I just jailbroke my iPod and I have Cydia installed. But its not untethered, so I followed directions on how to do so, but the link apparently isn't showing up on my iPod. A different one, called: Repo666 installed instead. Googled it and some folks said that they got rid of it and that its ancient? (meant for unlocking) i went ahead and tried it but it failed (told me that it was unsafe) and restarted my iPod. So, i deleted it. But then i tried to download the same link mentioned earlier and still nothing..
after reloading it would tell me RESTART SPRINGBOARD. When I hit Restart Springboard it will start reloading for a little bit and the iPod automatically goes back to the iPod menu.
It won't just complete the unlocking process anytime I get to that stage (Repo666-Modify-Confirm).
Is there any other way I can get it untethered at this point?

4th gen 6.1.6. it can't go any higher, which sucks because all the 6 tweaks, themes, etc are so outdated and since evasi0n has jailbroken the 7, everyone is using that one. There are still some nice tweaks left but still :\
also, theres only 1 way to freaking untether the 6.1.6 and its not really working. My iPod went into safe mode 3 times. Im not really stressing this though because its been working. Just can't get it to untether.

I skipped class all the time in med school and I still turned out to be a top student :v: one or two missed classes won't do any real harm especially during the last gasp of the year.
