Anyone here have any leads on Subaru heated leather front seats? The cloth on my 2014 Impreza is wearing out and it's a pain to clean.
Honestly, I love Bottetourt (they're yuppy rednecks, which is the weirdest combination ever. Think country northernfolk but less terrible) County, Roanoke County outside of the main city area is pretty down to earth, Franklin County is your typical innawoods redneck, while Montgomery County/Blacksburg is your kinda blend between city folk living in the country and your good-ol'-boy city slicker which again makes for an interesting blend.

Really? My family lives not to far away from Williamsport. Granted, we don't travel north for much beyond work up there, and 70 takes us perfectly to where we hunt. Where's it supposed to connect? With 70 and 81 or the Turnpike?
On the PA side I've got no idea, unless a section of the Susquehanna Beltway becomes I-99 but even that leads to a dead end. I suppose having I-99 go from Rochester NY to I-80 or connect to route 22 wouldn't be a bad idea. I'd still take Route 15 south of Williamsport to Allenwood/Lewisburg/etc instead because I'm crazy.

How about a set of Domingo front seats?
[t]http://puu.sh/h1mVB.jpg[/t]
They are about as comfortable as a brick, however they are easy to clean

But I enjoy having an interior that doesn't look like ass.
Maybe I should join the dart crew. :v:

That add is super vague. But a nice early A body Dart like that with a rebuilt slant six would be a nice car. Just make sure it's not an "aerosol overhaul" where they just painted the engine and called it rebuilt.
Also be sure the entire interior is all there. Parts for early A's are not easy to come by, and people want rediculous amounts of money for them. You might do better with a 67+. But the early ones are pretty. That's also a good price. I'd pay about $2500 for it if the engine really is freshened up.

It already sold. :c
It already sold. :c
Yeah that was a premium price. Here's a nice one for you. $4k I'd pay. It's near L.A. too I think.

Oh my.
I'm not quite familiar with old cars really, but were floor shifters ever an option?
Column shift and bench seats in general are a deal breaker for me unless it's in a truck.

Column shift and bench seat is a great option. I know 3 on the tree was available, as was push button, but that was earlier I think - like 62 where you literally pushed a button on the dash that said "D" or "R" or 1,2. They have 3 and 4 speeds on the floor, but that's a more rare option. That was in the days when floor shift was a cheap option, and they worked so hard to get the shifter off the floor to have more room, so no one really wanted it back on the floor, ya know?
That one looks like a non-column shift - so it may be a push button or a floor.
Back from car show. Was a good turnout, around 120 cars. Probably 20 911s. Some notable cars include:
4.2 E-Type, heavily modified GT500 making 1160 hp and 1025 lb-ft of torque, 458 speciale, 928 with a ridiculous body kit for sale for $12,500, california turbo, 308gtb, new M4, new m235i, 3.0 CSL, supercharged c2 vette
Towards the way end when most people had already left, this very nice Asian man with a thick accent pulled up in a 2014 Gallardo, and his sister was driving his new M3.
My friend who organized the event had his dad bring his Evora S, 1984 3.2 911, and 2015 911 gt3.
my other friends dad brought some cars. I knew he was a car collector and I often see him driving his purple classic GTO or classic gt350. He didn't bring either- instead he took his 930 turbo and another car my friend never mentioned his dad has...
a ferrari daytona
Of all the cars he never mentioned his dad has, it was the fucking ferrari daytona. It was the first time he ever took it to a show. He left the keys sitting on the center console the entire time...
I wish I could have gotten a ride in one of the cars. My friend could have taken me in the GT3 if I was 21 (which I'm not) since he only has his permit. The things I would have done to practice driving on a 911 gt3.
I saw mad max last night. It was good but I don't get why everyone is freaking out about it. The action was great and the sets were amazing but there was next to no story.

Yeah, half the time we take 40 from Williamsport north, but we tend to go nortwest-west when we head north from there. Family's from out in Cumberland area originally so we have very few reasons to head towards Gettysburg or New York.

I want to see it for nostalgia more than anything. But you forget you're comparing it to a movie (the original trilogy) where there was a lot of action sequences, and not a lot of story, as well. So I mean, that's kind of the draw of it is a typical guys action flick with übercharged cars and beefy big blocks with smokestacks.
almost done with these fuckin things, ordered some tires, now just gotta order a couple bolts and seal them.

I see a mopar trend in this thread as of late or maybe its because I just bought a Chrysler myself?
Test fit the mount for the PC in my trunk today. Looks like shit at the moment, though the alternative is the PC and PSU rolling around the trunk. I'll probably throw on some paint quickly tomorrow and let it dry for a few days to make it slightly less terrible. I'll also mount the PSU below the PC since I have a lot more room than I thought I was going to.

Getting closer to done this project, though I still have to install the USB hub, build a bracket to mount the LCD to the dash, install the new stereo, finish the center console controller and run some more cables.
So with the ongoing adventure that is my MR2, the last few days I have been driving it, the battery has died (voltmeter goes down and then the car sputters and dies) after running it with the lights on.
Turned out to be my alternator so I ordered one from advance and they were fantastic and got it to me later today.
After all of my work, I got my new alternator installed in the damn thing and it works great!
14 volts under load.
I've also been practicing driving stick and it has been...interesting. I have some issues taking off with it in first because of the high idle issue, and of course because of myself.
Hopefully tomorrow when I put the new TPS sensor in, that fixes it.
My friend was teaching me the other day and once I get going, it's piss easy, but it's the stop-then-go stuff that kills me, I'm afraid to burn out the brand new clutch the previous owner put into it before he sold it to me.

Ah. Makes sense. I was confused, cause we ain't got no I-12 here

US-19, there is literally an accident on it every few hours and serious injury or at MINIMUM death/very near death once every 2 weeks somewhere along the line.
You talking about the one that runs N/S in Pinellas County?
God fuck that road. The only good thing about it is how every exit once it turns into a proper highway has U-Turn ramps.

Fuck me those are gorgeous. Can't wait to see them on the car.
Also my Chrysler has Sears brand whitewall tires, the tread is still good but I think they may be a bit over aged.

Its because MOPAR OR NO CAR
A bodies are cheap and abundant, cool looking, light, and highly customizable cars yet they are uncommon enough that they wont be just another camaro/mustang/corvette you see rolling around.
Speaking of camaros and mustangs, anyone else sick of seeing the fucking things everywhere? fucking place is saturated in them.
Okay, I gotta ask everybody. What's the worst highway in America? In regards to traffic, accidents and shutdowns, boredom, uselessness or whatever.
Saw Mill Parkway, though cubeman would disagree for obvious reasons.

Saw Mill Pkwy lanes are wide enough for maybe a bike. Sure as hell not for cars. How long ago was that thing designed?
Speaking of Chrysler/MOPAR, funny enough I actually got my Ford truck from a Chrysler dealership.
Thought it was kinda funny.

One of us. One of us. One of us.
But really, I think it's just the fact that a lot of us here like Mopars and Fords of the domestic brands.

I got my Dodge car from a Honda dealership.
And regretted it every step of the way.

It needs a stripe tho.

why in the fuck do you have hood pins.

I want black stripes up the center.
why in the fuck do you have hood pins.
Because the hood flutters and moves above 80mph and when 18 wheelers pass going the other way without them. I needed them for function.
