I gotta get the Metro Redux's when I get my new Harddrive. I'll get a discount on 2033, and I don't own Last Light so it'll be sweet!
Yeah, I was surprised to see they're bundled together. Super hyped.
man I hate when people don't know how to properly play the steam market Like, so, Gigantic Army is in the new Humble Bundle. I play it and get a card drop. It's a foil card. Look at the market, price starting at $2.79, so I set mine to $2.78 some shit then decides "WELL WE CAN'T HAVE THAT" and puts one up for $2 that's not how you work the market, that's going to fuck over the price of the card if it doesn't sell because then the next person to get it is going to go to sell and see it's starting at 2 bucks and then go $1.99 and so forth until it's not worth shit
you can play the steam market?
So I hadn't seen Nerd Cubed in a long time, so I decided to watch something by him again. I have been thinking about getting BF4 lately, but im not sure if I really want to. I mean, I havent really played many games (nor been interested in it) for a few months now. After doing my GCSE's, I just kinda got into a routine of not bothering to play games anymore because they just dont interest me anymore :( [editline]10th August 2014[/editline]
So I hadn't seen Nerd Cubed in a long time, so I decided to watch something by him again. They were both too long and sometimes just boring to watch, and his voice got pretty annoying. That said though, he does have some very good points about the gaming industry and youtube, and a lot of his rant videos I do completely agree with.
you can play the steam market?
just like playing the stock market man, buy low sell high I've got some 20 badges and never spent a dime of my own money on cards sell shit, buy shit, rinse and repeat
sounds too hard
sounds too hard
It's really not, you can play the fuck out of the market. One of my friends has made probably $50 just off of miscellaneous game cards.

Ok then, I have a euro what should i do
What happened to minecraft? I remember when survival had just come out and I could spend hours trying to survive on the little island I was on. I'd build a massive wooden tower right in the center and shit was just really fun. Now I can't play for more than 30 minutes before I get bored of everything, even with massive mod-packs installed.

I completely killed all my enjoyment of the game and can't stand playing it for 30 minutes or less. It's sad too, because just like you said, they've added so much shit but it's still boring.

I didn't really know anything about it so when nighttime came, I decided to wander around aimlessly. That's when I encountered a Creeper for the first time, and I was legitimately terrified. Good times.

I remember when creepers attacked you like zombies do and they only exploded when you killed them.
Beta 1.7.4 was the best era.
Yeah I played it way too much before it was released, I dont think I ever actually played it properly after the actual release because I just couldnt find the enjoyment anymore.
I remember when worlds were tiny, there was no multiplayer, there were 10 blocks, no day/night cycles, no monsters, no crafting, no trees... And now I just have no interest in touching it again.
My first experience of it though was that little demo they had on the site which was really slow as fuck. It was basically just creative on this tiny block. I thought it was the coolest shit. Then like a week later my mum just said I can have it and I must of spent a month straight on that game The fact I had tonsillitis at the time didnt help either haha
Beta 1.7.4 was the best era.
Naw dude, the early alpha stuff was fantastic. I remember lava and water would spread infinitely. So there were these Lava Survival servers where you'd have a few minutes to build a base before the map would be flooded. Then people would make underground tunnels to connect each other's bases. The real fun was being sneaky and breaking holes in people's stuff to let the lava in. It was against the rules, but I think it made stuff more exciting.
funny how a huge chunk of people stopped playing it around the adventure update during beta
The updates from 1.8 onwards really hurt Minecraft. Primarily because they removed the sense of mysteriousness from the world. The dragon, enchantment, strongholds, the villagers, etc. really didn't do it for me. I remember wandering around in the first world I created, and I was mystified. I wanted to explore, I wanted to see what was out there, I wanted to go on an adventure, and I wanted to tackle whatever was waiting for me. I just don't have those feeling anymore.

I enjoyed building my little mud fort on a hill, and then just gradually expanding outwards because I was too scared to fight the mobs. for me it felt as if it tried to be a cheaper skyrim with the newer updates, all this enchanting bullshit.
I don't think they ever did that.

http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Creeper In Survival Test, the creeper's default look was a darker shade of green and flashed to a lighter green upon being hit. Before creepers spotted the player their heads would droop down. Creepers behaved much like zombies except their attacks dealt only two hearts worth of damage rather than the zombies' three (or the more recent range of 8+). When killed, this creeper caused a 4×4×4 spherical explosion that left a sizable crater, destroyed plenty of blocks (with the exception of stone) and hurt any players nearby. The creeper was worth 250 points when killed, but this was later decreased to 200 points.
