How much of the space is taken up? You could probably change the sockets or maybe seal a socket into the housing and instead run wires out of the back of it since the lens is removable so you don't need the big socket coming out of it. People make some crazy stuff work with limited space on Hondas, it looks like you have enough room to package anything you could want back there lol.
It looks like there's a lot of room, but the housings are all one piece. It's only the lens that comes off in the front. They dip back almost to the radiator support frame. Look directly southwest of the headlight there, and you'll see the assembly dangling. It's about 3" deep. There's a hole cut in the rad frame just above the intercooler silicone tubing if you look closely, the back end of it sits there. So it truly is in the way. I'm sure I could produce a smaller housing, but I've tried in the past, and it still took up too much space. If I had it my way, I'd go to no grill, Just some headlight bezels from a 1967 Dart, with an aluminum finish piece on the inside of each so you can't see the side of the headlight, and then the "Eat sleep race" intercooler.... or a black one. http://www.mishimoto.com/mishimoto-m-line-intercooler-all-gold.html but for now, I'm liking the idea of just working with the lamps. It'll all turn out good. The new intercooler will also be out of the way of the radiator a bit more, have less airspace for my turbo to fill, and hopefully a lower pressure drop out the other side. This one has a 4 psi pressure drop that I measured- which is a lot for my system that runs this low of boost. It also won't be a cheap piece of ebay Chinese junk... If anyone ever wondered why I found one of my Stefs stickers and put it on top, it's because on top of the intercooler is stamped "JDM SPORT"... you work with what you have.
I'm so glad there's a lot more Mopar love going around here. :') And a little hate... They go over 200K! I promise! My truck has 207K on it and runs awesome. My mother's 2006 T&C is at 220K, not even burning oil. I wish it would freaking stop raining. It's been raining for 12 days straight, rivers are flooding, businesses close because no one goes outside from the pouring rain, it sucks. It stopped for like 5 hours today so I went out and change the oil in my truck (Changed it 35K miles ago, oops) and my car. What also sucks is I'm trying to change out of the transmission filler tube o-ring, but I can't get it out. Trying to fix this issue:
Paul Knisely helped a reader whose W5A580 was making a vibration and low-frequency noise in drive, with the MDS activated between 18 and 50 mph. Four different dealerships had said that the system was working normally, and suggested driving in fourth gear to avoid overdrive. Paul checked the problem with Alldata DIY and found a diagnosis that the clutch in the torque converter was not holding — showing it was, but not actually holding. This would cause the vibration.
I have that vibrating, but I have no idea how I could possibly drain all 13qts of fluid from that thing. The oil pan and filter only hold 5qts. Plus I can't even get it out to change the o-ring!
Rained for 12 days? We need that in CA. We have a lot of bad business going on and we're in a "drought" so the governor mandated fines that will be imposed if you use too much water. All the rich people in LA continue to water huge lawns and accept the fine. That's effecting Northern CA because the desert down there lacks any real fresh water source, so it is sent down there from the middle of the state. It has also raised my rent, since water is included. It's gone nutso here. There's people turning in their neighbors to the city or police if they see them out washing their car or watering their lawn. The thing though, is that we get two years of a lot of rain, two years of "drought", two years lots of rain, two years off, etc... etc... so this is nothing new, but suddenly it's a huge problem. Personally, I know it's because the "new" population here is out of control, but no one's going to do anything about it, and some will know what I'm talking about. It has me literally thinking of moving back to Washington.
Thinking of old people wanting too much for old cars that Studebaker I went to look at that the guy destroyed and still wanted 5k for.It had a rusted frame, rusted body, rusted chrome and interior, nothing at all worked because it was either rusted or siezed, engine was siezed ,brakes were siezed. When I asked him if he bought it like that he said no and then showed me before pics,it was a damn show car before he got his hands on it.Wanna know how it got in that state he didnt like studebakers so he parked it in the worst spot in his yard on purpose and reduced a 30,000$ car to a 300$ car just because he didnt particularly like it.But of course he said if anyone offers under 5000$ or it he would tell them to get off his property.
How to hide in plain sight (police version) Be 3am. Find an intersection. Park on sidewalk at intersection. Black out.
I thought it was illegal for cops to black out completely. Every time I see a cop trying to hide, they have their marker lights on. [editline]24th May 2015[/editline] Sorry serj, I'll get on Forza tomorrow if you're on
I know a friend that found a blacked out cop in a position to catch speeders. He got up behind him turned his 4 ways on, got out of the truck and asked the officer "If roses are red. And vilots are blue, what would you do if I put light on you." Cop replied in a shocked kinda weirded out "Nothing" Friend puts a battery operated traffic cone yellow blinky thing on his roof. Drives off. > yellow blinking thing thrown in ditch. Welp I think he got mad.
