Can I borrow $7500 from someone to get a Coyote and 6R80?

Probably hot wired it, those things are easy to wire.
He won't tell me the VIN :v:
Lets play- what the fuck is this grease/fluid that is on my lower control arm/shock/CV boot/ and upper control arm. Its a green-ish grease of some sorts, but it also has some grit in it.

why are you getting a new radiator? Did I miss something?
It's CV joint grease. Look for a small hole in the boot and you'll see.
I have a hole in my inner CV boot as well and it's done the same thing, thankfully I have a lifetime warranty on my CV axles for shit such as this.

Well if its the boot thats fucked I can replace that (after watching Youtube Vids)... I'll have to get under there tomorrow and get a good look when I create a gameplan for the control arm bumpers.
He won't tell me the VIN :v:
no keys, no title, secretive about the vin
honestly nobody sells stolen cars, they part them out or if it's an expensive car they ship them to a country that doesn't care that there's no vin plates.

after watching more youtube videos... it will probably be easier to replace the CV axle than the boot. -- as long as I Dont have to separate the balljoints
Bolt off, bolt on
Took the MR2 out for a spin today, and I can say I'm finally getting much better at driving stick!
Took a few pictures too.

I really really really can't wait to get it and the spoiler painted
OH and I desperately need to get rid of the exhaust the PO put on it because it sounds terrible. So I think i'm going to order this next week:
What's so cool about foxbodys? They look like every other little econo shitbox from the 80s.
Because it's like an econo shitbox with a v8? The things are so cheap to slap engine mods on that they end up being like a 450hp geo metro. You can get some ridiculous power to weight ratios in them for cheap.
I honestly really like the Mustang II, call me crazy all you want. I'd love to have one to pair with the Pinto.
So I drained my radiator tonight, the only coolant in there was 2 gallons I just bought the other day. Even though it's kinda dirty coolant, should I reuse it since it's still new? Or should I buy more coolant

I'm still confused on why you bought a new radiator... and when you say its dirty, what kind of dirty? Different color dirty?
I'm still confused on why you bought a new radiator... and when you say its dirty, what kind of dirty? Different color dirty?
There were 2 pretty bad leaks in the radiator so I figured a new one would fix that issue and my engine might thank me. It's just that this radiator is probably from 1998 and it was bone dry and flaky. I'm sure there's particles floating around in the 2 gallons I recovered, is it safe to re-use this?
I'm going to tell you probably some serious bad advice so you may not want to listen to me.
I'd reuse the coolant if you have a fine screen (like a grease cover for cooking). Screen the coolant twice and then re add it.
Me: Hey is the bumper still available?
Seller: id sell it for the right price
Me: well you posted it for $550 so is that the right price?
why don't people just say "I want x for this part" instead of wasting your time

id do this too, and if it means anything ive seen some real dirty coolant go back in cars at my old job.
Brother got his eclipse fixed after it wouldn't idle and kept throwing a random misfire code. Turned out to be the crank position sensor. He got his car back last week and this morning after a stupid long fucked up week at work, he was getting food on his way home and the passenger side front ball joint busted in the McDonalds parking lot. No warning, he was just idling along and it popped. Good thing Friday is payday.
Turns out there was a recall on the part that broke, but mcdonalds(who said they wouldn't tow it) towed it so my brother has to get it out of the impound. Mitsu dealer will grab it from the impound and fix it for free though, assuming the tow truck didn't trash it.

Gas cap and what's left of the "gasket":
So this gasket got so bad that when I'd take turns, launch hard, or brake quickly, gas would come out of the tank and all over my legs and crotch. Not fun. Reeking of gas at work is unprofessional.
I have a new IMS gas cap/gasket on the way but it won't be here til Saturday... Cycle gear doesn't sell this particular IMS cap or gasket, so I cruised to home depot in search of something that would get me by til Saturday. After 30 minutes, I found a bathtub drain gasket - 2 7/8" of rubber surround. Trimmed that down to the 2 5/16" gasket diameter in the cap of the desert tank and BAM I have a working ghettogasket! Should tide me over til Saturday and hopefully won't degrade in that time from the gas. Hasn't leaked once. $2 fixes are always fun.

Ironically, while testing out this fix, the old cracked carburetor boot on the (output?) head side decided it was time to slip off. Always fun having your bike stall and have to try to shimmy dead cracked dry ass boots back into place with a tiny screwdriver on the side of road. So glad I'm installing all new parts this weekend.
So I am at work today, blah blah whatever regular day at valet. Couple of fun cars like an e36 328i vert with a 5 speed, A7s and the like. It gets to be around night time and someone pulls up for dinner in a red 2015 mustang convertible.

