I just got a Kenwood head unit and the thing stutters with bluetooth. On top of that, the left side speaker wires just started cutting out as I open and close the doors. Ugh, there's 300+ in the hole on a nonfunctional stereo :/ Hopefully I can get this sorted out.
which unit and phone, and what car?
97 Honda Prelude. HTC One M7. Kenwood KMM-BT312U.
You gettin stutter with the bluetooth during phone calls or music streamin? Were speakers replaced at the same time, too? First thing I'd be checking if a speaker is cutting in/out with the door opening/closing is the wiring inside the door boot. Peel that baby back and look for splits, etc. Not very common on Hondas, but that's not to say it can't ever happen. If the speakers were replaced and the problem developed after that I'd be checking into the connection at the speaker itself, especially depending on the method that was used to attach the factory wiring to the aftermarket speaker.

I jabbed at the tube of wires and it would cut in and out for that particular left speaker, so it's definitely a wiring issue between the HU and the speaker. As far as bluetooth is concerned, it generally stutters whenever doing anything that outputs music/audio. This I believe to be unrelated to the left speaker as it stutters throughout the car. (The other 3 speakers are fine) And the left speaker issue only arose when installing the new head unit, but it was strange as I could invoke stuttering by jabbing/pinching that bundle of wires connecting the door to the rest of the car (gently, not causing damage). Just my luck. My dad's pretty good with this stuff so I'll probably have him take a look. Worse comes to worst, I'll be putting new wires in.
Well, it's either the Turbo or a "later water-cooled model" of the 944. Either way is good to be honest.
AFAIK the turbo front end looks like this [t]http://carslaws.com/images/porsche-944-8321.jpg[/t] So unless I'm misunderstanding all your posts, you're not getting a turbo
Doesn't look like I'll get the Porsche after all. Bank didn't approve a loan until next month and I'm 99.9% certain he'll have sold it by then. :saddowns: The hunt continues...
Bought a set of iridium spark plugs, K&N Oil/Fuel/Air filters. Weather seems to have subdued and uni is still cancelled for tomorrow so that means I could probably get myself some tools, jacks, stands, motor oil and stuffs to change motor oil with (all I can think of is washers and drip pans, am I missing anything).
I've noticed a lot of douchey new money types pay real mechanics to build their cars and then go touring car shows like they're hot shit, know jack about their car and aren't interested in discussing it if you aren't sucking their dicks. I met an honest to god cuntwagon at a car show with a 60 something Chevelle. He couldn't even tell me the size of the motor, but insisted he built the car from the ground up. I started asking him increasingly complex questions about the car, he couldn't answer any of them, and eventually told me to fuck off. :v: I feel like real "car guys" are getting rarer.
Meets and groups attract a group of people that want to show off what they have, usually focusing more on what car it is and how much it is worth according to them. They want the attention, they show up at every meet bragging about their engine or rare color to get their fix. In the meantime you got people tinkering on their 700whp beasts in their garage, with 5 engine blocks and donor cars on storage, where the only untouched part is the VIN plate, yet they don't go out of their way to brag or show off.

Fabricated a shorty coldside intake for the Miata for $25. I don't know why Mazda places the stock intake on the left side of the motor directly next to the exhaust manifold, but my intake temps dropped by 20 degrees according to my code reader this way; just had to extend the MAF wiring a few inches. Plus, it growwwwlllsss. Excuse my poor camera work. But thats why he made a new intake
Make a box around it and/or relocate it. I relocated the intake to the right side of the motor next to the intake manifold, where it's 20 degrees cooler. Did you not read the post?

Should I supercharge my 2013 Civic Si or get something that already has that amount of power like an Evo or WRX STI or GTO or something?
GTO!
my number plate is half taped on because the paint fell off <3 NS E series plates
GTO!
That's what I was thinking. They're reliable for under 20k and can handle 900hp without engine mods. 400hp stock. I work with a guy who has one with a race cam, exhaust, wide ass tires and it's at like 500hp. The thing is a rocket. His plan is to supercharge it. Oh fuck.
m-mitsubishi GTO? Reliable? or are we thinking of different GTOs?
2006 Pontiac GTO... They're not crappy dude. Mitsubishi doesn't have a car model named GTO
m-mitsubishi GTO? Reliable? or are we thinking of different GTOs?
Pontiac GTO -Ninja'd-
Uhh why
Because trying to make a civic fast just makes you a dirty ricer who still has a slow car.
