i love waking up from a good long sleep. i absolutely despise actually trying to fall asleep though. for me, it's ~15 minutes of hoping that my body doesn't decide that "NOPE YOU ARE NOT GOING TO SLEEP".
even with my new bed and better sleeping conditions, I still have problems sleeping.
I finished dinner earlier, two slices of french toast and two scrambled eggs. I was hungry earlier, and I'm even hungrier now. It's almost like I didn't even eat at all. What did I do wrong? Did the food just disintegrate when it reached my stomach?

It usually takes me an hour, hour and a half to actually fall asleep, but once I'm a sleep, I don't wake up until my alarm goes or my body says "fuck you wake up you lazy shit".

that's how it used to be for me. my mattress was actually just a bunch of springs with a thin sheet on top of it, or at least that's how it felt. About a week before moving and getting a new bed I just gave up on trying to sleep normally and stayed up until I was dead tired enough to fall asleep in a few seconds. I also slept for really long times on the mattress. I'd go to bed at like 10 at night and wake up at 11 in the afternoon. Sleeping for 13 hours was actually a pretty scary thing when I thought about it.

My mattress now is pretty much the same thing you had, but it's comfy enough. As for my sleeping problem, I just lie in bed with my eyes closed and wait for sleep to take hold. Like I said, it takes a while.

i have a difficult time sleeping on the same surface more than 4 nights in a row so i rotate from my bed to the couch in my room to the floor to the futon in the living room to the couch in the living room and back to my bed
