that's legit over priced. You'd have to give one of those away if you wanted it gone. I'd give him 200 dollars for it. Slayer, how is this dumb? The yugo is literally the worst car ever, and this guy wants one grand for one? You could get a shitty civic or even an old motorcycle for 1k that will be leagues more reliable than that shitheap. They're worth more as scrap metal than cars.
It's a running car in what looks like great shape, just because you wouldn't pay $1000 for it doesn't mean it's not worth it nor would someone not buy it. People totally trash, ruin and scrap cars because they don't see them as valuable. Now these cars no longer exist and will never again. Don't forget, this is a used car market. I could find you 100 cars in my area which are worse cars and most of those will be for far more than $1000.
You don't have to explain yourself to Mustang Sally. When has he ever kept a single car?
i dont get the refrence
The longest I've kept a vehicle is my 67 dart, since I was 16. Every other vehicle never makes it past 6 months, I've had 13 registered drivers, 33 cars total between flippers/fixers/drivers/parts cars and I'm only 19. Insurance has been changed 37 times I think

It's the car that has an engine that runs off balance if you take the spare tire out.
It'd be worth saving a Yugo simply because they're funny little cars with severe attitude problems but you'd be dumb to rely on it as a daily driver.
I don't think you know what a yugo is. It's the car that has an engine that runs off balance if you take the spare tire out.
I don't think you know what a yugo is, it's just a really cheaply made car from eastern europe. Cars of that period were pretty shitty to begin with, these were just some of the worst. It's still a far better car for $1000 than you can often find. If you spent a couple grand on it you could probably turn it into a collectors car pretty much. I've never seen one before and I'd probably bet that you haven't either, they don't seem to go for very much either and I can only find 1 other for sale on the west coast quickly checking. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Other-Makes-GV-GV-/181750355079?forcerrptr=true&hash=item2a512a5487&item=181750355079 Hell this seems pretty cool and it's the only other one on ebay even, BIN offer is pretty silly but he's obviously looking for offers on it and not a buy it now. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Other-Makes-GVL-/161714583185?forcerrptr=true&hash=item25a6f0b691&item=161714583185 Seems like it's primarily just an old Fiat anyways, if you think the motor is truly that bad that removing a spare tire would unbalance the engine then a older Fiat would have the same issues. Surely all Fiats should be scrapped too instead right?

It's certainly a fucking terrible car - designed by the Italians, improved by socialism, and built by a bunch of angry Serbians - but you got what you paid for; a cheap shitbox to get from point A to point B. I suspect that a lot of the Yugos reliability problems stem from people treating them like shit and never changing the oil and such.

You guys have all seen "Drowning Mona", correct?
I'd drive a Yugo. If it had an engine swap. How hilarious would it be to see a shitty Yugo, only to see it take off like a rocket sounding like a superbike hint hint
Anything I should be prepared for if I have to drive my 1993 Accord (that sat for nearly a year before being taken to a mechanic for an inspection/service recently) 2200 miles from New York to Wyoming, and possibly back 5 weeks later? Besides the fact that not factoring in regular HP loss over time, it'll be making around 90hp. So factoring in age and drivetrain loss probably like 60-70 at the wheels.
So I'm thinking about trading my Volvo in for an 06 or 07 Audi A4 and I know a couple of you guys are Audi fanatics. Any thoughts or recommendations?

Okay. [t]http://i.imgur.com/axwHXE7.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/M0LyYru.jpg[/t] The cowl is bigger than blown big block Chevy's.
I texted them about it for grins :v: edit: said it was stock when they bought it and they modded it. Makes more sense.

that 3 wheels POS from Russia
if the yugo isn't the worst car, then what is?
There is no such thing as the worst car, each car becomes an individual car once it is sold. While the Yugo may have been the worst car sold at the time or at least worst in most people's opinions. This Integra for instance looks like a terrible car, by far worse than that Yugo. He wanted $2500 for this and most likely sold it for twice as much as that Yugo. Someone however has decided that this is worth their money more than other cheaper nicer cars. The worst of something is subjective anyways, the Yugo definitely isn't a good car but don't forget it's not even meant to be. It was intended to be a cheap simple car but instead ended up a punching bag worse than the Ford Pinto. We're told stories of these things and stories get greatly exaggerated. Everything is subjective anyways, I'd rather buy that Yugo than buy a Chrysler Sebring or a PT Cruiser although the later would at least be minorly reliable being that it's a fat Neon. [editline]25th May 2015[/editline] [t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/ec/KIF_0001_reg.JPG[/t] The Reliant Robin is worse at being a car than a Yugo anyways.
Chevy Aveo.
All the compact, cheap, light, economy cars from that era were all ran into the ground anyways. Try finding a Chevette anywhere on the west coast, I found a single one in Las Vegas if you count that as west coast. http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/cto/5020633342.html Give it another 30 years, all of these cars will be entirely gone and you might be lucky to see survivor Civics still around at most because they made millions. It definitely seems like we're going to lose an entire generation of cars because it's sure as hell 100x easier to find a "classic" than anything from that era..
It's gonna be sad when all the Civics and Corollas of the 90's are toast and gone because they're not nice enough to be collectable or worth restoring. 90s Civics and CRXs are some of the most phenomenal commuter cars you can get... It's true when they say they don't make them like they used to, and probably never will again. Simple character. When my Corollabortion dies I don't know what I'm even going to look for as a replacement. Almost certainly nothing newer than '05 or so, because it's all junk that isn't fun to drive newer than that IMO (well, aside from expensive cars, BMW, 370z, etc). With any luck I'll live in a non-snow environment and could daily a Fairlady or something :>
Oh my, what have I started? :v:

Simple character.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-Civic-SI-/151692290081 I dunno, Si models are already fairly collectable and you'd be surprised by the Classic Honda scene already which has been trying to exclude the 88-90+ models for ages. Danny Carlson up in Seattle seems to be in it a good bit and runs NW Classic Honda. Those are all real 25-30+ year old classics. Lower trim cars though will probably just be torn apart and scavenged for parts like 4 doors are with "classic" cars. https://www.facebook.com/pages/NW-Classic-Honda/149266595145781 I'm more scared about the less desirable cars. The quirky, badly made cars of the late 70's and 80's could really never be seen again and many are already that way despite not even being that old. 30 years ago people were still fixing up, restoring and showing the same cars they are now. People have a really odd stigma against that era and almost wish it didn't exist.

It rivaled SUV's like the Ford Escape/Mazda Tribute in not knowing what gear to use and constantly switching. The only redeeming factor of it is the entire selling point of a Kia Soul, the stock sound system wasn't terrible.
I may have stumbled onto something with all this yugo talk. It seems that it's part of the liquidation of someone's collection in storage. http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/cto/5012653995.html There's a low mileage 300zx in there. It may be a scam, but I'm checking this out.
