Thinking hard about whether to get a chromecast with an audio splitter, or a roku 1 with a RCA converter for audio. Both around the same price (though the audio splitter will take a while to arrive), dunno which one to go for. I am kinda leaning towards the roku, since I am subbed to amazon prime video, and android does not currently have an app for it. However, I am liking the support apps are giving to the chromecast....
I can't take the phrase "world domination" seriously anymore, because the Pinky & The Brain theme starts playing in my head.
one of my cats brought in a raven a few hours ago. got blood and feathers everywhere, and eventually I just couldn't take seeing him torture it like he did so I tossed him out of the bathroom where the raven had ended up at. it sounded like it was choking on its own blood and it was panting like crazy. was horrible to hear. eventually it hid behind the washing machine, and got gradually more silent.
I just went back to check on it, and I saw that it had hid even further back there and wasn't moving at all. where it had been sitting earlier was a small pool of blood, and he wasn't moving anymore. I couldn't see him breath, he wasn't looking towards me in fear. it's "just" a bird, but I can't help but to tear up by the thought of seeing an animal die like that, right in front of me.
I really wish I caught it earlier before it got too badly injured. to make matters worse, I couldn't reach it to inspect the damage. this sucks :(

aren't ravens considered fairly intelligent too? it sucks knowing that it had to suffer through being attacked like that

oh man, I'm so relieved. I went to check on him again, and guess what, the guy was moving his head around a lot, tried to fly out and everything. he looked so healthy so I got a net to catch it in. got the washing machine out of the way, and the guy walked out and flew up on the desk. he didn't even look scared at all. he sat down on a towel, so I put the net on top and dragged him outdoors. lifted the net off, and he took off.
my heart really needed to see it being able to fly away like that, so happy for that bird right now. I did what I could for the little guy, now I just hope he won't get an infection or anything similar caused by the wounds he have
