Turns out OVB's suggestion of sending an email out to North Dakota Game and Fish was a really good idea! The report of increased sturgeon activity in this area has started to get some wardens in the area to start checking out the health of the local species, as well as the report of the snag line actually turned out to be a big deal. One of the local wardens went to the area of where I found the first one, and managed to find a few more, and set up a sting operation which busted a few people who were snag lining multiple species of fish.

Even the growers say that it's hard to time it just right for harvesting, avocado's kind of a hard nut to deal with in that regard.
