https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHBNelsQyvg Oh God
It's fake. those pricks are known for faking pics and ratings, plus speeding up videos.
Basically, yeah. Hydraulic fluids in general are either a waste oil or a water-based fluid that when compressed is able to exert more force than was first applied by changing the pressure. Okay, /physicsnerd.
Haha thanks, was hoping there wasn't some unknown fluid I had never heard of, I thought I atleast knew all of those! But yeah it's sounding like its the master cylinder then. From the video i watched it doesn't look like too hard a fix, so we'll see how she goes. Thanks Guys!
Not a problem. Enjoy the replacement and don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it. Despite our sarcasm and ranting, most people here can be helpful.
Now I feel really stupid asking this, but hydraulic fluid is just the general term for brake fluid, power steering etc... Right? Didn't feel any fluid, just years of dust & dirt, although the clutch arm felt kinda oily. I'm thinking it's the master cylinder, found a video of a guy replacing his on his Focus and sounded like the exact same problem, so fingers crossed!
Your clutch line SHOULD use the fluid that's in your brake reservoir.
But, if it's just a small drip of oil coming periodically after use or just a bit of excess slipping past the seals in the hydraulic body, it won't use that much and would take a while to be a noticeable drop if the reservoir is more than half a liter.
My 2007 Dodge Charger Pursuit is having problems. Wont crank, but the starter is fine. Fuse #14 doesn't light up with a test light. Any one have any ideas? I cannot figure this out. I've seen problems ranging from the ignition switch, the relay I turn the starter on with (which I just bought, but pulled the case off so I didn't burn my self shorting it with a copper wire), or the shift selector thing breaking. But I cannot find the same problems.
Replace the fuse and do a PCM flush (There's a key command to do it, but I don't remember right off. It's similar to the TCM flush and the Error Code Reader). If your PCM isn't getting power or it detects issues, it'll go into Limp Mode which can cause it not to crank.

Also, Lerlth, pull your 11 fuse. It resets your PCM which can cause a starter crank issue if there's an issue with 14 too and will reset your TCM in addition if you had any sluggishness in throttle response.
Except that's a money pit so no
Lol. Money pit. Except no. Money goes into it to improve it. Also M.A.Stoner, you're my new artist in this thread for agreeing. You're going to be like Rembrandt when I'm through with you. Also Agent, what you have against the slant6? You can literally run it for 100k miles between oil changes, and maybe rebuild it when it hits 600k miles. Best engine for turbo and oil line mods, and it can be had for less than $150.

I'll let it sit over night like that. That will reset the PCM and TCM. Should after 20 mins anyway, but it's dark out here and I can work on it tomorrow. I'm just hoping it's not the ignition switch, the police version has the shifter directly in the way of the place you could pull the ignition switch out of. So, I'd have to take out the entire shifter linkage just to look at it... Thanks for the suggestion, hopefully that'll help.
Yeah, it's underpowered but I can deal with that considering both the pricetag and the looks. That and I probably won't go over the speedlimit much anyway. Also I doublechecked, the one I'm looking at is most definetely the 944 Turbo. What gives it away is the bumper. Which is lovely, tbh. [t]http://i.imgur.com/9R2UZes.png[/t]
Fuckin yes. I fucking would die for a 944 Turbo. I almost bought one not running (not getting fuel) a year ago. They are great cars, share alot of common volkswagen parts. But along with most cars of that era. Bosch Mechanical Fuel injection. The bane of multiple users here. If it works great. It works great unless you let it sit up for years. If it doesn't work than expect to just replace the entire fuel system because of items not to spec. [editline]21st April 2015[/editline]
Also DP, if I could come and get that thing I would, as I've got an OM 616 and a 4 spd manual sitting out in east bumfuck waiting to get a new home.
One.... stipulation.... I want to make a dresser out of the front clip. :v: Joking of corse....

Serj is suffering Serj-induced madness, the Serj-ness has made him insane.
I'd say its the master too, they're pretty easy to change. The hardest part is getting your hands into the foot well. [editline]20th April 2015[/editline] God damn it. [editline]20th April 2015[/editline]
Is it just me or does it look like its got a cable clutch, not hydraulic. Which means that bit of oil is coming from the brake master somehow.
Serj is suffering from mopar-induced madness, the exhaust fumes have got to his head :( How goes the boat(s)?
Mopar-induced madness? Nah. I went up to a "car show" in Lawton, Oklahoma mostly all new motards. I swear you cant even have a fucking conversation with 80% of them. Some are just stuck up pricks and hover over your sholder when you try to take a photo of a halfway cool custom exhaust manifold. I like car guys and all, but certain cities and certain "groups" are just ignorant. Which that is a 2-way street. The worst group I've seen so far is a local group here called "East Texas Packard Collectors".... We went to them asking questions about the engine/trans and wanted to know about rebuild kits / gasket kits. And they kinda all kicked the bucket around until they said "we dunno" then my friend threw out a "well fuck might as well put a ls motor in it then"...... Yeah.... We got kicked out..... immediately.
Serj, you gotta make your carpet darker (black vynl and fabric paint works good), it ll really help tie everything together. Plus maybe something different for the door panels?

I met an honest to god cuntwagon at a car show with a 60 something Chevelle. He couldn't even tell me the size of the motor, but insisted he built the car from the ground up. I started asking him increasingly complex questions about the car, he couldn't answer any of them, and eventually told me to fuck off. :v: I feel like real "car guys" are getting rarer.
It seems silly, but a lot of car designers were trying to imitate the curves of a woman. That was kind of the whole idea. Then throw in a Tremec T56 aft of the engine because the old 4G-Tronic can only deal with so much bullshit. And then swap in a glass moonroof, paint it brown, and throw some monoblocks on it and call it a day. Or maybe instead of the 5.6, throw in a 5.0L M119 CIS-3E -But finding an M119 KE3 is fuckall hard because they only made them for a year and a half before they converted the M119 over to LH Jet

I just got a Kenwood head unit and the thing stutters with bluetooth. On top of that, the left side speaker wires just started cutting out as I open and close the doors. Ugh, there's 300+ in the hole on a nonfunctional stereo :/ Hopefully I can get this sorted out.
