I ROFL'd because of your answer. Clone =/= Twin. Ever heard of DNA?
SHIT, NINJA'D!
Cloning is like pissing in a sea of piss.
Cloning humans is illegal.
Would it be considered gay if you cloned you're self to suck you off?
technically it would be masturbation.
Heeey and here comes one of the many examples I was talking about.
Hypocrite.
Look who's butthurt now?
Just because it is illegal doesn't mean people are going to stop trying.
I bet right now somewhere someone is doing shit like this and once it becomes legal so much information is going to be released at once people are going to be going like "What the fuck."
I mean if we have the technology we should use it.

You?
Here we go again...

What if the clone ended war and united the planet?
OP (and a few people ITT) has no idea what a clone or cloning is. If you had a clone of you, it would not pop out of some big tube or something, with all your memories and traits.
Cloning starts out as an egg, which then becomes a fetus and so on, it doesn't age faster until it comes out of the "tube" or whatever some people think happens. Some clones of cats even had completely different patterns of stripes and facial structures than their original.
All you're doing is copying the genes. And to add to this, clones die extremely prematurely pretty often. It's not like you could use your clone to help your skip school or something, they are two seperate people, and most probably two different ages.
I came back to this thread to rate you dumb.
until they can clone porn stars, im not impressed
What the thread title says, I wish I had a clone.
The possobilities of having a clone are endless, think about all the cool things we would be able to do. Like for instance:
-I wouldn' have to go to school every day, I would just switch back to back with my clone and get a free day off every week, the same for work.
-I could litteraly be at both places at once doing whatever I want whenever I want.
-I'd have a scientific phenomeno as my best friend. He'd like everything I like. We'd eat Ice cream together for ever.
-We could pretend one of us had recessive genes and long blondE hair and go "BRRROTHERRR" all the time.
Maybe we could rob a bank together and then if one of us dies the other could get away scott free and everyone will think that "It can't be the same guy, the man's
dead".
Man, and think of the possibilities of having an army of you, all with the same knowledge you have. And if you were a war veteran of the highest caliber training and battle knowledge. You'd be unstopable.
And you could play chess with yourself and shit I guess.

ITT: Wow I didn't know people would get butthurt this easily :smug:
You're a moron, if the clone is anything like you, or anyone's clone is anything like them, it'll just fuck them over and decide that IT is the original, not you. One day, you'll be the clone, not him/her.
Cloning isn't essential, a waste of time, and oh god there would be to many problems if it somehow were to take off into public.
OP is stupid. First of all, the clone wouldn't be your same age, it would grow slowly, from an embryo, like normal cloned animals.
Second, it would be a different person, who just happened to look like you. Why do you think twins can have totally different likes and dislikes? Because they are two separate people. Wow.
Cloning of humans would be a very wasteful use. In a world like ours, where the number of humans is outgrowing the number of resources, cloning more of us would only make things worse for both the clones and us. Indeed, being able to clone a human IS a scientific and medical achievement, but other than that, and some studies, it has no practical use.
can we clone people and then have them donate their organs?
This was a movie, called "The Island" I think.
can we clone people and then have them donate their organs?
So you suggest that we create a living, breathing human being, kill it, and then give its organs to those in need? The end result is many outraged people, and a soon to be closed project.

The idea is decent though creating a full human is not necessary for harvesting important organs, a host organism with a human organ that grows in addition to the main body would be more efficient and less likely to cause a controversy. The end result of such a project may be a creature resembling the strogg processing creature in quake 4(with no metal claws or and no brain/head).

Indeed, it is far more efficient. In-fact, I believe they are, if not already, working on such processes. It takes less work, and less resources than cloning a full human being.
I want to clone my hand, i want more hands to do my shit.
brb grafting a hand to my crotch
We can clone the stupidest person of the world, and there you go infinte cheap work hands for gadget factories. Prepare to see iphone sold for 150$.

Can't we just allow stem cell research and make everyone happy?
