Anyone know of any good skins for steam that don't fuck with the fonts in web browsers and such?
[editline]13th July 2014[/editline]
And aren't Metro or Pixelvision?

Why does everyone who's known me for a while say I sound like a black australian when they hear my voice the first time.

Not sure if I want to buy it or not.
[QUOTE=DeVotchKa;45374396]Someone recommend me some ARPG's like Diablo/Dungeon Siege or just good RPG's in general. We're in a bit of an RPG slump right now and nothing good is coming out and anything that has can't hold my attention. I got Grim Dawn recently but it's basically just Titan Quest: Apocalypse Edition so it didn't hold me for long either, despite being pretty good.[/QUOTE]
Divine Divinity is the bee's knees
My shift has changed, I'll be working from 3 to 9 hereafter.

[QUOTE=Pretty Obscure;45376460]Divine Divinity is the bee's knees[/QUOTE]
I also recommend both Sacred 1 and 2.
Mount & Blade is a pretty good rpg, if you're willing to put up with a lack of convention. Direct combat is more skill-based than it is level-based, there's really not much of a story, and much of the game centers around recruiting, training, feeding and paying an army big and tough enough to kill everyone else's.
It's awesome, you should get it.
[QUOTE=Psychokitten;45376932]Mount & Blade is a pretty good rpg, if you're willing to put up with a lack of convention. For instance, it doesn't have much of a story, not unless you count "you're this dude trying to take over the world, go kiss up to the king so he'll give you fiefs" as a story.[/QUOTE]
I've played Mount and Blade and I like it but it just takes so long. It's like an RTS time span for First/Third combat gameplay. I was looking at the Divinity games last night and might pick them up. Picked up the Gothic series a while ago but 1, 2 and 4 don't work and 3 is probably the worst RPG i've played in quite a long while.
Divinity 2 is a departure from the series and is a third person RPG, but it's not terrible. Divine Divinity and Beyond Divinity fit what you're looking for, and though I haven't played Beyond Divinity, I can assure you that Divine Divinity is radical.
And then Divinity: Original Sin came out a while ago too, of course, and it went back to the isometric ARPG style.
There's a game I've been looking at on Steam for a while now, Inquisitor, that would fit what you're looking for, but I haven't been able to buy and play it yet so I have no idea how it is.
[editline]banana[/editline]
And holy shit, just looked at my wishlist and Inquisitor is 90% off for a dollar, so hell yeah
You know I looked at Inquisitor and it didn't look bad at all. Also holy shit it's $0.99 for the standard edition right now.
[editline]13th July 2014[/editline]
Bought both of us copies :v:
Purge the heretic
remove the unclean
torture the wicked
Yep, Inquisitor has this and all and more in spades. Better get used to sucking at combat until you gain a few levels though.
I want the Destiny Beta already.
The wait is driving me mad ;~;
I've been waiting for the Alpha for this indie WWI game called "The Trench" for four years. Now that's a wait that can kill.

The last installment in the Half-Life series came out in October of 2007. Half-Life 3 is still nowhere near the horizon, and we're probably going to be without any news on it for more years to come.
I feel bad for anyone who seriously has hope for HL3 at this point.

I feel bad that you have the stupid been-proven-false-multiple-times notion that valve won't make HL3.
???
I think it will happen
Doubt that it will be any time soon though
[editline]13th July 2014[/editline]
And totally won't be THE BEST THING EVER!!1
[editline]13th July 2014[/editline]
My post is referring to people who get excited every time valve makes an appearance at "x" gaming event.
Ah okay.
I thought you were one of those "Valve has abandoned Half-Life hurrdurr" people.

The games are good but overhyped.

I disagree to the further degree i possibly can. The games are absolutely phenomenal.

Well duh, that's a given considering how long we've been waiting for it. Also, no game is perfect. For however long the game has been in development (if it has been in development), it's going to be very nicely polished up, as what is expected from Valve with the time they take to make anything. I'm just hoping they finish up Gordon's story nicely.

What do you expect when the fanbase treats Valve and Gabe as their messiah? This goes for any development company that has had a hardcore fanbase/community for so long.

Yeah but the difference is that this game was actually formally announced to be happening.

I never said that I expected anything else
[editline]13th July 2014[/editline]
I get their stance on the game, but still believe it sucks to be set up for disappointment like that.
I think Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are hot even though they're both old enough to be my mom.
My birthday is next week and nobody is going to buy me anything because no one will come :(
I really wanted to get Banished.
I haven't had a birthday party since I was like 13. That stuff gets old after a while.

So you made both a post here and an entire thread about it? Begging won't get you far.
