As a member of the more judicial side of Fearless, I have recently found myself in a tangle regarding a recent string of violence in Fearless that has "started" a clan war. Normally I tend to stay out of most clan affairs outside of say lawsuits akin to Estleback v. Ministry of Peace, but this case has put a little bit of sparkles in my eye as it appears that none of the proper clan procedures were followed by the aggressors of the conflict. Namely, Shayetet 13 and United Defense Agency.
The current standing traditions of the Fearless RP clan world regarding how to start clan wars have been something very shaky in the clan world, but none-the-less, people are expected to follow the procedures and to start a Clan War under good terms. For those of us who are not informed about the clan rules... Let me bring you up to date.

7 - If one of your clan members has been hostaged, do not act as if you don't care, attempt to rescue him/her, diplomatically or otherwise.
8 - Clan wars are strictly IC. The hostility ends there, any flaming or arguing OOC will result in punishment and/or closing of both clans.
9 - If a war can be ended peacefully, then do so.[/quote]
Rule number ten has been left out, as that rule is more about policies and activities that take place during a conflict that has already started. We are more interested about the activities that are generally suppose to take place before the conflict goes hot. In regards to this conflict namely, we'll be paying attention to rule numbers: One, Two, Three, Six, Eight, and Nine.
Each of these rules appear to have been ignored or broken in the pretext to why this conflict was started. It is because of this that I find it within my powers as a lawyer to request a ceasefire for further investigation to be given. Before this ceasefire request is met, I'll first disclose why exactly I believe these rules have been broken below...
[B]Rule 1[/B] - The drums of war were sounded namely in part to Against All Authorities activities as a "Mafia Clan" and most of these activities did not involve a clan name. Any activities that were taken against other groups were during a period when these groups did not have a clan tag on either. This immediately would invalidate the war as none of the activities taken by AAA can be seen as targeted against certain groups.
[B]Rule 2 [/B]- None of the sides have elected a representative. This is a huge problem as it does not give an active head to hunt during clan affairs, and namely because these representatives are expected to be the people who offer terms of surrender, terms of diplomacy, and peace treaties in times of conflict. These people are also the users which act to do the standard pre-war meetings to discuss problems in the hopes of finding alternative solutions.
[B]Rule 3[/B] - As mentioned in my comment about Rule 1, most wars must occur in part to activities being taken directly against another clan, by a clan doing clan activities. All though this may seem like murky waters to some people, it's quiet simple really. If you have a shop which is runned by your clan, your members have tags on, and they are attacked by players from another clan with their owns tag on... That's a conflict which could spark a war or negotiations. Most of the discussions I have seen on the forums of UDA, S13, and AAA have been about AAA going around and raiding and doing aggressive activities on the job like the Corleones and otherwise. If this is the case, this is NOT clan activities. It's job based activities.
[B]Rule 6 [/B]- With a personal thank you to the SAA for letting me view some of their files regarding clans, it would appear that all three groups in this clan war are usually found to be placing their bases within the city. Namely on the Blue Elevator building next to the Nexus. Not only is this against the rules regarding Contrabases in Blue Elevator, but it is also not obeying Rule 6. You guys are bringing innocent players into your conflict, and this could very well end with Passive RP'ers being shot by crossfire or killed by it. This is the main reason I am calling a ceasefire because we are already having reports of innocent players being killed.
[B]Rule 8[/B] - This brings back to the fact that Against All Authority is not doing clan activities, but job related activities. Most of the cases to be accounted for are in relation to gossip and tongue in cheek discussions about how violent AAA is to groups of players, namely contrafarmers. If this case is to be believed and accounted for, this is not a war, this is a FailRP witchhunt which breaks countless OOC rules.
[B]Rule 9[/B] - No attempts were made. None. Every time I look at these groups forum pages or look at some of their "secwet" places, I find that all attempts to have peaceful dialog were thrown out the window. Because of this, I am opening this thread and forcing a cease fire in the name of the FL Rule List. Backseat admining? Maybe. But you guys are not obeying the standard conduct of clan affairs in FL, and innocent players are getting killed and hurt because of it.
With our understanding of what rules have been bent or broken, I am calling an immediate ceasefire to the current ongoing clan war, and request that all types of Aggressive RP be avoided by members of every group in order to maintain a peaceful following of the cease fire.
This thread is going to be used to gather evidence from both sides and hopefully to reach a peaceful outcome to avoid any more mindless bloodshed. It cannot be said enough that Fearless is attempting to create Passive RP, if you guys are not willing to follow the rules to ensure that Passive RP remains, maybe all of you should stay out of clans.
