The thing is a lot of people don't actually think about what the media/ other people say, and just instantly believe anything related to their current bias, while dismissing anything against them as lies and scams (i.e. : The average middle class Egyptian sees General ElSisi as this holy savior of the revolution, if you try to argue about it with him/her using valid debate points, he/she would still ignore any reasoning and just label you as an ignorant traitor who doesn't want the country to be stable)
Forming your own opinion is when you listen to both sides of an argument and try to ask yourself why it could be true/false, without letting emotion or anyone else affect the judgement.
You opinion then could still be wrong, but it is still yours.

So I'm working alone in the department, some girls come in and ask for an order they placed, 200 burger rolls, aka 33 packs. We have none left, I've never been told this.
So I bring it up with the store manager, he gets fucking [B]FURIOUS[/B] although he doesn't rage or anything infront of the customers, we scavenge them off the shelves and he gives all of them for free for the inconvenience. Basically the manager was trying not to blow up and I was trying not to laugh at him :v:

We have a supermarket around here that basically gives everything away. I had purchased some blueberries a while ago, and the bottom layer happened to be moldy - not really a big deal. So I went to return them and the customer service people were freaking out over the whole thing. They tried to provide me with two replacement containers of blueberries AND double my money back. Just exchange the product with a new one and we'll call it day.
I've had them do something similar with deli meats / cheeses too. They didn't have exactly what I was looking for, so they tried to give me a bunch of free 'equivalent' products to try out. I was kinda like yeah that's not really necessary, I'll still pay for whatever you're going to give me. It's just amazing how far some companies will go to provide 'excellent' customer service.

Back when I worked at Walmart, on Black Friday I was assigned to a line for laptops. Decided I'd go through the line to count everyone (since we only had so many) and marked hands. Somehow some people must've snuck into the line and got ahead of others that I knew were there first. So since I knew those people that didn't get their laptops [i]were[/i] there first and got cheated, I told them to wait and went to find one of the managers. Saw one skid of other laptops still had some left, so I concocted a little plan.
See, Walmart managers are notorious for being giant dickheads to the employees, right? Well I told him about the situation, not fully, took him back to the line (told the people waiting ahead of time to make sure they show their anger) and let them rip him a new one before he could go straight to the blaming me part. Like 5-6 of them ended up getting more expensive laptops for the price of the one they were originally in line for.
The next night during our pre-shift meeting, he made a point while reading off sales stats that I lost them like a thousand bucks from that in front of everyone, so I gave him a big smile and said "Well [i]they[/i] were pretty happy with me for keeping a promise that Walmart itself wouldn't have kept." He threw back a big, fake smile and continued.
Seriously, those people were all kinds of in love with me for seeing them through.
