If it's chemical imbalance, you need to change your diet or attack the problem via medication. Most importantly you need to get a physical checkup, and talk to your current doctor about the depression you are feeling. It could be something as simple as you needing a certain vitamin and at worse requiring a psych evaluation for better diagnosis of the problem.
