Tokyo, and take me with you.
fuck michigan and dakota's
The Black Hills are one of my favorite places, but the other 3/4 of the dakotas are flat and shitty
Go to West Point, New York
Yeah come to New Zealand! We can go island hopping and yell at 'strayans from Mt. Doom. Or go to Taiwan. It's basically China but the cheap electronics are actually legit and the government is decent.
Italy, and if you have the chance, go to the Dolomiti area in the north-eastern parts. I've been there twice and it's an amazing place that you'll never forget. Here are 3 of my photos from the Dolomites DSC_4804 by Olle.S, on Flickr DSC_5081 by Olle.S, on Flickr DSC_4381 by Olle.S, on Flickr However, most mountain paths are above 2km (1.24 miles) and quite steep. So if you go there, you ought to go prepared with boots and whatnot.
Wow, that looks incredible, I would love to visit some place like that. Truly some beautiful pictures you took man, thanks for sharing.
If you are into world war two I would suggest Volgograd, modern day Stalingrad. Supposedly in the 90's the fortifications from the siege still left their marks on the land, and people have said that near the town of Peschanka there were still bones as far as the eye could see, with one account measuring the field 30 miles wide and 20 miles deep. I'm curious what the surrounding countryside is like now.
If I was in your postion I would go visit Ukraine for a few days and visit Pripyat if you can get a few days (I can't imagine you would want to stay for a week just for it)
We go to North Cyprus every year because it's so politically interesting and untouched. It's a lot different to the south which has been built up so much. Parts of the north are completely untouched with really old buildings and Roman ruins, like the ancient city of Salamis in Gazimağusa. Despite this, there are some downfalls - a lot of the north is home to huge military bases, a fair amount of unfinished buildings and massive Russian 'hotels' which are though to be used purely for money laundering. It's definitely an experience of the middle east and everyone is extremely nice and the country is beautiful. We fly via Turkey since you can't fly to the north of the island direct although we have flown to the south once and gone north through the DMZ. Oh and it's cheap - no Euros! Here's some picture of Salamis - when it was explored by Europeans they knocked the heads off the statues apparently, which is a shame. Don't miss out SEA. I fucking loved Cambodia and Thailand (Vietnam didn't do much for me, however it does have some Cool Vietnam war stuff). Cambodia has the history of the Khmer Rouge, and some of the nicest people i've ever met, and Thailand has a fascinating culture and lives up to nickname, "The land of smiles". Both of them a beautiful (Figuratively and literally) countries, can't wait to go back.
Wherever you go, don't go to Vietnam. You'll have lung cancer after a week here. But if you do, be sure to take pictures of roads full of helmets and motorbikes [t]http://0.tqn.com/d/create/1/0/5/v/6/-/motorbikes-in-vietnam.jpg[/t] :v:
This would be me in Vietnam

Come to Toronto, spends some time in our museums, our giant needle that's taller than anything else in the Americas, our castle, parks, beaches, malls, heritage sites, and then catch a ride down to Niagara Falls and see one of the natural wonders of the world. Then go take a drive through the back country by the Niagara Escarpment, then head up north through the Canadian Shield and see our beautiful forests and rock formations. And if you still have the time, take a canoe trip through Algonquin Park, it's absolutely beautiful. come to sardinia, i took a quick photo from my house [t]http://imgur.com/IEVlgsT.jpg[/t] the sea is crystal, the weather is perfect, you get hot and sunny days with the northwest wind and the food is delicious.
You should go to Ireland if you have some family out there that know the area. Its beautiful there is awesome cliffs and old castles.
Poland. No, seriously. Amazing food and interesting culture also really friendly people compared to places like UK or USA. People are especially friendly to foreigners and there is a lot of nice cities with great old themed buildings from the world wars. I'd recommend either Warsaw or Krakow, but then I don't know if your air line has flights there at all or not. Atleast that's what I've heard from everyone that I know that visited poland. I have a different feeling about it but I'm from there so. If not that, then Scotland. Amazing land scapes, and like someone said - get a camera and take pictures. Seriously.
You should visit the Czech republic, too. Even though the prices in Prague and in it's surrounding area are 2-3 times higher than anywhere else, I think it's worth it. I was to our capital city three or four times, and I enjoyed it every single time. You can go sightseeing for hours, and people over here usually are used to tourists. It's not just Prague, though. The rest is nice, too. We have a lot of castles and château's over here that belong to the state and are therefore open to tourists. I dare to say our hiking paths are one of the best in Europe. You can't get lost, they're well built and maintained. There's some unique Czech food, too. [sp]you can also drink slivovica and/or some good Czech beer[/sp] why is editing broken

How are the average living standards there?
It's been mentioned, but you should go to Nepal. My friend said that when he was there, you could look up to the sky, and all you would be able to see were the Himalayas. It sounds breath taking, I really hope to be able to go there my self one day.
OP you a mile high baby?
If you go to China be sure to stop in Shenzhen. Literally 90% of stuff that was made in China was made there, you can get decent DSLRs for like $300 and fake (but virtually identical to the real thing) Beats and Ray Bans for about $30.

Come to Oregon it is very green here
It's costly on it's own, but if you have the chance to travel there for free you should really book a tour around the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone and Pripyat. There's nothing quite like it anywhere else. Or you could come down here to Argentina and do traditional things like eat cow guts and get mugged [editline]29th July 2013[/editline] Also I can't believe none of these tsundere baka gaijins have suggested a trip to Japan during the spring either. The countryside is beautiful and some of the cities are nerd heaven.
Come to Oregon it is very green here
Don't you guys have a rainforest even?
