Afaik, it is pronounce Tou-ge and since we don't use fancy accented letters it should be just right. I used to take the same type of road in the video everyday when I still drove a Proton, they're really fun to push around in. I would actually want this car if proton put in their really-really good multi-link suspension in it but its a tiny budget car and I'm pretty sure they'll have this car's torsion suspension engineered too. This is what proton is super good at : Suspension This is what they are bad at : Engines This is what they're worse at : Plastic interior Proton suspension are buttfuck fantastic seriously, and they handle really well. The car just goes wherever you point it at. Their engines have always been underpowered, I mean 100hp out of a 1.6l engine in 2014 is just disappointing, not to mention the 10.0:1 compression ratio. The interior of their baseline models have always been made with a hunk of crap. A plastic tupperware has more strength than the plastic interior of dubious quality. Their CVT is ehhhhhh, its very "untuned". Its not as bland as boring as other manufacturer's but its still extremely bland and boring. You'll get what I'm trying to say if you drove Nissan's CVT and then drive Proton's CVT. IMO if you're getting a Proton: -Get a manual -Get the high end model
I'm not getting it, fortunately/unfortunately. Already got a car but wishing I could get this instead. Also apparently the CVT is a lot better than previous Protons. Also, here are the specs: http://www1.proton-edar.com.my/en/Models/The%20all%20new%20Proton%20IRIZ/Model%20Pricing%20and%20Specification%20Page.aspx. Is this the kind of suspension setup you were talking about?

Watching this confused me. I definitely think my '04 POS 1.6 Accent is faster/handles better than this. Or maybe it was just their driving. Yesterday my sister WOT'd her '14 Camry and it sounded like she turned on the clothes dryer. Completely tinny and gutless. It might as well be full-electric.

Boat is put back together. Just gotta do some fuel work to get out some of this shit thats been sitting for the winter + some. Then its to the lake. Finally. Just in time for the fishing trip too
I should buy a boat.
You already drive one.
I should buy a boat.
You'll be happiest when you first buy it and when you sell it. They're great when they work and frustrating when they dont.
http://hudsonvalley.craigslist.org/cto/4966525696.html Ohhhhhhh lord help me forgive me padre for I want to sin
Can you find a halfway decent car? That thing is a pile of shit that I wouldn't even sit in. I almost made the mistake of buying a 1969 Benz 280SE that was like that.
I should buy a boat.
I'm about to be done with this Chris Craft U-26 and then I;m moving a 16 foot century runabout into the shop to restore. I'm thinking when all is said and done, I'll be able to move it for about $45k if your interested and it's still around, you should buy it. U-26 is nearing completion... All the planks are on, we're doing the epoxy work on the bottom to get a nice reverse chine on there. The more time you spend doing body work on the bottom, the faster you make the hull speed. This boat still tops out at about 50mph no matter what kind of engine you put in it, this one in particular is equipped with two Crusader V8s. Now I am going through the tedious task of plugging every single recessed screw hole. There's about 500 per plank, 14 planks per side, and then the entire transom and bottom as well. We also cut our own plugs so the wood looks similar, not buying premade stuff. And the 5" exhaust is test fit and getting modified in the hacker... Standing on top of the U-26 I was finally able to get a mostly full shot of the Hacker Streamliner. That's hard to do in a cramped shop with a boat that's 30' long. The exhaust gets dropped off with a metal fabricator soon, so the chine dumps can be welded on, then we're looking to get a 5" butterfly exhaust cutout for both pipes, then they need to be cut down a bit to fit in a strike tank to nickel plate them, then they get copper plated for originality.

It looks like whatever controls your tach signal is a little f'ed up.
It looks like whatever controls your tach signal is a little f'ed up.
I think it just idles funny since its cold and I deleted everything. Im gonna run it for a while again after I change the oil.
I have a question. Does anyone remember the K&N lawsuit where they sued Spectre because Spectre claimed you could make some rediculous amount of HP or fuel saving off it, and had a little Dyno graph showing the gains. KN said it was false advertising and won, then everyone was able to get in on a class action to get their money back from Spectre. KN claims to make a superior product out of Riverside Ca, Spectre imports filters to Riverside Ca. I was looking at companies for sponsorships and looked at both of them, and holy jeez, not only were they in the same city, but the physical and mailing address are the exact same... http://www.knfilters.com/contact.htm http://www.spectreperformance.com/contact So are both companies one in the same? Did KN buy Spectre or the other way around? Or were they the same place all along and sued themselves to boost sales of the more expensive brand? Are they selling the same damn thing? My other question, is that when you look at the "factory" pictures for KN, all they have is a warehouse, and a shipping center. My thought, is the same filters are imported from China, they add that little "spectre" rib to some of them, and the K/N ridge to other ones, package them in different boxes. EDIT: Holy shit I just looked for AEM, and they are also at P.o. box 1329 out of Riverside California. What have I stumbled upon?...

So Serj, since you're kinda the resident boat dude, I've got a couple questions for ya: Why do people say that owning a boat is so misserable? I've got several friends with boats, with no problems and pretty much the only money they're putting into them are for petrol and oil and renting a lot for it at the local marina. 2: How difficult would it be to get a running car engine to propel a boat?
[vid]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2488893/11175108_848084801938361_290281244_n.mp4[/vid] I hate watching rally videos because I get scared at 50mph on similar roads
I want rally to be big again, even though WRC is picking up a bit it's still so sparsely advertised, theres zero mention of up-coming races so it's hard to remember.

I once was driving on this bendy road in middle of nowhere, turned around and was picking up speed. Hit a blind uphill at ~100ish kmh, car went airborne and I landed a bit sideways(thank god, otherwise I would have flewn in to a field) got my adrenaline rush and slowed down a bit for the rest of the ride [editline]4th May 2015[/editline] Not nice seeing a field in front of you and having to react to the fact that tires are not touching the ground

Otherwise you won't see a damn 1hp out of a filter drop in unless the filter is entirely clogged or it's on a very high horsepower/turbo car where a UNI would by far dominate. There's a reason people get "JDM filters", the Apexi ones and what not are often made similarly to a UNI. The problem is though that they have very low lifespans and disintegrate.

SO let me try. 1 is that boat parts are expensive, and a boat is technically an unecessary luxury. Being in water makes things go bad faster than usual - metal, wood, etc... 2: How difficult? Relatively easy. The real problem is the cost of the transmission and cooling properties. You need to find a way to pump raw water into the engine's cooling jacket, and then expell it outside the boat, or find a heat exchanger that will pump raw water next to a coolant system and cool the engine with fresh water. Then you need a velvet drive or marine transmission. Expect to pay about $2,000 or more. Then you'll need to find a shaft that effectively works for the engine, mount the engine at a specific angle that allows the shaft log to come out at the same spot it originally did, then find a prop with a size and pitch that will make the boat run effectively. Now you also need to cool the exhaust with raw water as well, which will require a marine type set of manifolds, which you may have to make depending. If you want to ignore all the technical work, the people in Bangkok Thailand have the answer for you with the water taxis, they are literally just big American V8's strapped to the back of a boat that looks completely unsafe, but they work apparently. They have a long-ass prop shaft and the engine is angled to compensate. if you do it the thailand method, you need no other parts than a fuel tank really.
the exact same company.
Legally, they are not, even if they reside in the same exact place.
