I just found the Magnum sound replacement mod I made for L4D2 on page 26 of top rated all time in the workshop. It might not be on the first page, but it makes me feel good seeing it there.

Looking at MGS V's trailer (which I know is not a "modern military shooter") or even back at Spec Ops: The Line, the idea of a modern military game being about the horrors of war instead of SAVE DA [DEL]WORL[/del] USA has so much untapped potential! And its not like the audience of games like CoD would be against it. Ask any CoD fan that's played since at least CoD4 what their favorite scene from the series is and chances are they'll say " the nuke". Why? Because it was actually a well done powerful terrifying scene. And every CoD since has tried to have its own "nuke scene" to verying degrees of... Success... but the problem is its always just one or two scenes and its back to KILL BROW DUDES N' RUSSKIES SAVE THE DAY!!!!
Besides Ghosts' poor sales (by CoD standards) goes to show me thay if CoD (or any other MMS) wants stay interesting they have to do one of two things. Go over the top silly like BLOPS2 made a step towards (which is actually what I'd probably prefer from the CoD series specifically), or go full on grim and serious.
Though I imagine publishers would throw a shitfit at anything controversial and wouldn't allow it...

I bought a new sketchbook a number of months ago with the intention of getting back into drawing, but I haven't.
I haven't come up with a single thing to draw, haven't even done any doodles or anything, it's completely empty.
every couple of minutes my air condition makes a HRNGGGGHHHH noise and it's startin to piss me off
My air conditioner is such a noisy shit...
But I sleep so much more soundly with the noise :v:
