Is it possible to get rid of shallow scratches without painting?
Is it possible to get rid of shallow scratches without painting?
if you can't see the filler in the scratch, yes
I'm not sure, here's a pic of the most recent scratches: [t]http://i.imgur.com/cOklln8.jpg[/t] Rubbing it makes it seem like it's sort of going away.
They are. And powered by petrol engines.
I really can't find anything here, I'd like to agree with you, but at the same time I can't find anything but an ix, seems like some place call it an xd, but nowhere official and not alot of it. but indeed its an awd bmw.
What year? Aren't iX's all wheel drive?
it's a 2003 E46
Small scratches are usually just visible because the paint on whatever scraped onto it has gotten stuck in your paint. My suggestion is to just wash it properly, then keep on with rubbing. Whatever doesn't go away might have to get painted
On a scale of are-you-high to 10, how much would you recommend a Rustoleum paint job if I'm a poor college student that can't afford a decent paint job for his really shitty looking paint otherwise?
ZERO ZERO ZERO FUCKING ZERO [t]http://sfcitizen.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/how-about-no-bear.jpg[/t] My Mercedes was painted with rustoleum before I bought it, and I fucking hate the paint. It looks like ass if you aren't out there cleaning it daily. (User was banned for this post ("image macro" - Orkel))
You finish the front bumper yet?
Sadly not. I need to find a cheap brush guard and use the top half of it. I haven't even got started on my rear bumper!!!!

I'm a little late but why the fuck would you water cool an alternator? Is ~200f water cooler than the air it normally fans through? I highly doubt it. It's been fine for 60 years, its a proven tech. All water cooling does is make shit more expensive and complicated.

[T]http://i.imgur.com/5tSB9QVh.jpg[/t] Better question: Which looks worse, this or Rustoleum?
Time for one of my not so ofter posts. Was at a corvette meeting last weekend and saw some nice cars. I did not take so many pictures but this was a few of the cars that where there. It was around 130 when it was full And someone had a brand new corvette. It was corvettes from the 50s to present so it was pretty cool.
I hate it when the one selling communicates like shit. I've been trying to make an appointment to pick up my car for three weeks now..
Anyone play GRID2? Its on sale for $8. I loved GRID, but havent heard much about GRID2
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GRID 2 WAS TERRIBLE DONT TOUCH IT
Well, I'm the second person I know of to have axle problems with the Gen I chargers. Yay. My front boot is torn and needs to be replaced when I get back from vacation next week. Good thing I'm not driving 1k miles or anything. Wait, shit.
[T]http://i.imgur.com/5tSB9QVh.jpg[/t] Better question: Which looks worse, this or Rustoleum?
It entirely depends on the amount of prep work you put in.

Generally water/mud inside isn't an issue and if you do see low charging voltage you can just give it a good rinse when its cold and then let it dry. Actually had my battery die due to this once (while driving) luckily rinsing the alt worked fine and it sits at 14v again.
GRID 2 was okay. I'm waiting for Dirt Rally to pop up on this sale. [editline]11th June 2015[/editline] It's 25% off now, but I'm going to hold out.
CARS is on sale too
If you need to buy a new set of tyres every year, there's something wrong with you.
I'm lucky to get 6 months out of mine. gravel roads wear down tires real quick
damn guys, my tires usually last at least two years. And thats with regular gravel driving, and plenty of snow/rain cookies/burnouts
The rear tire on my motorcycle didn't even last 4 months. If you like not buying tires constantly, dont buy a motorcycle. Even hard compound tires for bikes are a lot softer than regular car tires.
damn guys, my tires usually last at least two years. And thats with regular gravel driving, and plenty of snow/rain cookies/burnouts
I'm on my 4th and a half set of tires on my Integra in just roughly 55k miles. I went through two and a half sets of Dunlop Direzza DZ101's a set of Eagle GT's as well as ruining a set of Goodyear Tri-Assurances. Now it's on a set of Goodyear Eagle Sports. The Civic is continuing my habit of ruining tires as after 9k miles the Nanking tires that two were brand new and two were newer are down to the wear bars on the insides. I murder tires and I don't even do proper burnouts anymore.
Damn. I don't even do rotations on my work truck's all-terrains until 15k, and so far on this set I've put 20k on them with no real signs of wear. They seem to be holding up in rain and drive on dirt/gravel roads almost daily. First set of tires on an E-150 that actually made the truck driveable in freezing rain/sleet/snowy conditions this winter, and I never spun the tires or got sideways in it once.
