Honestly I wish I had come out with a tire iron or bat to make myself more threatening, all I did was say "whats up" in a very insinuating fashion hinting I knew what was going on. I just wanted to protect my car and not make a scene while my neighbors were sleeping but if I could do it again I'd definitely be more vocal about it. That shit personally offended me.

With cut springs its more a matter of them not seating properly, but if you cut them at the right angle that shouldn't be a problem.
Oh, and thinking about picking this up once I sell the car that nearly got jacked haha

It's also far worse on macpherson strut/coil over spring suspension, not really that bad with the separate shock style body on frame cars where the shocks could fall off and you would hardly know.
Mustang Sally, I love you Bropar, and that's why I have to be mean and stern with you, or you'll keep spending money on things that are not a Dart. I'm not gonna say I'm disappointed with you, but I am dissapointed with someone on these forums and their Screen Name Starts with a "V" and ends with an "E" and also has the letters a,l,n,o,y,k,e, and R. I'll leave it at that.
I got more than enough cash in the bank for the dart. I just needed something to keep me sane while I was out of town, a goal to work towards.
Speaking of stolen vehicles, my buddys moms car just got stolen. They walked right in the front door when everyone was home, grabbed her purse with the keys in it and took off!
Cut springs really aren't the end of the world, on older vehicles like that it's usually recommended and approved up to cut the springs a little. I'd probably look into some generic QA1 springs or something along those lines though. As long as it's not dropped to shit, it'll be fine.
Yeah, from his email he said it was the only way to do it as well as lowering blocks in the back. People in the mini truck forums say mitsubishi mighty max springs would be ideal.
He was supposed to send me photos but I think he forgot. lol
Work truck got sold yesterday. It looks alot smaller without the camper shell.
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/hLtcFGQ.jpg[/img_thumb]
Getting replaced with a new Ford F250 tomorrow, pics when that shows up. Thankfully it's the same size bed, so it'll be getting the old camper shell.

Work.
Aluminum trucks also won't rust!!
I really want to see how the brand new trucks hold up after being ripped through salt all year without a wash and smashed all up.

I mean you could always... wash it
What kind of F250 you getting man? What year/body style/color? Got any pics? Long bed or short bed, etc
There isnt enough wax and water in this world to prevent a work truck from rust
There isnt enough wax and water in this world to prevent a work truck from rust
No but typically rust-preventative coatings help a lot. I've heard good things about Rustoleum's underbody sprays

Company work trucks and fleets just go through the automatic car washes.

If it was your personal truck of course, companies get these trucks for fleet pricing and do zero work to them and then sell them when the warranty is up so they never have to maintain them. They get sold at auction for bottom dollar and end up in the scrap before most people even change their tires.
The guy sent me whatever photos he has on his phone to tide me over until he can take some new ones later.

I dunno, if the rest of the car is as good as what I can see, maybe. But I'm not quite sold just yet especially at the current price point.
[editline]5th May 2015[/editline]
Also, out of curiosity, are there any kits to convert rear leaf suspension to coilovers? I know there are for lifted trucks or crawlers and all that, but what about ones for street conversions?

No idea yet. Boss has a habit for secrecy. Likely base model in black with long bed, just like the Silverado.
Mishimoto emailed me back and accepted me into their sponsorship program. It's not a full ride, but I get 42% off of anything for a full year. That's something right? I have to display two decals on the car and I get a coupon code every time I order something, and they post the car all over their fb and website.
Matt Farah finally drove a Honda!

I really fucking hate this new youtube player, I can't watch in 1080p without it freezing up and glitching out like hell for some stupid reason.

It's a work truck, you buy a brand new truck usually. You don't sell off a 5-6 year old truck to buy a 20-25 year old truck for your company.

Eh.
On the topic of worktrucks my dad has killed of 7 F350 superduty flatbeds, a GMC 3500 flatbed ,a GMC Cabover, and One Dodge flatbed.
this was over the course of 30 years and he had 2-3 trucks on the road at a time,4 were lost to accidents 1 fire and the others were run into the ground.
My dad's burned through one Dodge Ram 2500 in the past twenty-five years, and it bit the dust on two engines and a tranny in a single year. Of his three Fords, not a single one of his died in his hands and died after being given to the Commercial guy who would go on to put another 100-200k miles on the F250s after he got it at 200k miles. Most recent '08 died after it ate one of the intake valves at 196k.
Myself, I've put 50k miles in a year on my E-150 and it runs better now than when I first got it at 195k.

That's an awful way to treat a classy lady like that. What's wrong with you?
So, my MR2 runs and drives now, but for some reason it idles pretty high. When cold, it kinda has a rough start, but then it runs fine but it idles at 2200k, and if you give it time, it will settle down to 2000. Any ideas why it would do this?

Ignore my stupid talking during the video, I was talking to my friend about how I think I saw a similar problem somewhere else but I haven't looked yet and I want to get as many opinions as possible.

Most of these trucks were in pretty poor shape to start with and were run hard.
The most memorable truck he had was a Ford Superduty at less than 3000rpm it would only run on 5 cylinders above 3000rpm 7 and going up hill all 8.
Hey, when I bought my car, it only ran on 5 cylinders too. :v:

Obviously it's just variable displacement to save fuel!!!

You guys are all talking about awesome Ford trucks. With some googling I actually found a picture of the F-150 my dad used to drive:

Class 8 trophy truck, 700-800 horsepower, 24 inches suspension travel and rear wheel drive! He placed third in the Baja 250 once.
