Aww that sucks :( I hope insurance will cover it
I truly sad faced. And chuckled at the sad face on the tarp.

People love to pick on German cars, not really sure what the deal is. Some kids threw eggs at my dad's 550i.
class warfare
Not gonna lie, whenever I see a relatively recent model German luxury car, my first thought is "bet that guy's a rich asshole who never signals and cuts off everyone" because at least in this area it's true 95% of the time However, I would never ever throw eggs or smash a window.
About 90% of the people that are driving a recent german luxury car or suv here only use turn signals once they're halfway into another lane or cutting someone off. If light is faster than sound, then how come the BMW driver behind me honks before the light turns green?
I want a ls400 now. Do you think I could get a 5speed sc300 for my miata?

Holy jeezus. I hit up DipYourCar for an approximation of how much material I'd need to shoot a 12" wide stripe around a friend's camper in blue (need something quick and inexpensive to spruce it up/ cover up faded graphics) and they suggested 6 gallons of dip. That simple stripe is going to be a lot more expensive than expected.. maybe we'll just have to do vinyl, lol.

Haha why even make this ad? http://sfbay.craigslist.org/scz/cto/5046622171.html Honestly, I'm gonna email this guy saying "why did you even make this ad" Maybe I can get it for free.
I love 80's/90's graphics on cars. They're so happy looking.
Especially NASCAR graphics. Something about blocky letters and matte body paint that just fits with NASCAR where these sleeker cars now-days don't. Plus, all black with red interrior is mint.

[editline]28th May 2015[/editline] After cracking in august and leaking excessively only since yesterday, today I replaced this fucking radiator. The crack is common in S10s. Made a fucking mess on my garage floor due to a jack being MIA, but I made do. 2/10 would maybe do again if I was more prepared. [t]http://i.imgur.com/xxCwt8x.jpg[/t]
Crack is common on all plastic end caps. Buy all aluminum... not the parts house cheap shit.
Definitely bought a cheap one just to get through the next 2 or 3 years.. then if the vehicle still runs, I'll be happy. I should be at the junkyard in that time anyway. 20 years is plenty long enough for what this vehicle has had to endure
Eh, 20 years is still too early in a vehicles life. NOT MAINTAINED PROPERLY. In other news... I tinted my windows to the legal limit today. She purdy. I miss my dark windows. 15% on front, 5% on back, and a stright eyebrow.
A well-kept vehicle really ought to outlive its owner.
Well for the first 17 years of its life it had only oil changes done. So I got that going for me. Everything else replaced/fixed has factory original. Which is crazy. I just want a new Dart :|
My mom wanted to get me something since I graduated from my college program. I couldn't think of anything until I drove over to her place for dinner and remembered how shitty my windshield is (Scratched, pitted and a few crappily filled chips). So I guess I'm getting a windshield! I'll probably be able to see at night for once. New tint would be nice, since the rear is bubbly and the front ones are scratched... But I can put up with that for a few years until I can scrape together enough to make the monthly payments on a FiST/FoST somewhat affordable.
Why not buy regular paint?
Ah.. I don't really know, lol. Normal rustoleum, like everyone uses for roller paintjobs, would probably work pretty damn good, wouldn't it?? Good plan. Finally did it.
About shit myself today on the interstate. I was driving up towards the Chicago suburbs area when suddenly there's a huge boom. I notice I'm in the shoulder, no idea how I got there. Apparently I started to fall asleep or something and didn't notice, and I skimmed up on the concrete divider. I have never really had issues with falling asleep with driving, nor was I all that tired at the time, so I was absolutely terrified when it happened. Luckily there weren't any cars around, and even though I hit a concrete divider while going 80 MPH, the only damage done was a bit of a scuffed wheel. The alignment wasn't even messed up. I kinda just bounced off it and kept driving. So after that, if I ever feel even slightly sleepy while driving, I'm going to stop.
Silly question but wheel alignment is done by adjusting the suspension/control arm etc etc right? If I were to remove a wheel and put it back it wont mess it up right?
Removing your wheel won't mess your alignment unless you fuck up terribly. You're not going to fuck up terribly, are you onii-chan?
You're not going to mess up your alignment significantly unless you replace your tie rods which are what your alignment is adjusted with or unless you replace suspension parts that were bent and aligned to those. Otherwise while you could mess up the alignment a little by taking all of your suspension apart, unless you touch the steering rack it won't be of any significant amount that should warrant another alignment on a basic street car. This is for a Honda at least, some cars may have suspension components which may have adjustable camber and caster from factory.
How hard is it to adjust alignment myself on a big simple RWD BOF sedan? My car pulls ever so slightly to the right and it's really starting to bug me.
Alignments are pretty cheap and best done by professionals with their professional alignment machines imo
