine, but front end, interior, and body has basically zero aftermarket

so only good for cheap parts
plus mustang 2s are handling nightmares, they have awful brakes and in corners start out by understeering and then all of a sudden they spin out and put you into a tree. they've also got the same fuel tank style as a pinto, and we all know what happens when a pinto gets rear ended

if you can find one for like 1000 or less that runs and actually has a 302 in it instead of a lima or a cologne you have a good base for a working driveline, but with all the emissions equipment the 302 only makes around 120 horsepower anyway. You're better off gutting a foxbody or something
Peugeot's Airbag light came on today, the computer says the passenger is deactivated. Think it might be the driver side too, it's beeping and giving me several messages. This thing is just one big money pit. Right now it's got a random misfire, a weird sound during turning, rusted out muffler, dead battery and this airbag bull.
You know that feeling when you get a phone call from a supervisor and they say "where are you" in a very serious tone.
Yea got one of those working yesterday. From my coworker. He got our F350 Diesel (our largest truck/squad) buried in sand up to the axle. So I drive my ass 35 minutes across the county to help him.
Had to call the local farmer up the road and use his tractor to get this thing out.
my favorite donors are actually just old (chevy) pickups. you can pick one up with a working V8 and 3 speed or 4 speed auto for under $1000 any day of the week. a Chevy C/K is a brilliant donor for a 454 big block and a good strong tranny and axle
for ford I'd probably go with a foxbody donor. I don't work with fords enough to think outside the box with them.
1967 bestest of all mustangs. Can't beat the classics

Besides the 65 fastback, that gets me feeling some kind of way

thats where i got my turbo 350 trans
And another thing, mustang 2 front suspensions assemblies are awesome. Can make your old ass car handle like a brand new one. They fit like a champ

Muh automerge
my favorite mustang is the ASC McLaren Coupe (which is actually a second gen mercury capri but it's the same as an early foxbody)

the convertible is a brilliant looking thing too
What's so cool about foxbodys? They look like every other little econo shitbox from the 80s.
BRO you don't even KNOW.

Look at those meaty ass tires.

But in all seriousness that is kind of the charm of these cars. Boring super 80's style body with a big ass v8 lurkin inside.
I want a dodge rampage :(

Ordered up my control arm bumpers.
The real question is if I'm going to have to remove the upper control arm to replace these bitches since the nut is between the control arm and struct
Bought a new radiator and starter today. I went looking for the petcock on my radiator to drain it but i could not locate it. I think ill just drain it from the rad hose. Also this starter is a bitch to remove
Lets play- what the fuck is this grease/fluid that is on my lower control arm/shock/CV boot/ and upper control arm. Its a green-ish grease of some sorts, but it also has some grit in it.

Seems like a lot of people(on fp) like them too, which blows my mind
TIL different people like different things

I don't care much for Foxbody Mustangs (eughh those headlights), though I do like the badge engineered Mercury Capri.
The foxbodies are popular because they're cheap, relatively common (for such an old car, at least), and have a lot of potential for modifications.

That was my original thought to. I seriously cant find where the fuck this came from and that has me concerned

!!! Curious as to how he knows it runs if it doesn't have keys though. I'd think it was stolen if he didn't have the plate in a picture.
