Cyclists in my town wearing spandex and shit like they're biking the fucking tour de france
I have to laugh at half of these people, they dart through a red light without looking while I'm stopped on the line with my bike, and then the light goes green and I pass them half a block down usually carrying double their speed while in my work clothes with a backpack on my back on an aluminum hybrid. I think I'm the only cyclist in Philly that stops for the lights, but I also don't feel like throwing my life away like an idiot like I almost did when I drowned.:v: [editline]5th June 2015[/editline]
If cyclists want to be classed as road worthy, they need to get them registered. That means plates, inspections, and taxes. Same shit with these assholes who ride these Chinese scooters everywhere, they want to ride on the road but dont pay for it.
No good is going to come from that. I'm not paying taxes to ride my worthless shitheap bike on the road, I pay enough in car taxes for my Mercedes as it is.
Goodnight, sweet prince. before [t]http://i.imgur.com/II2SD0n.jpg[/t] After [t]http://i.imgur.com/YLQsImc.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/vQ4dIw6.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/DKnnUNE.jpg[/t] Got slammed at a stop by a guy going 45mph two weeks ago. They totaled my baby today. I got the car for about $10,000 and the cost to repair the damage done was about $9,000
Vtec sounds like shit imo. But hey, if you like it, economy to you.
That's hardly an economy car :v:

This is Oregon though, we don't do inspections and taxes fuck that noise. Our income and property taxes are among the highest in the nation for a reason. [editline]5th June 2015[/editline]
Cyclists in my town wearing spandex and shit like they're biking the fucking tour de france have given me excellent braking reflexes because they literally do not give a fuck. It's so obnoxious I've seen this particular lance armstrong wannabe looking motherfucker bike through an intersection while his side had a red light, almost get hit by an 18 wheeler and didn't even look back while the driver was laying on the air horn.
People who dress like this here dress like this usually because they are serious hardcore cyclists. I knew someone at my school who would ride up and over this road all the way down back through the forestry roads on a 90 mile loop back to town FOR FUN. This is my more favorite "local" road, I use it as a shakedown road to gauge what I've done to my cars. These cyclists are going faster than a "average person" who doesn't drive twisty roads often would. The downhill section behind where they started can be even more difficult because you ascend for 10 minutes or so then hit the downhill and it'll bite you because many corners are a lot tighter than they look going into it. If people dress up like this just to commute and look like a tool, they should get ran over. Real cyclists are crazy motherfuckers and I have the utmost respect for them. That doesn't mean that I don't hate the terrible cyclists which you usually encounter as a motorist.
It's really funnier when people try to make power from an exhaust without a tune and spend hundreds of dollars on something that just sounds like shit.
Also, asshats that purposely ride their cars over 3k RPM and cruise at that crank speed are tools.
Also, asshats that purposely ride their cars over 3k RPM and cruise at that crank speed are tools.
Shift... shift... just please shift. Ahhhh. Couldn't watch after 30 seconds.
Around here the Datsun 350/370z and whatever the Lexus version is are the biggest offenders for that sort of thing, of course paired with exhaust so loud it's probably 100% straight piped and sounds like shit. Like how can you even make your daily commute without getting a headache of massive proportions from the drone? Maybe that's why they're so prone to road rage.
Admittedly, I love cranking my car to 6k, but I do it accelerating and actually shift. Once I get to my cruise speed it goes into OD and hums along nearly noiseless because my exhaust system actually works. I hope he buys that car and it drops three cylinders on him in an hour if he drives like that wherever he goes.
My Soup cruises at 3.2k at 70 >.>
But at 35 it definitely doesn't.
I'm going to be converting my mustang to an IRS setup. Just picked this up for $300. Its an independent rear suspension from an 2000 SVT cobra. It should bolt into the frame of a fox.
Whew it doesn't end. Got off of work to check out my friend's Beretta to diagnose a misfire and after an hour or two of effing around we narrowed it down to the #5 injector not squirting. Pulled the intake and injector rail, and sure enough, no squirts on that one. Flipped 2 injector plugs, still no squirt. Gonna snag one at a boneyard tomorrow and get it all happy again. Something that came in handy finding the one cyl that was misfiring was a temp gun!! We ran the car and checked each exhaust port temp on the manifold.. all were like 250* after a few seconds of running, #5 was about 130*. Baddabing! Then I also noticed my passenger brake caliper was dragging so I snagged one on the way home and swapped that.. just waitin around for someone to get home so I can bleed that brake now. Fun times. OH! AND the pipe organ exhaust fell off yesterday. Hit a bump and then it was dragging, so now it's retired and I'm ordering some stainless to make a polished shiny takeyari pipe. I missed it too much.
Also, asshats that purposely ride their cars over 3k RPM and cruise at that crank speed are tools.
It probably has a stupid B16 trans too or something, otherwise it has the GSR trans which is the same trans I put in my car. I sit at 3000rpms at 61mph in 5th, it sucks.
No, you can listen to it. It shifts once at about 5k to second gear and then cruises (I guess 35-50ish?) in second at 4.5k. It has nothing to do with the auto tranny being real high gr.