So I've just finished my first spray job on the body of my car (thanks clutch, I finallllly did it. I'll post pics later) and it didn't occur to me at the time but like when I was shooting clear I was getting a shit tonne of overspray compared to my basecoat spraying. Is that normal? They were both shot out of the same HVLP gun within the recommended pressures on the tech sheets. And like I said I didn't even realise how much of an increase of overspray it was so please don't kill me paint masters of AA
I have one more question about this Jeep. It's gets 16 combined MPG, is that good/bad?
I have one more question about this Jeep. It's gets 16 combined MPG, is that good/bad?
It's bad, though you live in the US, gas is cheap as fuck anyway.
I have one more question about this Jeep. It's gets 16 combined MPG, is that good/bad?
That's kinda bad, not that bad for a truck though. Though it does depend on the driver and how economical they are

Makes my heart hurt.
It's bad, though you live in the US, gas is cheap as fuck anyway.
16 mpg isn't bad, it's just okay.
I have one more question about this Jeep. It's gets 16 combined MPG, is that good/bad?
It's average for a jeep style vehicle, unless you get a gutless I4 thing. Keep all the fluids fresh, tires aired up slightly beyond door PSI (if tires are rated to allow it) and you will get a bit better MPG.
I figure anything with a displacement larger than 4L that gets 16MPG+ is alright. My 5.2L truck gets 18MPG if you don't step on it. 16MPG normal.
I love that I can average 30mpg+, then whenever I feel like it, go WOT @8mpg, then cruise at speed limit to return the average back to 30mpg within a minute or two. PoS econoboxes ftw Even if it is slow as farkuad, it feels and sounds good.
I guess that's one thing I love about the 3.5L V6 is that it can have the low-range MPG WOT and it feels good with decent torque, but then I get on the interstate and can still get 22-25mpg while still having the ability to pass the pokeass in front of me who won't get out of the left lane. Usually get about 18 combined as a daily overall.
Apparently that guy was just hiding a bunch of other problems with the Jeep so I'm on the hunt again. But while I was looking, I found another Cherokee, 2000, 137k miles, 2" lift, new starter, new rear brakes. This guys asking $2500, and the MPG seems to be much better on this thing. It was clearly set-up for off-roading though as it's dirty as hell. My parents were concerned due to it being an offroading vehicle. [editline]24th May 2015[/editline] Strike that, he's asking $2000. He says the only problem is it needs a front axle u joint.
Dirty as hell Jeep 4x4 All of these go together. Asking 2000. I'd buy it.
You're definitely in the wrong part of the west coast :( http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/5033593097.html http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/5038293898.html http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/5021963972.html
Speaking of Celicas, somebody stop me from getting this. http://maine.craigslist.org/cto/5009580288.html I'll have enough money by August once my summer jobs start and classes end, and I don't think it's going anywhere. Dude's had it for sale for like 2 years now. However the Slaab still needs finishing and modifying and I don't have a Garage I could store it in for the winter.
I think I'm gonna start scouting craigslist in cities that I know people in. I'll pay them to look at stuff for me. :v:
dallas area / east texas / shreveport I will not scout on things in a sketchy area or sketchy ad. Even tho I do carry I just don't like being in that situation.
Can never go wrong with XJs, they are bulket proof and have a great aftermarket. My second vehicle was a 98 cherokee classic, it was the perfect size for an SUV to be and I'm 6'4. I'd love to buy another one, maybe i will! Gotta find one thats standard tho Front U joint is an easy fix, at the least you can drive it in 2wd until you can afford to fix it.

And it still goes like hell :v:
blagh, lexus is throwing VSC and check engine lights. I'm guessing they are related issues. hoping for a sensor issue or something minor
How did I never oil my cone filter... wtf is wrong with me. It's been sounding slightly muffled lately, so I'm cleaning and oiling it properly this time. It didn't look dirty, but it's blue now, instead of dark brownish purple, so I guess it's a good thing I decided to get cleaner and oil. Hopefully I haven't damaged anything by not oiling it before installing it 20k miles ago.
I fucking love 70's Celicas
It's unanimous. We all get 70s celicas. Screw the dart crew.
I'll stick to the 72 Challenger. Y'all can get your un-American vehicles.
But the celica is a Japanese mustang
an UN AMERICAN MUSTANG
