I want to move to the city suddenly. Get an apartment, that sort of thing. I'm thinking Paris.
Paris is nice but expensive. Plus I hate Parisians with the power of a thousand suns.
the french r a rude bunch
come visit me mikey
Trying to get a position as a game article writer, sent 4 over the past month, 1 earlier today, 3 got no reply and 1 did, but said they are full at the moment, same person I emailed today. Man this sucks.
didn't feel like eating dinner today night even though mom made pancakes.
the french r a rude bunch
Literally anywhere else I've got on with them famously, but in Paris they're just plain fucking terrible.
i actually went and solved all my problems. the biggest issue atm is that i ran out of peanut butter :v:
1. Life's fine for the moment. 2. No real problems either. 3. Don't tell anybody but I welched out on some paperwork this evening. That stuff is literally the devil.
I don't know why I didn't mention until now but I went backpacking/Interrailing with 3 friends across Europe for a month and got back a few weeks back. Best experience of my life. Met so many people, heard so many stories, even made some of our own: The first one which comes to mind was on the second day, where we managed to fuck up by expecting a night train to Florence from Lyon but when we asked for it the ticket lady laughed; we had to have booked atleast 2 weeks in advanced or pay an excess of 200 euros for the seats each, so that wasn't going to happen. We ended up asking for any possible routes to get the closest to Florence as we could, and left immediately, backtracking all the way back to Geneva then to Milan by 10pm. Seeing as it's the knife capital of Europe, we didn't want to get stuck outside so we planned on just sleeping in the station; however we found out we'd get kicked out at midnight. We then ended up getting a train to the airport and after an hours travelling, ended up taking shifts sleeping on the seats. We took shifts staying awake - two at a time - and when I was awake I had a walk around the airport. The place was empty and every available surface was covered with people sleeping on it. It was awesome. We went all around from Switzerland, France, Italy, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary (Budapest was the best), then looping round through Poland and Germany, finally ending up in Amsterdam before going home. Another highlight was going to the Brandenberg gate for the Portugal Germany game. The trip as a whole went really smoothly, and I don't think the weather or timing for some things could be any better.
Life is good, but it's bound to get better.

That being said I'm off for a 2 week hike round Italy, Vienna and the Poland in 3 days but I don't know if It'll be the same for a variety of reasons I won't delve into.
I really wish I could have pushed myself harder on the appalachian trail that shit is so much harder than it sounds, especially when you don't know how to prepare [editline]19th July 2014[/editline] that's one of the many things I need to stop kicking myself over
life is currently at the bottom, but hey, only one way to go when at the bottom right?
I'm having a huge allergic reaction right now, and we are about to go to an Irish festival in a few minutes or an hour.
I'm having a huge allergic reaction right now, and we are about to go to an Irish festival in a few minutes or an hour.
What are you allergic to and how severe does it normally get?
life is currently at the bottom, but hey, only one way to go when at the bottom right?
honestly I kinda wish my situation was shittier so I could at least have that thought in the back of my mind even though I'm pretty depressed shit could get a whole lot worse, which isn't a fun thought considering how bad I feel already
I kind of wish I really worked harder on something when I was younger, such as piano or football, just so now I could enjoy the rewards from that. Not that I'm really unhappy but I often wonder how life would be if I had advanced more on a skill before now. I've only now really got the drive to do it.
I've really been trying to get into playing piano, but I have no motivation to do anything like that anymore

I havent put my foot ouside the door in 10 months now since I have no energy at all there are stills a few downs every now and then and pretty much no ups at all
I've really been trying to get into playing piano, but I have no motivation to do anything like that anymore
I go through phases where I play alot then suddenly don't practice for 6 months. About a year ago from now I got RSI from it and had to take a break, but now I'm really playing more now. I hope I can continue with it when I head off to uni in september. The last thing I want to do is go for the first year without it. It's weird, for the first while of lessons I didn't practice whatsoever so never went anywhere with it, then when I started suddenly everything tried to get in the way.
piano is such a good instrument to learn. Kinda wish I didnt forget all my lessons :/
Same, I'm considering getting the keyboard out of retirement and trying again.
I had a phase when I was very interested in music, then learned how to play both Carnatic and Western music on the piano. I can still play excellently according to a lot of people.

It's also completely changed my taste in music from playing it. I used to like metal, then DnB, but my taste gravitated towards the stuff I was playing until all I could do was listen to Debussy or Chopin. I really appreciate it now for some reason.
interactivity makes learning a lot easier and fun. when I first got my guitar, I stopped bothering after a week since it was more of a chore. then I found Rocksmith, and I learned so much in a short time span. really fun
Out of curiosity where are you off to uni?
I'm going to do Mechanical Engineering at Heriot-Watt university in Edinburgh. My merge!
I love classical music.
I have a weird obsession with discovering music; I used to do it with metal bands but now I just continuously search for new composers from late romantic onwards. I can't wait to get to the stage when I can attempt Liszt or Rachmaninov. It's something I always want to work towards, be it slowly.
this guy in my hostel woke up just so he could unplug my charger and plug his one in, then went back to sleep seriously
Are you going to their concert in October? They're going to be here in Florida then :D
I would like to go to a concert of theirs, but unfortunately won't be able to. Hopefully next tour they have I'll get a chance.
I should probably actually get a piano teacher instead of self teaching would probably be a better way to force myself to get a solid foundation instead of just trying to learn a piece right off the bat