Definitely a GSR trans, not short geared enough to be a B16/ITR. Definitely not an auto trans, we never got a automatic GSR in the states. When he's cruising around later in the video like 2:30+ that's 5th gear at 40mph. [editline]5th June 2015[/editline] The vtec SOHC Civic transmissions are shorter than the GSR too, so that makes Civics sound like total crap on top of that all the time. Our cars are geared absolutely short as hell, the B16/USDM Type-R is at 4.4k rpms at 80mph and the JDM Integra/Civic Type-R sits at 4.8k rpms at 80 :v: I really want the long 5th gear out of my old LS trans. Here's a little chart for the DOHC B series transmissions if you want an idea, dunno if it's accurate though since these calculations are infinitely debated due to so many different gears combinations used over the years. Trans..............RPM............ 1............. 2.......... 3............ 4.......... 5 GSR...............@4000......... 20.......... 33......... 47......... 61......... 81 US ITR...........@4000......... 20.......... 30......... 44......... 57......... 75 98+ JDMITR....@4000......... 18......... 28......... 40......... 56......... 74

You'll have to go on photobucket and expand this to full size to appreciate it, but I saw this today. It was a Wrecked Toyota (new rav4 maybe?) towing another wrecked rav4 with chains. The front one had no rear doors and had tarps in its place, the wheels on the toyota in tow were negative cambered so hard as well. Both looked like they got smashed on the left side. He was just flooring it barely doing 50.
I believe that bicycles do require some sort of public road training. Especially commuters. I have never had any problems with the hardcore ones that dress up in lycras and ride their $7000 bikes, if I see them I'll just slow down and they'll either give way if there is a road shoulder or I'll overtake when its clear. Leaving a good 1.5m of clearance between me and the bikes If there's only one he/she usually rides at 30-35kmh and if there's more the ride goes faster, its not that hard to slow down for a short while. They stop at red lights as they are supposed to and they go when its green. Commuters on the other hand are dickwads, running red lights and swaying left and right going on and off the road. Fuckers get complacent, get run over and start bitching about cars not noticing them and how "we're vulnerable oh noooooooo". Same thing happens in Malaysia with motorcyclists too. They're mostly dickwads who blame everything on drivers because "we're small and vunerable oh noooo". Its not the drivers fucking fault you fuckers don't ride on the road properly. There's one CCTV footage where a motorcycle attempted to overtake a car on the road shoulder, the car was slowing down and signaled to turn off the road. Long story short, the car turned off the road and the dickwads on the motorcycle who didn't even strap on their helmets got ran over by the car. Totally avoidable if the motorcyclist stayed on the road and slowed own with the car. The foorage went viral and the whole nation and there was literally a manhunt for the car.
one thing that bothers me about drivers when I'm on my bike is when they sit behind me, letting traffic build up behind me, when I am clearly behind the white line. Then people behind the shitty driver get pissed at me, just because the first in line wouldn't just drive past me. I don't give cyclists a ton of space when I pass them, front left tire on the double yellow, because they don't need more than that. Its always an eye roller when a driver stays behind me going 15 mph, then cut completely into the on coming lane, flooring it on their way past. Its not a big deal, just drive past, leave about a foot of space. [editline]6th June 2015[/editline] And when it comes to traffic laws, a bike should act like a car, stop at red lights (fucking duh, asking to die if you don't) stop at stop signs, use turn signals always. And always go with the flow of traffic. Thats one thing that pisses me off about people on bikes, I see people riding up the street the wrong way all the time around here, its retarded. My dad always said, "there's cyclists, and then there's people on bikes"
Ordered some tires, realized the hankooks i found were too small so I got some BFG Radial BabyBoomers.
In VA, you're required to give 3 feet when passing bikes. Generally speaking, that means being half-way into the next lane to pass them since our shoulders are usually none-existent. So bikes become a real headache here during rush hour traffic in the mornings when they decide they must go for a ride on the busy two lane roads that serve as cut-arounds for larger roads.
Here you should pass bicycles like any other vehicle, so both wheels in the other lane.
Oddly enough I have never had an issue with horses sharing the road ,maybe its because horses seem to be a bit more inteligent than the problem cyclists and pedestrians.
My Soup cruises at 3.2k at 70 >.>
At 80mph my car is burbling along at only 1900 rpm. I'm really starting to like this tall gearing. I went to work and back yesterday in second gear because why not. At 40mph in second it's doing 1950 rpm. This car only needs one gear for daily commuting.
My car could definitely use a sixth, taller gear. I can generally cruise around town in 4th at about 1.5k with enough torque to accelerate between 35 and 45 since that's the speeds our town likes the most. 5th is a fairly shallow OD, though. I cruise 76 to 78 on longer trips right at 2.5k which is annoying. 3rd I guess I use the most for daily commutes along 35 areas and it usually rides along at 1.8k without too much of an annoyance. Course, my car is dead quiet when driving until you get to about 3k, then the exhaust seems to say it's time to actually sound like a car again. No one's allowed to bitch about the gearing in their transmissions. Mine has 3. The transmission starts from a stop in 2nd, then goes to 3rd at about 25mph, then you have 3rd all the way till you run out of revs. You have to manually select 1, the transmission doesn't use it in drive. I'm putting in a more robust transmission when I swap the motor, but I'm not sure which one yet, and likely getting an 8 1/4 for the rear with 3.23s You have to change the rear end to make it do anything different.

It's usually a 2 speed if I don't have Torque running and connected. Why Hyundai why The first thing I want when I have a stable income is everything I need to do a M5AF3 5-speed swap.
I'm allowed to bitch about the transmission in my cars, Serj. I bought a car in the modern age expecting it to actually ride on the highway kinda comfortably for my wallet. Not a car built in an age where the max speed was 55 on three roads in the world. :v:
I'm not sure if I just dont understand the second hand car market, or if there is something fishy.. Can anyone explain why Mazda RX8 seem to go so cheap? Granted they are about 10 years old and rotaries generally cost more to maintain but I have seen them go for as low as £1.5k Is there anything dodgy about these cars?
