If you eat anything with a lot of fiber or eat any vegetables before sleeping, you'll usually be able to enter a lucid dream state.

I have them so bad at points that I "wake up" and walk around my house, eat food, goto my room and turn on my computer and have nothing come up and go, "what the fuck man" and then I actually wake up.
If it wasn't for the fact that I have started to realize that chocolate doughnuts in my dreams taste like grandma apples, I probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference really.
