Diesel Focus? Lol?
does... does anyone else hear that? It sounds like... an engine swap. DP find a diesel and lets do this shit.
Everything's correct here except holy crap, tiny diesels do not sound better than tiny gas powerplants
Fuck yes they do. Hearing that turbo whistle and the deep sound of the diesel engine. Not forgetting that lovely smell. Gas four bangers sounds like shit*. Horrible horrible bleeding inducing sound. *A few exception exist, but none of them are Honda's.
Diesel have more torque than similar sized engines. Torque = fun to drive around. Get a TDI Golf / Jetta, get rid of the emission stuff, get it tuned / open up the pump a bit. There you go, easy 280HP/400FTLB in a small hatch. While getting 3-4L/100km on the highway. Not forgetting sounding a bazillion times better than any gas four pots.
I too enjoy going to prison. Also, god damn can you seriously squeeze that much power out of those things?
I too enjoy going to prison. Also, god damn can you seriously squeeze that much power out of those things?
Prison? California? :v: And yes you can, diesel are incredibly easy to make power on. Just a bit of tweaking and you can really wake up a diesel. Take a cummins for example (As everyone knows cummins.) A bigger intake / going catless can net you easy gains of 100 hp / 200 ftpd on a simple Smarty JR tuner.

And I like the sound of turbos too, but I owe that to the turbo, not the diesel (duh) And there are some good-sounding 4-bangers out there. 4AGE for one.

More so the beesouding four bangers. Diesel sounds like something meant to be doing a job. Makes way more torque and does it smoothly. If anything my next car will be diesel, if not, it will be a V8.
Even taking the cat out makes the car unregisterable here in the states. It's the reason my truck is 3 months out of date. Some dickwagon before me took the cat out and ran a shorty exhaust right out the side. Normally my local mechanic would pass it if i paid extra, but recently my state updated the computers and the program for inspections. Long story short, they can't be manually passed anymore.

Yeah emissions laws exist, but nobody gives a shit or enforces them. Not much makes me happier than pulling up behind a Prius in my old Chevy truck and knowing that I blow out enough unburnt hydrocarbons in one green light to offset a whole year of environmental impact that that douche saved by settling for a gutless soulless shitbox.
Cover ALL the prii in soot! Choke on chlorofluorocarbons you hypermiling hippy!
Cover ALL the prii in soot! Choke on chlorofluorocarbons you hypermiling hippy!
Amen, smog brother.
I once witnessed a lifted Ford F-250SD with an aftermarket stack roll coal straight into the open windows of the BMW 6 series next to it at the light. The exhaust literally dumped at window level, straight out the side. I was torn between shaking my head at the F250 and laughing at the misfortune of the once-spotless BMW.

In Oregon you can register anything you want provided it's already registered/titled in Oregon. There's nothing to stop you from even vin tampering unless you try to register something out of state. All you gotta do is pay up your $86 for 2 years of tags and you're solid provided that your vehicle is insured. Sure there's a few safety regulations but as long as it doesn't endanger other motorists you're good pretty much.
I enjoy well breathing engines too but coal-rollers are the biggest assholes on the face of the planet.
So I might be able to get my hands on a 96 Acura TL3.2 It's got the C32A6 and I'm having dreams about swapping that to my Accord. It would not be easy as the intake mani is oriented the wrong way but it'd be a fun project for sure. Why take the engine from the TL and put it in the Accord? Because the TL has busted suspension bits and I only want the powertrain, along with all the wire harness bits and maybe some brake stuff if it'll fit. Besides, I know that engine will mount to my transmission and if I feel the need I can swap the whole nine yards over in a few days hopfully with minimal fabrication. (gonna research that)

For a diesel commuter I've always wanted a 1980s 2.3L turbodiesel Ford Ranger [editline]4th June 2015[/editline] They are impossible to find tho
Chrysler's 2.4L turbo sounds alright :downs:

It's secretly a bus, so you'll need a CDL.
What is the catch?
I don't even know. The ad is so scammy, but I want to believe~ Plot twist: It's talking about the blue truck in the background.
I enjoy well breathing engines too but coal-rollers are the biggest assholes on the face of the planet.
No no bicyclists are the biggest assholes. Coal rollers are somewhere around 3rd or 4th.
Cyclist -> priuses -> people with Hillary Clinton stickers -> coal rollers
there is literally nothing wrong with prius. I always thought the bicyclists being assholes was a meme until i came across a group riding in the middle of the fucking lane. And then had the nerve to flick me off as I honked at them. I should have fucking kicked them off. [sp2]since motorcycles are the master race of vehicle.[/sp2]
