jesus christ, I want to like Mass Effect, I really do. But there is just so much shit in it that makes it hard to like. The combat is terrible. Like, REALLY BAD. you just stand there and shoot at the enemy until they die. it takes like half a minute just to kill one average enemy, which doesn't make gunfights challenging or interesting, it just makes them take up time. not to mention every single level so far is filled with boring corridors that all look exactly the same. It makes sense given the setting, but it's impossible to tell where to go sometimes without looking it up.
also if someone buys me Dragonborn on steam I'll give them a free copy of bioshock that i have sitting in my inventory

well yeah but there's usually SOMETHING to the shooting that breaks it up. Bioshock had the superpowers, half life had cool weapons and the gravity gun, hell even battlefield has rocket launchers and machine guns. Mass effect is just shooting a piddly little plasma gun at an enemy's face until he loses his health and melts.

Sounds like you're just bad at the game. I mean, jesus, even I was a little overwhelmed when I first played Mass Effect, but I got into it pretty quickly and figured out what to do.

Play a Vanguard. OP as shit and super fun to play, they have super powers too. Besides, Mass Effect 2 has rocket launchers and machine guns.
