Ohh man that Fury I linked has a CB radio in it, that's so 70s cool it's killing me. Really considering selling my car and a couple of guns and going for it.
I when I made my center console I mounted a cb radio on it, I just dont have an antenna or working handset. [editline]27th May 2015[/editline]
If you get a tune made, you don't need the advantage 3 software. The software is for if you're brave enough to try and make your own tune. It allows you to change things like timing, injector pulse width, etc. If you get someone to make a tune for you, all you need is a tuner.
Ah, I get it. Looks like mpt has a deal, 400 bucks for an x4 and 3 custom tunes. I'll probably do that, but it might be in a few more paychecks, because my phone is starting to shit the bed, and I also wanna get some of those heinous control arms.
Realistically, how much life is left in an Audi with over 200k miles? There's an Audi TT owned by a senior couple for 4k and they've been touring the US. It needs a new clutch master cylinder. http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/cto/5018233888.html Hell, what are your opinions on the TT in general?
Service history is key on anything that's gone far, especially an Audi. I'd also look into what usually fails around that mileage, and what you can do to prevent it. My engine is known for sludging up for instance, so having the new updated PCV is very important (which mine has)
Now that we're on a new page, can we not post so many beautiful NSX's? I'm running out of clean pants.
I agree. Let's post big beautiful sexy black crown Vic's DEM CUUUUUUUUUURVES

Lowering something like that is only taboo if you think it is. Sure, you say its too low, and maybe a part of you believes it, but if you found yourself alone with it, and it was willing, you would drive that thing like you'd never driven before. I know I sure would. I would feel dirty, but if something like that is dirty, I dont ever want to be clean.

I saw an older red 535i with white rims yesterday and it was gorgeous. [editline]27th May 2015[/editline]
I've always wanted a red car with white TE-37's. Sweet jesus you'd need a body length skid plate under there
My dad mentioned that my Eclipse had a bad headlight. I put off replacing it for 3 months, thinking it'd be hard, then it turned out to be easy, so I went out to do it and they both worked fine anyway. :downs:
those things bottom out over speed bumps enough... lowering it? Sweet jesus you'd need a body length skid plate under there
I think I remember reading that the police suspension is about an inch higher, although I dont have a civilian Vic to compare mine to I dont doubt it.ive taken it offroading a few times and it performed quite nicely. Only scraped the frame a couple times.
Purple power Ahahahaha Enjoy your forever etched everything. I think it's just TOO powerful to use in a shiney enginebay. Like seriously... If it touches aluminum. She's etched. And for good.
I've never had issues with it in an engine bay? I suppose it is fairly powerful so I'd probably use Simple Green or Dawn maybe. If you let Purple Power sit it does stain like hell. I wasn't going to use just purple power though, I figured use like 3/4 of the soap amount as normal car wash soap and like 1/4 purple power or something. Probably less than that really.
Depends on what you call a "foam lance". When I was in the fire department, I got to use a foam system. It has a cannister that screws on the end of the 2.5" jumper hose on the front of the truck, then has a hose with a nozzle coming out of the cannister. It's really great for car fires. Also, it shoots foam 100'-150'. If you mean something to wash cars? No.
Why? I use the hell out of the coin-op car washes to clean engine bays and it's super useful to clean out wheel wells or anything that isn't the paint on a car I care about the paint. I've seen people using it as their method to soap a car and then you get the wash rags out and give it a proper bucket wash still. It also seems like it would be super useful to wash down things like the front of a house or anything large really. I have two cars whose paint is pretty shitty anyways, I usually just run my Integra through the evil drive thru automatic car washes because my paint is terrible and the whole front end is wrecked from road rash so much that the bottom of my bumper is basically white. Oh and my drivers door was repaired in an accident so some shitty shop repainted the whole drivers side with terrible clear coat that's peeling in a spot that you shouldn't see clear coat peel. Nah, no lower than ~2" below stock height for me.

What do you guys think about driving cars that don't fit your status, like a 20 something student driving an old Lexus or Audi a6?
What do you guys think about driving cars that don't fit your status, like a 20 something student driving an old Lexus or Audi a6?
Not sure how cheap/expensive you're talking, but imo it doesn't matter if you earned them, and if you're parents just bought you an expensive car just don't be arrogant about it and I don't see the problem. Also imo if you are in your 20s you should be able to afford a decent car, unless you are paying a ton of bills on your own.
Can you afford repairs?
Guise.. remind me... who was it that had a raging hardon for VW buses but can never find any or parts in their area? Was it Ldesu or DPK? I legit don't remember. Either way, I was driving through Pulaski yesterday, and like every time I go there for work (once a year, maybe..), I remember I need to take a photo of this junk yard for you guys, but never do. Well, I still forgot to take a photo, but the guy has two completely full lots of three with the things just sitting there rotting away. And I don't mean one or two, but one or two hundred packed in tight like sardines. If they're a Mickey D's employee arguing for $15/hr minimum wage increases while they live on their own, they should have an affordable car. Which in our market, is generally older luxury cars since they've likely been maintained reasonably well, but have miles, and have age on them. Our market here in the states doesn't really discern from Audis, Lexus, Toyotas, Beamers, and Domestics much, unless you're talking about new. Otherwise, they're all reasonably affordable since $10k can get you a pretty good daily for the most part in most areas outside of ridiculously expensive cities or California as a whole.
What do you guys think about driving cars that don't fit your status, like a 20 something student driving an old Lexus or Audi a6?
It's awesome. If you can afford it, why not? I've got friends that drive E60 BMWs and mid-2000s A6s, my cousins both owned a BMW 740 before they turned 20. I myself drive a 2001 Saab 9-5, which is sort of a cheap luxury car.

So I thought of something on the way home and now I really want to see it made. A pickup truck, something bigger like a Ford F350 raised on an 6 or 8 wheel APC suspension frame with that kind of suspension where each wheel is on a bar that moves up and down from the center axis of the vehicle so it keeps a fairly flat ride while going over bumps and divots.
