My 3 week vacation is over tomorrow, I don't really mind I love my job.
But my mom does the second surgery this week to try remove the cancer tumor we recently found out she had. I hope everything goes well.
So last night/this morning this guy added me.
His name was like "Raccoonfury" or something. So I was like "alright whatever, might be funny"
It wasn't.
He was this otherkin dude who told me how I was a terrible person for liking raccoons and said Rocket Raccoon was "incredibly offensive and triggering"
Then he blocked and removed me before I could say anything.

This made me realize that pretty much everywhere except the Americas (even even ours are pretty bad when it comes to South America and northern Canada) has really shitty timezones that look terrible.
I love Star Trek, but all the episodes are so formulaic. Every episode begins with a slice of life from the 24th century and a Captain's log. After the first five minutes and intro credits, the problem arises and the next forty minutes we have the crew trying to solve it. Then at the last five minutes when Enterprise is threatened by certain doom, Wil Wheaton pops up from fucking nowhere and solves the problem, averting catastrophe.
Fucking Wil Wheaton. He's like a fifteen year old kid who somehow knows more than an entire crew of college educated adults who have decades of experience, wisdom, and intuition.
Fuck Wil Wheaton and Mariana Sirtis. The episodes centric on these two D-list actors are the worst. I just wish Wheaton and Sirtis where in the same room together when a Klingon battle cruiser blasts a crater into the hull of Enterprise so that they can be sucked out into the icy, radioactive vacuum of space.
Best episodes are the ones with Picard, Data, and Q.
I think Star Trek is ripe for a new television series. If series like Game of Thrones and Walking Dead can succeed on television, I think Star Trek can too. Especially after two successful reboot films. But if they did make new Star Trek series, they should change how they do story telling. I mean, look at Breaking Bad and the aforementioned television series. They have lengthy narrative arcs with interconnecting subplots. It's richer, deeper, and what modern audiences crave. They can still do "monster of the week" episodes, but let those be breather episodes in between major, ongoing story lines.
