Then just buy another, no prob. Also try not to use the tail of your shirt/coat to clean it, because the dust that's likely there will scratch it and bring you to square one again.

Misery mod is not something you do permadeath in. There are way too many instances of the enemies going full psychic on you and just killing you through the wall (this has happened to me multiple times, and not because they were using AP rounds. Because I don't think AP rounds can shoot through meters and meters of concrete and dirt.)
