It's not. An external amplifier (like for a subwoofer) or an electric antenna (that extends automatically) needs a signal to know to turn on. THAT's what that wire is for. There should be a 3.5mm jack on the back of your head unit, that's for the steering wheel remote, but you'll need an adapter.
Gonna buy that '68 new yorker.Missed out on the Wildcat with the 425 and the Fairlane station wagon with the 429 is a bit pricey.
Got the stereo installed. Works nice but the bluetooth doesn't work and it pisses me off. Like half the options are greyed out. Gonna call Pioneer on Monday and see if I can get it fixed. I fucking hope to god I don't have to wire in that parking brake thing
This is my buddy's '67 New Yorker sitting in my back yard right now. It's fucking massive, and it has the 7.2 in it as well. The best word to describe the car is smooth. [editline]2nd May 2015[/editline] [t]http://i.imgur.com/RdlAbv0.jpg[/t] That's me in the trunk, I'm only 5'3" but even lying down like that there's still 3-6 inches of width.
Dead hooker storage, unless you get some really god damn tall hookers I guess. Should be ample room for 3 comfortably.
Bought the New Yorker. Step .5 sell pontiac or strip the parts and scrap the shell Step 1 get New Yorker on road it needs breaks and a new fuel line already talked to my mechanic Step 3 take car of the Surface Rust Step 4 Carpet Step 5 look into a 6 pack for it Step 6 look into a supercharger ontop of that
[t]http://soleedus.me/i/4000s.jpg[/t] Bought this 1986 Audi 4000S with 59k miles/94k km on it after pestering slayer for a few months on finding a decent car.
I don't know anything about Audi's pre95ish but it looks pretty clean
Step 6 needs to come first. I'm a little obsessed with blowers right now as I've been looking through pictures of the cars from mad max fury road. Holy fuuuuuUuuuuuch DAT gigahorse.

If my pontiac was still in the way I could do it at work but im not even going to ask with it still sitting there.
Hey what do y'all think about this as a replacement for my truck's horn? http://wolo-mfg.com/horns/truck-horns/low-pressure/model-836-silver-streakr-dd-12-volt.html The current one is just... it's pathetic. It's like a little 'meep' kind of thing.

Check the booklet for the radio and see if it says that, then you can do 1 of 3 things: 1) Hook it to the hand/E brake. 2) Hook it to a toggle switch somewhere. 3) Hook directly to ground so as to keep the function on all the time. Just make sure if you do 3 that the functions don't stay on while the car is off or you'll have some nasty parasitic drain going on.

Fucking stupid safety shit. I did a lot of research about it online. I ended up buying one of those automatic bypasses for it off Amazon. Apparently Pioneer's newer radios (this one included) have programming that detects when you're trying to bypass it by wiring it into the ground and locks the whole thing out. I'd do the toggle switch but I don't want a toggle switch hanging from my center console (and from what I hear you HAVE to flip the switch a few times every time you start the car so it 'fixes' the brake signal to the head unit) So I'm just buying the bypass. Fuck it. Stupid safety shit.
has the weird idle issue solved its self yet?
Yeah, threw in some Techron and it's fine now.

I measured horn to the back of the diaphragm and its about 20". I paid $60 for mune... $150 could buy you a cheap legitamate train horn setup.

Is yours 12v or air compressor?
Yeah but then I'd need an actual air compressor and air tank in my truck which is not particularly something I want to do. Is yours 12v or air compressor?
That little can you see that comes with it is a 12v air compressor. It just doesn't store any air, only pumps. The $150 setups have air tanks and compressors in them... Look direct to the right of my horn you can see the compressor. I just wired the horn switch to there instead and grounded it. Super simple. That horn itself takes up a lot of space. Make sure you have the room. It needs about 5" height to clear. That's why it angles off the side of the fender, so it will sit lower. That's why I'm looking at it. ACTUAL train horns would require a separate air compressor and tank. Like the one you linked, that's a separate air compressor that they're just including with the horn. I don't want to do that. I just want it to run off the 12v battery, which is why I'm looking at the ones with the air compressor built in.

So I fixed my car, the actual problems were. 1. The first boost leak I heard was the throttle body, there is a seal that goes on the shaft that sits in the housing. That was bad. 2. Intake hose that I was using as a spare split in half, that was fun. 3. Manual boost controller was completely packed with oil, when taking it apart for some reason it didn't drain but when I put the air compressor on it, it blew out a TON of stuff in the MBC. Car now pulls really strong and goes to 15psi again. $400 later :v And an extra large turbo that needs to go on.

What is your wastegate set at? The current MBC I have, along with the others I've tried just suck. I'm thinking when you switch to the new turbo with that adjustable wastegate you can ditch the stupid controller.
This may be what you want then.
Not gonna buy it if there's no option to hear what it sounds like. That's why I'm on Wolo's website. The 2nd one I linked is pretty good. I think it sounds better than the silver streak and costs less.
