Were they originally charged by you, or the store?
A lot of stores 'slam charge', fast charge, etc. Just to get them out the door and it generally kills the life of them.
Im not sure if its that other batteries handle a slam charge better, or if other brands/stores dont slam charge, but im sure that if your Duralast batteries were in fact charged by the store that you would get a hundred times better results by getting the brand new battery and charging it yourself at 2A overnight.
The way I was taught about batters is that you should think of them as having a 'memory' when charging them. If the battery died over a few weeks, give it a real slow charge, if the battery went stone dead over one night you should give it the speedy chooch charge.

it's usually winter that kills batteries for me
Saw some guy in 05 silver bmw 3 series just going mad.
Was driving in estate, slowing down before each speedbump, this guy behind me goes berserk, overtakes, speeds up to near 80-90 kmh.
Then there is series of speedbumps, he weaves literally left/right side of speedbump at high speed and I saw car ear just lift off and then skid on landing.
Either he's good driver to avoid crash with such shit driving or the car is very good at handling such things.
I got another one :joy:

She has working factory air conditioning, power steering, and Mustang II front end with rack and pinion steering. Rides like a dream.
That's pretty. I'm not really a Mustang guy but I can appreciate a good looking car. Original paint or no?

No. Ironically, both of my mustangs came from the factory dark green metallic.
I have a thing for original paint, I wouldn't scrape original paint if it was mauve. :v: Anyway, good score!

numbers match?
numbers match?
No. It's hard to find a numbers matching car where I live. Mustangs especially.
And just to add, my aim wasn't to get a numbers matching car, as they cost 3x as much as I paid for this one. I wanted a comfortable 1st gen to drive every day and this fits the bill. There's been thoughts of installing a new 5.0 coyote for gas mileage and reliability (the 289 in the car atm was built in 1968 and has been used ever since, so it's well worn) but that will probably happen a long time from now.
Since the 289 has seen better days and could quit any day now, it will most likely be replaced by a 306 that I built for my other mustang. The 306 has no miles on it with brand new internals.
Okay, so while I was looking under the hood on my '07 328xi bmw, I noticed that there was like a hose that was cut in half or something, what is it? And what can I do to fix it, I am really bad with cars and I can't even change my oil, so sorry if I don't understand.
Anyways
numbers match?
Numbers matching car wouldnt mean anything with a mustang 2 Front suspension cradle. The idea is to have it down to the t original. And hes right, they charge three times as much for it.
Any of you guys going to Bimmerfest at raceway park nj in a few weeks? Somebody just told me about it, not something I usually go to but I was thinking about drag racing the daily for shits and giggles since anybody can sign up.

If I am looking at the right hose, it looks like the fill port for you windshield cleaner fluid. Just buy a new OEM hose I guess. (idk bmw)

that's just the washer fluid filler. if you don't really use it it's not a big deal to just ignore it. obviously if you can get it fixed then get it fixed but it's not the end of the world if you don't

Ni-Cad batteries are the ones with a 'memory' affect.
Most others don't have it, including the standard automotive lead acid battery.
Lead acid batteries strongly prefer a trickle charge when going from dead.
Guys, guys, guys.

Ni-MH batteries have it too, but they don't atrophy or lose their anodes like the Ni-CD ones do.
Really, any rechargeable battery does, some chemistries are just better at preserving their sacrificial anodes and cell chemistry when partially charged/discharged than others
I've been punked.
I called the dealership yesterday and was quoted $75 for a keyfob battery.
I walked in this morning and the guy at the parts desk got me a battery and replaced it. He said "that'll be $50." I walk over to the cashier desk and he said "I was kidding, batteries are free."
That sure as hell brightened my day.
Just got back from clearing out my old man's apartment. Filled the trailer and the saab up to the brim, probably went over the weight limit quite a bit. It was a very different experience driving with a full and heavy trailer though. Tired as fuck, mad because my lookout failed and made me back into the trailer...

I just bought one at a local watch shop, just a regular coin battery.

Man oh man... Theres nothing special about the battery in a fob. Definitely not $75/$50 of a battery hahaha
wash your car dude
I did but me parking under a tree and then sprinklers happening didn't exactly help the situation.

I was worried that something on the circuit board broke, but it really was just the battery. I got quoted an hour labor and a $250 repair/code fee. The guys at the service desk must have just been fucking with me.
Got some "free" parts, picked up an OBD1 ECU and dizzy from a buddy. Easily the most expensive parts of doing an MPFI swap to get away from the dual point TBI(DPFI) stuff that just sort of works. Supposedly I'll pick up 10hp and 3-5mpg highway but lose some city mpgs not to mention have the ability to swap or turbo it. Got a set of NGK wires from the same buddy for helping him out with his clutch master cylinder. Now I have another P06-A02 to join my other P06-A02 :v:

Now just to get a jumper harness, all the needed replacement gaskets and "rebuild" an intake manifold. Then I can add all the wires at try to attempt to wire in two more wires to the dizzy, 4 for the 4-wire o2 and a couple to replace the stupidly bridged injectors. Pretty big project though and unlike most people I refuse to make a hackjob of it. I'll have to carefully plan out my use of shielded wires and wire routing. I really should address some of my cracked and fraying wiring located under the dizzy too. Maybe I should just bite the bullet and buy a refurbished harness.
Refurbished a headlight switch/signal stalk from 3 spares I got from the junkyard, hopefully this solves my random headlight/dash light strobe effect.

Oh, Serj I saw something interesting on facebook the other day. Better than a V8 swap? [del]If it's actually a 2.4L build with 30psi it should make 700whp at the very least lol.[/del]

im retarded it says 700whp on the paper
I like it. However I do not like the wheels. They look cheap.
I'd have preferred some 16" wheels with decent tires really. That's all I have a problem with.
Also, gotta ask opinions again.

On the right i have added a column. It is the "idiots guide to not F**** yourself or others up with my product"
When something is purchased it will come with a rather strict warning label and documentation, but I feel like this is sufficient information for a general order yeah? Pretend you're an idiot, would you need something else printed there to deter you from using my racks for that?
