My bike is aircooled, but I'm not overly concerned as I can keep an eye on the temperature via the dash. Plus, I'm planning on getting a used S2R oil cooler from egay that I'll be rigging on. That works great. Do you know if they can be ordered in single units? I'm working on a slim budget, but if push comes to shove having a spare headlight handy isn't the worst thing in the world.
I don't see why you couldn't get just one at a time, you may have to call them up and ask as they all say kit after the name of the bulb. I'd just go for it as having a spare won't kill you, and if your feeling the fabrication bug you can just build a really fucking badass flashlight! [editline]20th May 2015[/editline] Another thing, A friend of mine has a BMW E530i (I think E) and his sunroof won't close all the way. Does anyone have experience with adjusting the motor and or felt cables thingums? I have very little as to what to do and I'd rather not break it worse then it is. And how to remove the sliding cover below the glass and how to remove the glass. Why beemer gotta be so posh?

Why beemer gotta be so posh?
BMW 530i Anyway, those German surnoofs have fuckloads of felt You have to remove the sunshade to detach the motor cable, this is required to manipulate the roof, and it's detailed below. The glass is held on the carriers by 4 bolts, to get to them, you have to pull the accordion looking things off of the sides if the roof is stuck on tilt. If the roof is stuck and can't tilt, then you're gonna have a ton of fun. You must open the roof all the way, and then pull the sunshade out and through the top of the car. Then unscrew the sunroof tracks from the roof pan, bring the roof forward and push it up, pull accordions off, then unbolt roof. If the roof cannot open, you must remove the headliner and drop the roof pan. The roof is likely jammed because of worn out felt. These roofs are supposed to be serviced yearly to prevent felt decay, but no one follows these rules (BTW this goes for any fucking sunroof). Use only manufacturer recommended synthetic sunroof lube after replacing/ fixing all felt. If it's not really jammed (as in you don't hear motor strain or clicking from the roof, and the roof is easy to move once the cable is disconnected, then the motor is likely out of time. I'm not sure which BMW 5-Series you are referring to, so I dunno how to time it.

He just want's to close the damn thing as it's only about an inch and a half open when it stops closing, so it's prolly just out of time. But then, why is it out of time? Something might be broke, but I'll know when I get it all opened up. I should be able to access the motor by removing the panel with the dome lights and switches only right? I'm not looking forward to removing the whole roof-liner because it has airbags in fucking everything, and those scare the shit outta me when working to close to them.
So, knowing the world, and how stupid we are; Has anyone ever made a Cubic-foot engine for a car before?
fiat made a 28.5L (a bit more than a cubic foot) 4-banger http://jalopnik.com/watch-a-28-5l-fiat-drive-for-the-first-time-in-a-centur-1694729361

In the E39 5-Series, you use the Z wrench in the toolkit to force close the roof through the removable service panel near the center rearview mirror. But if it's jammed, then the roof will not close regardless of what you do, and if you reef on the wrench, you will shatter the internals of the motor and not get anywhere. It should not be out of time if the timing has not been touched since factory. It's likely jammed. And the only way these roofs jam is via bad felt (once again this goes for all sunroofs). I say, fix it right the first time because BMWs already have horrible resale, and a broken roof makes things worse. [editline]20th May 2015[/editline] King me

I fucking love old racebeasts like that
So I have gotten 3/4 break drums done so far its slow going due to lack of tools and fighting every siezed bolt in the world. I just need to do the passenger side drum, hook up the front brake hoses, bleed the system, possibly replace rear cylinders(god I hope not),replace iddler pulley and belt and its all back on the road.
I treated my self today. Bought me and my stepdad new cordless drills... [t]http://www.homedepot.com/catalog/productImages/400/c7/c751e460-58f0-405e-8eed-a2ed15997670_400.jpg[/t] I bought 6 of them refirbished new in box for 50$ a peice. Retail New is 130$. I'm gonna sell the remaining 4 for 75$ and call the drill for me and my stepdad free. *Caution* They will rip your hand off when a drill bit gets bound up in a half inch piece of plate.
I don't know if any of them are 20V, but I bought myself a 20V Drill for Christmas this past Christmas and love it for work. Sucker can go through concrete and cinder like butter even without the hammer brush.
yeh they are the 20v's. I just need a impact gun to complete it. You cant stop one of thoes things.
For any Subaru owners here, I recently realized you can order custom badges based on interests so long as you own a Subaru (site requires a VIN for proof) https://www.badgeofownership.com/ They're free but took like a month to show up in the mail for me. Literally never see these around, and there's loads of subarus in western new york so I figure it's not common knowledge that you can order them [t]http://i.imgur.com/QaLzKYl.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/FcvdJK3.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/9G0ZObs.jpg[/t]

I love DeWalt's cordless drills, but am still partial to Bosch's corded drills and saw-zaws. Those things are unstoppable in our experience. Any drill that can be soaked in water, plugged in after a few minutes of drying, and run like a champ is a great tool to have on a job site for a plumber.

I remember /o/ found some south-western toyota dealer that was giving away free "names" for your "toyota" (didn't need to be a toyota) in the font that toyota uses on their badging. they're quite high quality too. Needless to say they got swamped.

They will send you a license plate frame for every 100k miles. For instance, you give them the vin and say your car has 230k miles on it, they send you a frame that says "Chrysler 200,000 Mile Club" etc... and it's free as well. I've destroyed a lot of Dewalts in my time , lemme tell ya - they don't survive an 80ft drop for shit, or survive getting repeatedly thrown at a conctete piling on purpose so that the company can buy a new one. They don't last long in either instance.
I'm sure that's great for the 3 chryslers out there that have gone over 200k.

Joking aside, I've never actually seen a Chrysler, old or newish, even get close to 200k without shitting the bed.

Cummins has a million mile club, you get a neat little badge for your grille and you can keep putting them on till you hit a million then you get a watch, hat, and badges for your truck
I just found the rims I'm gonna get myself when I become a millionaire! I think these will look very good on a moderately lowered Supra. Cheap parts make me :( Video was stolen from something sent to a friend so I don't have a good video of the outer being shit, I put like 7-8k on this tierod and it has a good 1/2" of play left/right on the tire... Looks like I'm buying another outer and hoping the inner isn't bad, yay for more alignments! Fuck that noise though, I'm not getting another alignment until I get the rear trailing arm bushings done because those things are totally dead. I'll have to scrounge the junkyard for some fresher rear upper control arms for free and do my radius rod bushings to make it worth it. [editline]21st May 2015[/editline] $5 tie rod specials were too strong.. The other side is stiff as new though.

my dads mazda 5 just hit 200k [editline]21st May 2015[/editline] but anyways, I bought a front bumper and leather steering wheel for the ol miata today, and was looking at a 61 ford falcon: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/cto/5006515802.html i love 60s compacts, and this thing got up to 30 mpg from what ive read.