I figure eh whatever its probably a V6 but I walk over to open the door and its a V8. I say to the owner "First time I have seen the 5.0 around here." and he goes "Hah! It's a rental, I got it from the airport. It's real fun, you should take it for a spin!" and I kinda laugh and he goes "No no, I'm serious. Go take it for a spin, I really don't care."
So of course me being a young valet, this dude being serious, and all my bosses being gone, I wait about 5 minutes for it to settle down and make sure the roads are clear. I walk on over to this thing, climb in the driver seat, push the start button under those aircraft style gauges, and listen to the 302 cubic inches of thunder roar to life in front of me. I grab the (automatic, sorry...) shifter, slot it down into "D", place my clammy hands on the wheel, turn out of the parking spot, and try to prepare myself for what will happen.
As I pressed that pedal down as far as it went, the car accelerated hard for a fraction of a second before the transmission goes "You sure? Alright..." and dropped it down into first gear...
Now, my previous fastest sense of speed is probably my 2008 CR-V, which makes 166hp. If you don't drive anything fast, that is enough to give you a slight push into the seat but really not much else.
The very fabric of space must have collapsed around me as the leather seats enveloped my body, and that tach rose up and up....first....second....third....oookay time to slow down. I pulled back on the reins (or pressed the brake pedal, whichever you prefer) and slowed down to normal speed. I don't want to spit exact numbers, but I was going a multiple of the speed limit.
I went back around, pulled it back into the parking spot, and managed to keep myself calm for about 30 minutes before I decided I needed another go. I did the same procedure, climbed into the seat, started it, but this time I put it into "S" so I could control the gear changes. I don't think I was yet ready for this because when I floored it this time, the acceleration was so hard the car put itself in third before I remembered I was supposed to click the paddles. I went a bit further and took it a bit higher before I put it back this time, downshifting and letting that V8 roar while I slowed down and parked it again.
I never really understood the feeling of speed, but now I think I finally get it. Today was a good day.

Last year my dad took off the grillguard on his F-150 and was going to throw it away, so he tells me if I take it down to the scrapyard along with an old transmission, I can have whatever they give me for it. So I figured, shit its only a little rusty, Ill throw it up on craigslist for $30 or so. Someone gets a cheap grillguard and I get more than the scrapyard would give me. Two hours later someone emails me asking if Ill take less. I respectfully was like "nah man its 30 bucks, any less and I might as well keep it" and he was cool with it, so I told him to meet me at x and y corner (first time selling on CL, didnt wanna give out my address). The corner was 2 houses down from me. He showed up about 5 mins early so I was like "shit whatever Ill just throw it over my shoulder and walk out there." Turns out it was some high schooler who just got his first car, an F-150 of similar year. He brought his dad along. They were pretty nice people. I crawled under his truck and showed him where it bolted on, where he might have to cut a little out of the bumper, ect, turns out I missed the 2 nuts to put it on, so I just walked back and grabbed them off my dads truck.
Was a very pleasant experience, got 30 bucks and warm fuzzy feelings.
I'm going to get weird looks for asking for either a 1-year car lease or a 1-year car rental. I've been perusing craigslist and ebay for used cars to buy for a year and reselling it.
Foxbody Mustangs are awful nice. I remember my cousin having one.

Oh, you don't truly understand YET. Imagine driving that 35 miles to work every day on open country highways with no cops. It's a completely different driving experience than anything else, especially when it's a standard.
My 2006 with the 4.6L makes about the same HP as the newer ones, with less weight. Also, that car most likely had a 3.15 rear end in it. Trust me on this, they are even more ridiculous with a 3.73 rear end. 1st only takes less than a second, and second gear doesn't last much longer. If you wound out 3rd, you were doing anywhere from 80 to 110 mph.

dirty coolant just isn't a big deal. it's not like it's lubricating anything, all it has to do is not boil

I'm jealous
That's the same engine as ours but ours has 3.73's and wider wheels + less weight. I can tell you from experience that the 5.0 with your foot down will put you into the back of your seat pretty damn hard. Adrenalin is the only drug I need, and it's easy to come by.
Really want a Jap car, please can someone name me some ideas? probably gonna end up modding it entirely

S13/240 are pretty good for that.
Civic is over done. But still an option, as long as it's done right.
Rx-7 if you can find a good one
A supra (80's one)
Never got one myself, but I Heard a few good things about 90's Honda Crx Si's
Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX's
An older Mr2
Mitsubishi 3000GT
Celica's
Toyota Corolla's
I dunno much else, that's off the top of my head that are cost efficient. I can't think of much else at the moment, sure slayer has the perfect option for you, lol.
Not a huge aftermarket for 80s supras, but they're cool as fuck.

Don't 3000GTs end up blowing headgaskets or something every five feet? I remember Bradley talking about their engines being lemons that require pretty frequent work.
I recommend the Toyota Mega Cruiser.
