[QUOTE=Gulen;47739688]Don't know how it is over there, but here it's sorta difficult. It's a lot easier to grab an old camper, take the camping bit of and make a trailer out of that, then you've got the brakes, axles, etc already.[/QUOTE]
Yeah what I was thinking of doing was going to a junkyard/pick&pull and finding a discarded trailer frame and building a new trailer on top of that.
Chrysler has fuel feed issues installed new truly pump and still won't get fuel, hooked a boat gas tank with pump ball and it worked fine.
I want to do away with mechanical pump and go for an electric need some guidence on this.

Soooo I welded my driver and passanger side angles onto my bumper, the driver side came out alittle low.... So what does a sane man do? PICK IT UP WITH A TRACTOR AND SEE IF IT WILL STRAIGHTEN OUT.
When I built it.... It was stright and level.... Just not to the truck. To the concrete it was perfect!

Then I goofed off the rest of the day.... And just drove around aimlessly.

Feels good.
Shes almost done, just gotta do my plating, and shackle brackets and she will be good to go.
On the topic of insurance:
When I bought my truck, I had to have my pops co-sign for me to get the approval (Kinda bothered me. My income is enough to afford the payments and I have a solid credit payment history. Never missed a payment in my life, but w/e) so my insurance company required I put him on my policy because he's technically an owner of the car.
Increased my premium by $50 every 6 months.

[QUOTE=Silence I Kill You;47738984]An AC/DC stick welder with HF AC TIG capabilities. You start and get good at stick welding, and when you've learned that, you move on to TIG. Wire feed welding is stupid easy and you won't learn anything from it.[/QUOTE]
Tig.... is well... TIG.
In thehory its fucking amazing, but really stick welding is were its at. To me when we weld 3/16 - 1/2" stuff stick is what we go to. MIG indeed is "super easy" but when your trying to whip out 32 fence panels MIG is what you use.
Im gonna buy a TIG unit from harborfright this weekend and give my honest option, hell if I don't like it I can return it... Plus I already have a straight argon tank at the shop.

I'm 23 and my dad is 66. Your rhetoric doesn't apply in this situation, and statistically speaking young adult men are safer drivers than young adult women.

So... I think I posted in here a while ago about the local coffee girl who turned 16 not too long ago and her parents got her a 2008 Mustang GT? Yeah... she totaled it this week already, unsurprisingly, and asked if my car was for sale because she wanted to buy it....
Really...?

You said yes and sold it to her for more than its worth, right?
I told her $17k and walked away before she could respond, actually. Another guy in there (has a white SE AWD with the same engine) just laughed hysterically.

The "teen" part exclusively doesnt apply, but the rest does which is why its cheaper to have your father be the primary than it is to have your own
[editline]16th May 2015[/editline]
its about risk taking, not actual safety of driving

I've had my own insurance since I was 19. My insurance before my dad got put on my policy was only $394 every 6 months.

I have only ever had my own insurance. Also the prices here are jacked right up I pay 206$ a month I have a 43% discount from having 0 claims tickets or demerits. If I were still in Alberta my insurance would be be nearly 400$ with the only justification being that I am under 25 years of age
[editline]16th May 2015[/editline]
Is Canada anti car or something? we have absurdly high insurance and gas prices.

How much coverage are you getting with your $206/mo insurance?

I have a walbro electric pump on my car. You need to find an appropriate fuel pressure regulator. Theres no way around paying about $100 for the pump and $150 for the regulator. Anything cheaper is not really functional. Ive tried it.

$1000000 insurance is the legal minimum here afaik and it bein a legal minimum doesn't exactly make anyone too competitive with their prices. Not saying it's a bad thing tho.
The trick to cheap insurance is to have either a connection or the right car. a 240z is cheaper for me to insure than a civic because of insurance company loyalty and vehicle statistics
It's amazing the deals that can come when you threaten to switch
Sanded and primed the first wheel, still gotta do the other, might do the other one tomorrow then paint and clearcoat.

bought this engine paint for them because it was closest to the color I wanted, I don't think it will be a problem since paint is paint, and im clear coating them anyways.

Jesus christ are you serious? That's insane. $1,000,000 insurance isn't required anywhere in America for consumers. Only businesses IIRC.
In fact, through my carrier (Progressive) the highest option is $250,000 Bodily Injury and $500,000 Property Damage.

My mistake we only need $500 000 but $1 000 000 is the most common. Mostly boils down to the difference in legal culture here. We don't sue as often but when we do holy shit.
I know of someone who got a $100 000 suit against them in their first year of driving. Minor injuries after a fender bender
It's about medical expenses etc.
With all that Im quoted at ~$173/month for the 240
[editline]17th May 2015[/editline]
I believe the theory behind the minimum insurance thing is so that if you kill someone it is paid for

What medical expenses? You have socialized healthcare. You don't pay a dime for hospital visits, right?
Your insurance requirements are insane. I can go as low as $10,000 Bodily Injury/Property Damage and no other coverage if I wanted.
When a dipshit Prius driver gets on the express lane and goes slower than the normal freeway it really grinds my gears. You have to pay money each time you use the expressway, I'm paying money to avoid people like you. How dare you actively cost me money.

I hate those people that create a plug on four lane roads by driving the same speed as each other.
It's like, holy shit, fucking don't do this.

What do you drive? I drive a 2007 4runner ,when I had my fordFocus it was still pretty high around 175$ a month.

When I first got insurance for my car it was so I could get back and forth to work 3000$ deductible on a 1500$ car just so I could afford it.

I pay $283 a month for $50k liability, $25k bodily injury. I must be getting hosed because holy fuck.

Considering she's a 16 year old girl working at a coffee shop, I wasn't expecting her to have the money to buy it anyways and he clearly got that it was a joke.
