And no I do not believe in god.
And I do respect other people's believes.
Deal with it.
Nope, how can anyone believe in gods? Religions and the gods in them has been the cause of countless genocides and wars, it impedes our progress as a whole race, the dark ages help us back by a THOUSAND FUCKING YEARS. Religion causes people to hate each other more, the bad outweighs the good so much that the good in it isn't even worth mentioning, it's so pathetic.

Lmao I'm not even addressing this idiotic post.
I believe in a god.
The deistic god, I believe he is a nerd still nerd-gasming over the universe he made inside his computer, so yes, I believe this entire universe is just a simulation*, and "God"(who I refer to as "Frank" from now on), just invites his friend over from time to time to laugh at extremist atheists like the OP here.
Everything before the "*" I believe.
I believe in the "god". But not in any religious sense. My beliefs only agree that 'something' created the universe, and that is "god". I don't care or know if it's sentient, alive, organic, metal, or just physics doing it's thing with some unknown property or particle. I just use the label "god" to define the cause of this universe.
The arguments keep going round and round.
No one side has any more proof than the other.
People thank God for their virtues
People blame God for their misfortunes.
It all depends on how your life lives, your family virtues, and if you read the bible or not.
All are major factors in the larger equation
No but it does make me rage that millions of people believe in something that doesn't exist nor show any proof of existence. And they rationalize as much as possible to keep believing in the faith they were born into. So hard for religious people to accept the truth. No god. Get over it. I was Christian once now I became free from hell.
So many Christians crash and explode in arguments. Went from GOD IS UP THERE to *silence*. Because they know they are wrong. SORRY IF YOUR MAD AT ME. LOL
You can't disprove god either.

My belief is similar to NorthernGate's.
People who shit on other people's beliefs are condescending dickweeds, no exceptions.
There is no hard proof either way. Let people believe what they want as long as they don't shove it in your face.
How do you prove a negative?

why do you say that like it's a bad thing to argue

Now this is just stupid. Where do you get your numbers from? What are your sources?

That is a wildly misleading use of the word god.
What if we are our own gods? Oops blasphemy

I'm pretty sure this is how most religions actually look at god. And this is pretty much how I look at god.

You can't prove and you can't disprove god - So does it really matter wether god exists or not in the end?
For those wondering why god let's people die if he would exist.
Think about this, how many times have you removed the ladder from swimming pools in sims and why?
That's right because it's funny.
Not saying that death is funny but it could be funny from the eyes of an all powerful being.

So god thinks killing people is funny...

Holy crap, you're right. I love killing people in Sims aswell! :buddy:

Perhaps we shouldn't be gods :v:
I do not believe in God, or do I say he's not real. Like George Carlin said "He just doesn't give a fuck" and he probably doesn't.
Also religion hasn't been the reason for war, it's been the excuse. Use something personal to start a war and everyone is willing to fight. Like a spark to a oil drenched house, it will all go up in flames.
I do understand that people want to believe in their imaginary invisible men with beards, but why? Why do you believe in such a weird story? It buggers me so much, how do you have that childish imaginary? Please try to explain.
Imagine it as a childrends book, there's a man made out of wood, when he lies he's nose grows, but if you don't believe in him, you'll go to the place where all the evil rock men are, and they will torture you forever!
I hope you get my point.
God is not a bearded old man who lives in the sky, God is the representation of good morals and sittlichkeit. In short God is the representation of everything that is good,
But here's the tricky part
If i ask you what is "good" and then ask an other person the answers will be completely different. You know why? Because opinions are based on beliefs, morals and sittlichkeit.
but since everyone has different morals and beliefs god is the representation of ones beliefs. If you read through this thread people call God "Evil", "Good" a "bearded old man who lives in the sky", an "ultimate being". God can be whatever the person believes him to be. That's why there are different religions.
It's just groups of people with different beliefs and morals.
God is the representation of everything that is "good"
But what is "Good"? That's up to the person to decide himself.
And opinions are based on beliefs and morals.
It's an endless circle.

''He doesn't live among the skies?''
I believe in him as a higher entity, not a personality.
I do, but if someone doesn't, I'm totally cool with it (so long as they aren't a dick about it: "SO YEAH I'M LIKE 13 AND I'M AN ATHIEST I'M SO EDGY. OH YOU BELIEVE IN GOD? LOL WHAT A STUPID NEANDERTHAL FAGGOT." or "OH YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN GOD? ENJOY BURNING IN HELL YOU FAGGOT FAGGY ASS FAG-ENABELING FAGGOT, YOU.")
Wait wait wait, back up; is this guy claiming he doesn't believe in anything so hard that he's not even an athiest?
Lets time how long it takes before he pulls the "lol i troll u" card.
i dun believ in anything all atheists and theists are faguts fuk da police smoke w33d 4 lief
~~2 edgy 4 u~~
Honestly OP, what were you thinking? You can't legitimately be stupid enough to think Facepunch can handle religious debates in a rational fashion.
Why should we care either way?
Live your life and die, don't question or care if there is an all powerful entity or not. There will never be an answer or proof anyway, EVER.
Both sides are full of shit and idiots anyway, so shut up.
no i dont belive in god
I also hate all these religious nutjobs swearing that god is real. They believe something is controlling their lifes, that there is no evidence that it exists.
Religion is one of the biggest flaws in mankind. It has caused countless wars, held us back by nearly 1000 years and countless other things that have happened
Who cares, People can believe whatever they want as long as they don't push their beliefs on others or hurt people.
Yes.
Yes, I do. I understand where Atheists come from though. The world is a pretty nasty place, and it's easy for many just disregard the off chance that there might be a god. To be quite frank, for a while I did too, until personal evidence proved me wrong. I'll just leave it at that.
God no. Flying Spaghetti Monster yes.
I believe in God in the sense I believe in a higher entity, being whatever form it takes. This said, I picture it to be a giant bearded man who lives in the sky. :v:
I think the Norsemen had the best view on gods. Instead of eternal happiness when you die, you prepare for the inevitable, unbeatable universal war of good and evil. Also they have cool names.
God spelled backwards is Dog :buddy:
See, it's proof! Only a divine being could create a word that spells another word backwards.
